Trellik would take 10 on that culture check if allowed. He pretty much always takes 10 on any "good" skill when allowed. culture: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28 "This very strange. On the off chance that this happens to be accurate I just want to assure you that I have NOT read anything at all about this Adventure Path :-) "This only guess. But Drift travel dangerous, sometimes things come into Drift. Maybe we captured, on ship in Drift. Accident happen with asteroid. Ship damaged, we released. So we on ship. Maybe in Drift. Maybe out of Drift." Trellik would also try and read the book. As Tuk says, feel free to roll on my behalf whatever skill is appropriate.

Hit points have never made ANY in world sense (yeah, I've seen the justifications. But the justifications fall apart VERY quickly if you look at them at ANY level of detail). But, over the years, I've managed to internalize them enough that I just completely ignore how silly they are in world and treat them as a total abstraction that makes games easier (and better than most of the other abstractions come up with). I just treat Stamina/Hit points more or less the same way. A gaming abstraction that absolutely does NOT make any in world sense if you look at them closely. In reality, somebody shoots you in the chest and you are severely injured for months or die. That doesn't make for good heroic fantasy and both Pathfinder and Starfinder are heroic fantasy.

I think the fact that heal spells do NOT heal stamina damage is a very deliberate design decision. If nothing else, it makes the Envoy ability far more powerful. Personally, I wouldn't change it in a home game until I had more experience with how the existing system works

With a clear shot, Trellik is confident that he'll be able to hit the opponent. Unfortunately, as they say, pride goeth before a fall, While he manages to distract his enemy, his shot still goes wild survival: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21

Unfortunately, Gorn is giving cover to the enemy. But, with luck, maybe he can manage to hit it anyway. Trellik shoots at the rock behind the weird thing, hoping to ricochet it survival: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30

I may be confused. I THINK that the only enemy still up is K4. Following assumes that is correct. Trellik moves to the spot immediately to the right of Tw (I think that is Tw3) and shoots the bad guy. survival: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26

I think my attack missed, unfortunately. When I make a trick attack, I make two rolls. The first (survival in my case) determines if the opponent is flatfooted or not. If he IS flatfooted THEN I get the additional 1d4 damage. So, my survival roll of 15 definitely does NOT succeed (DC is 20 + CR). So, opponent not flat footed. So, if my 14 hits his KAC Trellik STILL hits but for less damage. If (as you stated) the 14 is below his KAC then, alas, no hit at all.

I usually flavour non lethal damage as shooting for the kneecaps or other body parts that can be injured without killing. I'm actually finding it more difficult to figure out how to flavour stun pistols harming undead or constructs by just aiming at vulnerable bits (which is presumably what the -4 is supposed to reflect)

init: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 Can't access map Trellik would move away from the creatures on such a way to not provoke an attack of opportunity. If there is a place that he can get cover, he would. So, how good a storage container is a Ysoki cheek pouch? A question that I didn't think I'd be asking :-). "No, I don't remember anything either. I wonder how long we were in those pods? Could be a LOT longer than we realize. Happy thought. Not!!" He will very cautiously taste a tiny, tiny bit of the goop to see if is is edible. "We should try and make friends with dog things. Maybe similar to gnolls. Not want them angry behind us" He then tries talking directly to them. Taps himself.

He then goes to some of the goop and draws something approximating a Ysoki. "Ysoki." Then points to Twitch and himself.
Then points to them inquiringly
