Tsukai lets out a hiss of frustration Smoke may cause many issues for us. Key in pocket may as well be in safe. We lose time and must act. Tsukai gives Bregolas a look of uncertainty I think you were right. Smashing door may be only option. We can try together and hope friends can do their part

I agree. It seems we have a choice between extremely difficult or the Impossible. I don't see any way to get the key. If we leave then we have wasted time. I agree with smashing the door in. We were steered away from that option earlier because I thought more reasonable ways of entry would present themselves. It looks as if smoking out the ship is a worse approach to achieving our goal.

If both Tsukai and Bregolas can strike the door together, would that aid in the success of breaking down the door?

Since we can't communicate with the rest of the group we will have to rely on their improvisational skills to control the situation at their end.

Paizo campaigns often have several options for completing an objective. I don't think they would have created a task that would require disable device or magic as the only options to get past an obstacle. Not every party will have either of those two classes represented. I think we can achieve our goal with the classes and skills available.

My thought was to ignite a few smoke arrows below deck and remain hidden. The captain may come below deck to check on the items in the locked room. We could attempt to knock him out, take what we need and escape under the confusion of the smoke.

This is just a thought of how we could gain access to the items we need without anyone knowing what we are doing.

If that idea doesn't work then The Air Eidolon could just rip off the captain's pants and float them down the steps.

Tsukai lets out an irritated hiss. I thought key would be in pocket. Now, how do we get key from pocket to key in lock? Tsukai discusses their dilemma with Bregolas, out of sight, in the lower deck of the ship.
If we get Captain to come below, we can grab him and key. We get papers then sneak away Tsukai scratches his scaly chin as he continues to think We could make some diversion at front of ship. Maybe captain come to secure important papers. If nobody come then maybe nobody hear if we smash in door?

Tsukai whispers to Bregolas We need to find key. Maybe one is hidden here or in room above
Tsukai searches area for any hidden compartments or possible keys that were dropped by an absent minded captain

Perhaps no keys but Tsukai did find some interesting toenail clippings. He would swear that one looked just like Venture-Captain Valsin but decides to keep that thought to himself

Are there windows in the room that would allow us to enter from a different way or are there any other options to gaining entry? I wasn't sure if we noticed any keys in the room above us or if there are any tools that would allow us to pry the door open with less noise than bashing it?
Disable device is a class skill for Tsukai, but he doesn't have any skill points allocated to it

Tsukai looks at the lock and then back at Bregolas No skill to open. All yours Tsukai steps back and lets Bregolas use his door opening skills. He makes his way back to the stairway and listens for anyone approaching

Tsukai continues to move stealthily, across the ship's deck, towards the captain's chambers. He examines the door for anything unusual or sounds from inside. He checks to see if the door is locked and will enter if all is good.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

Tsukai contemplates leaping into the water, but realizes the noise may attract unwanted attention. He watches cautiously and eases himself into the chilly waters.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Waiting on Bregolas to enter, Tsukai begins paddling his way to the aft of the ship.
Swim: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Brew, Tsuaki purchased a snorkel but I am unsure how it aids someone in water. I says very little about the benefit, other than the obvious, and nothing about any adjustments to skill checks. He will use it if it will provide partial cover to aid in stealth or to increase a swim check.

Tsukai examines the ship for the best place to stealthily climb aboard that is closest to captain's quarters

If two of us poking a thumb at himself and Bregolas sneak aboard. Can you two keep others busy? Any ideas if things go bad? Tsukai awaits for a response as he continues to scan his surroundings

I meant no offense. It seems that this scenario started off strange because of the lack of input. If you follow the chronological order of the posts, it was already decided what the first task was going to be. I thought you purposefully made that last post because Auryn may have her head in the clouds at times.

Tsuaki stands with a blank stare on his face. His scaly features not revealing his current mood and his unblinking eyes looking ahead as if unaware of his surroundings. Slowly, a soft hiss is released from his mouth I was thinking for a moment. Ship may be best attempt at success. I can scale side of ship, with another to get papers. Need someone who knows what papers look like. Others can distract crew. Maybe as inspectors of cargo. Maybe as business men wanting to ship cargo....whatever makes sense...they decide. May not look good if all try to sneak in. Thoughts? Tsukai's lidless eyes then fall upon those who have spoken to join in the adventurer.

Tsukai takes the arm of the grey robed caster and leads him over to his companion. Surrender shows wisdom. We now show mercy. Sit here. Tsukai points to a place near the wall and crouches down in front of the caster. He begins to stare intently into the caster's eyes and his voice takes on a relaxing and hypnotic tone. We will not harm you or your companion. We just seek answers

As Tsukai begins his move he can hear Bregolas shout for assistance. Having already committed to his course of action, Tsukai smiles and wonders if Bregolas can read his mind.

He bounds into position and takes a swing at the robed caster.

Just a question about placement of our adversaries. Should purple guy have moved yet to get flanking on Breg? It may not matter since he just got chomped but I am not sure if purple and Green got flipped

Tsukai can run 150' and he is attempting to get behind the pillar to the left of Mr. Blue and Ms Green. I will move token when I get home. I last stated that Tsukai had his nunchaku at the ready. He will be using that weapon instead of using an action to draw his sword
