Thanks for everything you’ve done for all of us in PFS, and I’m looking forward to seeing your contributions to the Starfinder team! You’ve always been an incredibly positive presence and that will definitely be missed.
That being said, I’m definitely excited to see what Linda brings as OP Lead Developer!

I would not like to see this in any way, shape, or form. I’m not overly fond of convention exclusive scenarios so seeing something that goes much further would be an unwelcome change.

I think we owe it to the players to give them the benefit of the doubt regarding goblins as PC. If leadership treats players like they can’t be trusted with the responsibilty it reinforces problematic behavior. If there are goblin PC’s, they will still have to uphold the tenets of the Pathfinder Society and if they don’t, it will fall to GM’s then (as it does now) to curb any behavior detrimental to the table.

Every scenario the man has written is pretty awesome, if not a classic. His scenarios don’t pull punches, which is really satisfying as both a player and a GM. The Confirmation is still my favorite of the 1-2 scenarios, and the only one of the 1-2 evergreens that I’ve played more than once. Rats of Round Mountain pt1 has one of the most memorable final fights in a 7-11. The Sealed Gate is brutal, but in a satisfying way and features an enemy that I had never actually seen used before or since. The Technic Siege is a fun addition to Season 6, there is a lot of flexibilty in the scenario and has an NPC that uses an archetype that PC’s are prohibited from using, which is cool. Race for the Runecarved Key is kind of meh, and is one of the leading reasons people seem to dislike Sheila Heidmarch, but there’s nothing altogether awful about the multi-table.

Seeing as how the Society has continued to shift closer and closer towards the good side of the alignment spectrum over the past few years, I don’t think allowing LE would be a very good idea. I would also be inclined to agree with people that would like to see the worship of evil deities removed from OP. While I have partied with people that have been able to RP a worshipper of an evil deity in a reasonable, party-friendly fashion I have seen more people use it as an excuse to act in the most antisocial and disruptive way they could justify.

I was unaware that Yjae was a place but now that I know it's there, checking it out would be pretty rad.
Also, a return to Round Mountain wold be pretty awesome.
The Silverhex Chronicles would be a pretty decent place to start. It's a series of 5 adventures that last about an hour each.

But I would really like it if her resolution also involves first getting a lot more scoop on her, because I really don't know all that much about her. So far she's been a bit of a peripheral antagonist, swooping in all of a sudden, shanking someone, and getting out. The Dalsine Affair fleshes out her motivations for hating the society as much as she does.

I haven’t played any PFS since October, I've just GM’d an occasional game since then. Since the local scene left me burnt out on PFS to the point of stepping down from being a VO, I had just considered dropping out altogether. But, I’m starting to get the itch again, and I think I’m going to go online to scratch it. I’ve got some boons to burn through, so new characters seem to be coming.
I’d like to see Muhlia al-Jakri get her comeuppance.

That’s actually pretty exciting to hear. I’m curious to see how they decide to put the past 10 years of AP’s into the timeline.

Or, we could just suspend our disbelief and get on with it. Could well be our PFS1 characters are still kicking around, just not right for the new assignments.

Tallow wrote: James Anderson wrote: Tallow wrote: But having some sort of legacy bonus for your commitment to PFS1 should definitely be allowed. Perhaps in the form of a boon that grants 500gp, 1XP, 2PP to a character of choice times the number of stars you have. And that character can get a special title (with escalating moderate bonus per star) from a short list, so when you introduce your character at the table, everyone will know that you were an N-star GM in PFS1. Not good enough. A one-time boost to one character is not the right scale. If they are to go away, the compensation should be on-going, and should apply to all your characters. I disagree. That could really break the balance of the game if just because you GM'd a crapload in PFS1 all your characters get a significant bonus. That wouldn't be fair to everyone else. We need to find a happy medium/compromise. I agree 100%. Especially since GM stars don’t have much of a mechanical benefit for PC’s in PFS right now (except for the GM star boon and the bonus to the once a scenario reroll).

Thomas Seitz wrote: So no one has sanctioned Strange Aeons then?
Weird...
Also! I picked up the book! I'm a good boy! :)
They sanctioned some of the character options, but they haven’t sanctioned the AP itself.
My bad, the Hell’s Rebels AP chronicles are not currently on the AR page. They are only three full AP’s behind (not counting Hell’s Vengeance as it will likely never be sanctioned). The point still stands.

Any of the vets out there know approximately how long it's been taking for APs to get PFS support? Thanks!
Paizo has not sanctioned an Adventure Path for PFS Organized Play in well over a year (the last AP to be sanctioned for Pathfinder Society Organized Play was Giantslayer, which released over two years ago). Paizo has been better when it comes to adding character options from AP’s to the Aditional Resources page. But don’t expect to play War For the Crown for PFS credit anytime soon, though I’d love to be proven wrong.

