“If the keep itself is invaded, Maxillar Pythareus makes his way to the roof and leaps down to the inner courtyard (area H18) to mount his horse, Honor, and rally the guards. Thanks to Honor’s horseshoes of the zephyr, the general can confront intruders on the ground, as listed in the encounter The Final Showdown (see page 54), or move to reinforce Dame Avenna and the siege engineers on the battlements.”

How does he leap from the top of a 3 story building? He just takes the falling damage???

How do the horseshoes allow honour to move up to the battlements? I guess it makes it easier for a horse to use stairs… though the stairs cases are specifically called out to be very steep in the description. What am I missing for this to make sense?

Abadar or pharasma, I would say.

Don't go evil for this AP unless your GM asks you to.

Ran the gala with the entire senate available. No additional rounds, but party of 5. Went great - the missions were enough to keep them focussed on the key NPCs, but I made them aware that the title of Senator maybe held longer-term repercussions (without making too much fo it).

They still went for the missions - they had a job to do (and gold to earn) and the additional time was spent talking to a few senators. only 2 were influenced - but having the other 10(?) there really added to a sense that they had endless choices - they "wasted" a couple of rounds talking to senators they decided not to pursue because they either didn't like or thought weren't worth their time.

Adding a ton of extra rounds to give them a chance to fully succeed would A) drag out the already 8-hour event, and B) allow them to feel like they can achieve everything, instead of being in a living, breathing world of politics where they can't talk to everyone.

Loving the adventure so far!
