AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"Aye. Let them fight then we clean up mess."

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"Hope we not find everyone dead."

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Seems so.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"Bampfwick must die, but we too few to win. Go back, warn others is good. Get rid of princess, she don't belong in war."

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

What was our original mission? Weren't we supposed to just find out where the orcs were and report back to the chief? If so, we probably shouldn't try to assault an orc fort. Especially with an elven princess on our hands, and likely both a troll and a hag inside. >_>* I also remember one of the traitors escaping, what if he warned someone about us?

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Tupilek follows wordlessly, mounting up on Pikkuveli.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Hearing other voices agree, for Tupilek it is no longer an argument. He hunkers down next to Pikkuveli to wait out the night and the rain.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"If we move, maybe find orcs again. Who knows how many them are, where they camped. I doubt they come back here tonight. Weather not good, and they have troll to play with."

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

We find somewhere defensible, possibly the cliff? And kill them. They've got a hunting troll to sniff us out wherever we go. We need somewhere with a choke point where only one or two orcs can get at us at a time.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Wait, a score is twenty right? F*CK! Now that's something to run from.

Cursing quietly under his breath that all their work with the troll is about to be undone, Tupilek realizes that he is no match for so many orcs at once. Mounting up on Pikkuveli again, he whispers "Nevermind brother, we live, fight another day." Tupilek urges the mammoth as quietly as possible into the trees after his companions.

Pikku stealth: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"Cowards." Tupilek says, unable to ignore the troll at his feet. He'd seen too many of his friends and family killed by trolls. Trolls who serve Bampfwick, same as the orcs. He grunts at Pikkuveli, indicating that the mammoth should finish off the troll.

Gore (includes prone): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Slam(includes prone): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Dismounting from the mammoth Tupilek slings his greatclub into the holder on his back and draws his shortbow. "Don't stop attacking it little brother, even if it looks dead." He instructs the mammoth, pointing to the mass of twitching regenerating troll flesh. He knocks an arrow and turns towards the sound of the oncoming orcs waiting for them to arrive.

I'm not sure why everyone is running away, but that's not Tupilek's style. The troll wasn't even unconscious yet and everyone starts running?

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

If we don't have any oil, we can just keep it at negatives while we deal with the orcs and then cover it with a pile of stuff that's too heavy for it to move. Entomb it alive until someone digs it out.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Once it goes to negatives we could CDG, but it'll still regenerate eventually. I think the orcs are using it as a hunting dog.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Tupilek and Pikkuveli continue their furious assault on the regenerating giant.

Greatclub: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Damage: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

Slam: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Gore: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Tupilek drops his lance, and drawing his club urges Pikkuveli to step over the remaining short distance to the troll. Both rider and beast attack in concert, trying to down the troll.
_______________
I should have flanking, if I don't 5' to a spot that does.

Great club: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Damage: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

Gore: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Slam: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Tupilek drives his heels into Pikkuveli, "Yah!" he cries as the furry pachyderm lumbers forward towards the troll.

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Swift action Challenge troll.
Charge Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

The rain whips into Tupilek's eyes like tiny darts in his wild charge forward and the tip of the lance completely misses the Troll.

Greaaattt....

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"Attack now while it distracted?" Tupilek asks from Pikkuveli's back. He lowers his long lance in the direction of the troll, ready to charge forward as soon as it's clear he won't be alone.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Have I had time to put on armor? What about mount Pikkuveli?

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Aooooooooouuuuu, werewolf in london. Aoooooooouuuuu

Tupilek wakes easily and begins to strap on his new breastplate as quickly as possible. He gladly accepts assistance from anyone who is already armored. After tending to the breastplate, he grabs his club and mounts up on Pikkuveli. "Thing you see on two legs or four?"

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Aye, Wheatbeard.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

With no one else showing interest in the breastplate, Tupilek straps on the bronze masterwork. Though it weighs the same as his old wooden armor, it's much easier to move in and doubtless provides better protection. Perhaps now Bampfwick will finally know the same fear that she has inflicted on so many others. Tupilek is clearly happy to be back with Pikkuveli, nuzzling and scratching him often. He looks askance at the elf whenever she goes near the mammoth, but doesn't do anything to stop her.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Cool, updating my sheet.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

So can I wear the bronze breastplate?

