Tilladee stays away from the politicking and such. No sense in running his mouth when there are rocks to find!
Dollars a raises a brow " Many oaths? I'd have thunk it only took one oath to be held an to yer words. Maybe being twice as tall means for more oaths to do yer work. " he said moving from out if the shadow of the gate door with axe still at the ready. "Alright then, you lot look like you know yer soldiering business, I got rocks to find." he said before heading back off to make sure the catapult was well prepared.
I may not have kickstarted it but I did jump on shortly after and pre-order as well but from the main site.
Tilladee makes his way to the gate but stands behind it with axe semi at the ready in case there was need to spring forth and attack.
Tilladee walks along with the cleric. It'd be wrong to send anyone alone with the potential for the bandits to be back at any moment.
Tilladee swung his axe head to bear on Shontar "I be a Weaponsmith not some bloody engineer." he said grumpily before turning towards Oleg "Aye, Gnomes are often too cheery for their own good." he said completely feigning ignorance.
Tilladee looks gleeful at the idea of that many bandits. "A glorious battle then, it'll go something like this. I'll slice that one, then this one, and then maybe even that one." he said swinging the axe about haphazardly. He turned about and looked at the others and noticed some worry. "Don't yah worry none, I'll save a few bandits for you!" he said looks perhaps a bit gleeful and maniacial.
Tilladee slams the axe into one of the posts of the fort wall as the horses turn and run. He growls angrily and shakes his fist at the retreating bandits "<COWARDS, SWINE, YELLERBELLIED BEARDLESS CHILDREN!!! COME BACK AND FIGHT YOU BLOODY A#%*&$!#S!>" he says yelling in dwarven. He paces back and forth up top, yelling and cursing more profanity while the others speak. Finally after a few minutes of letting his blood boil over, he yanks the axe head free of the wood and jumps down in anger. "Bunch of cowards, honestly. Who ever heard of bandits afraid of an extra man or three in a building. Way I sees it, it would've been more gear and gold to steal if I looked at it from their side." he said grumbling. He looked at the others who seemed in deep discussion. "Alright, what we talking bout. I hope it's when I get to burry me axe is that mouthy coward's side." he said spitting on the ground as if even speaking of the man was an insult to his own mouth.
Tilladee looks at the others and looks up at the walls around the fort. He grins and scales up onto the second floor. He uses his unusually short body to sneak along the catwalk where he will prepare to draw his axe and drop down on the last bandit through the gate hopefully axe fully embedded in his spine.
Apologies, I am in the middle of a move, so I will be a couple of days before I'm able to post again. Again, apologies for the short notice. We closed on our house three weeks early.
Tilladee grunts when the lady of the fort comes up "Name's Tabernacky. And yea? I don't think we're reinforcements per say. We've got this here decree and all that saying we's to clean up these lands a bit and explore it all. Not sure what the end game of it is all, thought they explored it all centuries ago but I reckon any map needs updating." he said pulling out the charter and letting the woman read it.
Tilladee snorted as he made into the fort. "Aye, and I bet you'd feel better without the stench too" he said sticking his tongue out at her. "You don't get a glorious beard and mustache like this without sacrificing something! Tis a small price to pay for a masterpiece." he said, using a finger to twirl the mustache a bit. He looked around, his Dwarven Axe balanced across his shoulder. A single hand helping hold it in place. He scrunche his nose and cleared his throat before spitting a bit of tobacco out of his mouth. "It'll do me some good to get some proper nutrition. All these pinecones and berries is murder in the woods." he said giving his back a scratch.
I like the idea of using brackets, I haven't seen that before. I like it better than spoilers and using a foreign language.
I would agree that that is a more realistic setup in my opinion, I hate sometimes trying to make backstories for a first level character because almost any tale you can tell would put you at level two or three. But you also have to feel that at one point you had an NPC level and retrained it into a PC level. It's all very...confusing sometimes in how you should justify your character. While being a part of a group for a while would be nice because we can assume each other to be used to each other, on the other hand we as players have never played together and with just a small blurb to help personify our characters to each other, we can't just say we know each other or we'll run into "Why weren't you ok with this, my character would have done this at least a few times in over a year around you" kind of situation.
I mean how long we as a party have been together is actually more based on what the GM says. I always find a different interpretation of what this charter is and how you were chosen. Some say that you are individually chosen for you own unique skills and some say you apply as a party. If the GM says we apply as a party I am fine with having been around each other and working together for some time. That said, Tilladee is not from Brevoy but rather, pushed further and further away from the village he was born in due to his antics and overall un-Gnomish like behavior. So, he should not have any reason to have known you lot before hand by reason of lineage, ability, or schooling. He completely understand that safety is in numbers, he justs does not like the absolute must know everything about you prying that Gnomes are prone to doing in order to find common ground with each other. I see nothing wrong with "I was a loner" mentality. So long as the player plans to be working towards changing that within a reasonable timeframe. Within three months of working with a group, you'd either be willing to work with them and become less of a loner and more reliant or you'd go your separate ways...at least that's my interpretation of the Loner as a working player archetype.
I'm good with rushing through the initial meeting and enjoy a challenge vs a ROFL stomp that the average encounter can provide so Faster leveling sounds fun.
Welp, that appears to be working now. Anywho, I'm able to post generally daily. Sunday being the exception.
I'm good kinda either way. I'm completely ok with doing the work and also with it being more of a background role or even something between where we roleplay our parts and do the dice rolls required but otherwise leave it ambiguous.
Hmmm, tried dotting and paizo acted up on me. Let's see if it will let me post here. |