I voted for Tamrin for a few reasons. The first and foremost is experience. As a Bellflower Tiller he has been fighting the system from the inside for a good while now. Also of note is that he puts further distance between the faction and Maldris’ many misdeeds. Maldris’ skeletons have skeletons in the closet. Lastly, he is a halfing, and halflings are pretty cool.

Mr. Bonkers wrote: Mitch Mutrux wrote: Steven Schopmeyer wrote: As far as I know, he is stranded and unable to continue. +1 Isn't there the possibility to run scenario 3 again for him, using the rest of the party (which obviously have played it before) to make the table legal? They won't get any rewards, and their consumables are tracked like normal, but at least this person who missed it might be able to continue with the rest of you guys.
As written in the season 9 Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guilde Guide on page 7-8: wrote: Minimum Legal Table Size: You are permitted to
replay an adventure in order to meet the minimum legal
table size, with the following stipulations.
Notify the GM: You must inform the GM that you have
already played the adventure or run it as a GM. GMs are
encouraged to be as flexible as possible when replaying
an adventure is the only method to run a legal table, but
a GM has the right to deny replaying an adventure to
players if she feels uncomfortable running an adventure
for players who have foreknowledge of the story.
No Spoilers: Spoiling plot points or using insider
knowledge to affect game play is grounds for the GM to
remove players from the table. You should be very careful
about character knowledge versus player knowledge. If
you are concerned about possible spoilers, take the GM
aside and ask her how she would like to handle it.
Rewards: Replaying to make a legal table doesn’t earn
any rewards. The Chronicle sheet for the adventure is
a placeholder. It should note that the scenario has been
replayed for no credit and award no gold, Prestige Points,
Fame, XP, boons, item access, or any other benefits or
disadvantages. You must track consumables, purchases,
and conditions acquired by playing the adventure. This
is the only exception to not having two copies of the same
Chronicle sheet assigned to one character.
Honestly, I would probably let the party do that if that’s what is necessary to keep the group together. What I would definitely have done (I’m not trying to place blame here, so please nobody take it that way) is reschedule the game if one of the players couldn’t make it, especially if it was a legitimate family emergency. This is EotT we’re talking about, after all.

Anyone on here playing some Destiny 2? If so, what platform?
Gary, as I have said multiple times now, I have put in the request. I am taking steps now to ensure that GM's have copies of their scenarios.
Use common sense, Gary. The first section you quoted is saying that when you have to choose who is going to receive the credit for playing a pregen, the character that is going to eventually apply the chronicle must be lower level the the pregen used. The second quoted section provides guidance on when the chosen character gets to apply that chronicle. I know that you already know this, the language is almost the same as that in the PFS guide. At this point it would appear that you are being needlessly obtuse and argumentative in an attempt to get some sort of unneeded clarification.
I don't recall there being a whole lot of overlap between the two works especially since the two works deal with different Thassilonian kingdoms. I might go ahead and give it quick reread tomorrow, if I do I'll come back to this thread and let you know for certain. But, your players should be pretty safe.

I would require people to have the physical version, like in PFS. The idea is to have something branded out there and displayed, to give SFS a little added visibility.
I would assume that the rules for applying this chronicle would function similarly to that of other pregen only scenarios. When/if I GM this, I'm going to have people apply it to a character within the level range on the chronicle, 3-4. I think if they wanted the chronicle to only be applied to a fourth level character, they would have made the chronicle level four only.
GM Eazy-Earl wrote: On page 42 of the CRB, the authors wrote: ...some androids are constructed or customize themselves to look like other races... Fair enough, I stand corrected.
Per the CRB the Android is a medium humanoid. Given that the writeup for Androids states specifically that they look human. That is what I would go with, and that is how I am going to deal with androids at my table unless I see something that says otherwise.

My -701 is a Lashunta Icon Envoy that happens to be a burgeoning pop star working with the Wayfinders to seek out and establish new venues to perform at. She immediately hated SMC. Needless to say she bought their album.
As a point, characters affected by the UM archetypes that got removed only got to retrain levels of the classes affected. Not really a full rebuild. Items changed from AG are still able to be sold back for full.
As long as you have the chronicles that you received for playing you will be fine.

I've heard that tokens will not be redeemable at Gencon next year. Local conventions may function differently (and many of them use the token system). I am not sure. The only tokens that will be usable at Gencon going forward are the ones you get from the current Gencon.