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

I think the GM gave it to me already. Thanks though.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

The armor is perfect for Tupilek, and I already have a reach weapon to use while mounted. A lance, which does extra damage on charge etc. I don't want the spear.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Derr. My bad. Sorry.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Tupilek grunts. Holding up the armor and weapon he asks, "Who use?"

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"Thanks." Tupilek says, grabbing the club and breastplate. "We use these smash burning lord."

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Tupilek steps back, but his club is still in his hands.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Why do we disturb the demonic dead when we could be hunting orcs? Growling in distaste Tupilek rushes forward with his greatclub.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Tupilek is still down a lot of HP, and wants to go kill Bampfwick and stick to the mission. He was all rearing to go to follow that orc back to it's fellows so we could gather some intel and complete our mission, but then Moklik murdered him. Now we seem to have shifted main focus to this crypt thing just because it's here. What happened to the urgent intel gathering mission to the mudpits people?

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"Asheru, you please heal my wounds?" Tupilek asks the shaman after their rest.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

I should be good.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

I also need to rest still.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"Honor is for humans. This garbage." Tupilek says nudging the corpse with his toe. He follows Wheatbeard outside to rest near Pikkuveli.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Tupilek goes along with the ruse. "Tell him we need rest after the battle with spiders. In morning he lead us to the mud pits. When we close we kill him, scout orcs and return to over-chief."

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"Yes, we are Garrilk. We have elf. Him lead us to arch, we kill orcs."

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"Information lead to vengance. Spin your lies bone man."

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"Any of you understand this worm?"

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"The. f*cking. b*tch. who. murdered. my. tribe!" He says, enunciating each word with a fist to the orc's face.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"Him say Bampfwick?" Tupilek asks in a low growl. Walking over to the cocoon he cuts the face of the orc inside free. Punching it straight in the face he grabs it by the throat and shouts, "Where is Bampfwick!? WHERE!?"

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Why would we? Who would have taught us?

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Tupilek follows, wincing as his armor rubs against his wounds.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

Tupilek nods.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"No one see us down here? I don't care where, need sleep now!" He insists pointing to the two deep and still bleeding bite wounds in his torso.

I'm at 3/12 HP. We're down a healing spell, I'm not sure if Wheatbeard memorized more, but even one's a big deal for this level. We need to rest before we go dungeon delving. We're also shy one mammoth for anything that goes on in here, and he's actually a better fighter than me.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"Lets sleep here. Need your wind to make us whole Wheatbeard."

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"I hurt bad too. We rest soon. Maybe there." Tupilek says, pointing to the chamber ahead.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

You guys have really got to remember to take 10 in non combat situations. Keep seeing so many low rolls come up that could be avoided. Not that it would matter in the case of the healing, but 16 is a hell of a lot better than 8.

Bonewright doesn't have light? I didn't buy any torches, usually don't need them since one or two characters in a party can typically make magical light. Didn't consider how that would be rarer in this world >_>*

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

I'm all leveled up.

DM said via PM it was cool if I made us a map to use. So I made this map.

You can add images to it by either copy+pasting the image in from another tab in your browser, or saving an image to your hard drive and then going to Insert->Image->Choose and Image to Upload.

After they're in there you can drag the corners to resize them to match the grid. If you want one image to be on top of another, right-click it and go to order. Move it as needed.

I drew out a 20' template (the red dotted line under our characters). It can be copied as needed, and the color can be changed. For instance to represent a torch you could make it yellow. Then line it up with the character holding the torches's icon and hold down ctrl, then click the icon. Then select group. You can then drag the character around and the "torch" will follow.

Same thing goes for distinguishing like enemies. You can use the text box tool (on the toolbar at the top T inside the square) and make an appropriately sized one over the monster's image. Then ctrl-click them and group them. You can then copy and paste it and double click the numbers to change them. I've made a few example orcs on the right side.

Finally, this map is rather large. So once we resize images folks may have trouble seeing them. You can get quite a bit more detail by zooming in.

It's set so that anyone can edit it, but I figure we should leave that mostly to DM Stubbs to avoid things happening out of order in combat.

AC 21, T 13, FF 17 / Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1 (All +1 vs arcane) / Init +5 / Perception +1

"All go down inside, rest there." Tupilek says, climbing down the rope into the darkness.
