He for one would stay in this base and ensure that it remains secure. Of course one could get the feeling that the half elf would rather not run the risk of meeting his family and that because someone else calls this forest home that might play a part in his decision making.

"Strange. Is there some other force in that town besides goblins?"

"I really wish you'll stop and listen to yourself. The only path? Seems to me that you would have gone on your own with or without us. Not even a word about it until it blindsides us. I can understand a part of it due to my own circumstances but this will be hard for the rest to take in. We have our own mission. I wish you luck in your quest. we still have Ethos's mission to be completed." Thorn bids the goliath farewell as he heads back to do clean up.

Joining the varisian cleric, Thorn calls out to him.
"Let me help in that."

Last goblin village then.

"Slay the dragon kin?" Thorn voices out.

"Weapon talking? Ring? Necklace? Demanding dragon heart, blood or something dragon?" he asks wryly. he remembered the weapons in the vault.

Thorn leaps into the portal after the two of them!

No way was he going to allow them to walk into danger without him offering to help.

Thorn glances at the portal. having much experience with portals he looks to his companions.

"Clear the area first before lunging in?" he asks

With Shield leading the way, Thorn's combat style is a mixed of a gladiator and shock trooper. leading with his shield to deliver a heavy blow to stun before using feints to sneak in crushing blows with his mace.
With his companion in trouble, the half elf shows no hesitation in aiming for crucial spots and joints!

Thorn double moves towards the site where the rest are.

The challenge dice is in case there are any goblins in his way. He'll just bull rush them out of the way.

With his side mostly clear, Thorn hears the battle cry and rushes in as well!

He reaches the site of the great battle and watches the explosion send Aurkan flying from its tremendous might.

I vote for ending this goblin camp chapter.

We got them boxed in and seeing how we have them in confusion as well, it's just waiting to see how much damage we deal to them and the surroundings as well.

Round 3?
Thorn continues holding the line, striking where needed at too eager a target rushing in.

I'm going to put this here. Seems like this whole thing came about by not understanding what actions were meant to be taken.

Round 1

Thorn hunkers down, ready to charge out at the first goblin he sees.

Ready action to charge, 1st goblin in range. Just not into the fire as well.

The Plan Which I thought would be to set fire so that the goblins will come out and we will bottle neck them at those points.

Thorn readies himself and his weapon before the exit for a clear charge at the first goblin in line of his exit.

Thorn eventually one of the goblins pass through your line of sight, you charge 20 feet and strike the goblin.

Here you had me apparently just break the plan and charge right in.

So apparently this whole thing is just me not making clear in my post.
My thoughts on reading that part of the post is on. I'm charging a goblin at the exit. I'm at a chokepoint now.

Going down it seems now that is not what happened.
So all the confusion now is on me.

I honestly don't know which map we are on. I looked through all of it and I can't match to any of them so I'm just going by written descriptions.

Round 3
In common, Taldane.

Looking up as the figures of Andrei and Aurkan joins him. Thorn turns his head to look at them as he sees Aurkan crash into the mass of goblins going into the village.

"Wasn't the plan for us to bottle neck at each of our respective points? Why are you and him here? What about your guarded area?"

Looking as he sees Aurkan take the heads off a trio of goblins.
"Once again, seems like the plan is rendered different again."

Round 2

Thorn is more then ready as a host of goblins and their ugly pets come towards him. With shield braced and Mace in hand, he lowers it slightly in preparation of smacking the next goblin to come close to him.

He didn't fail to notice the greasy tar materializing in front of him. He was going to use it to his full advantage.

Readied attack on closest foe.

The poor goblin is asleep and awakens to see a painful stare....poor thing.

Stealth 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Thorn has an easy time of it as he finds his side empty of any guards. The woods also seems to make way for him, covering him from hostile senses and he too sets up his wood, bringing out flint and steel to light the fire in an old fashioned way.

Once that's done, he slinks back into cover once more, ready for the ambush.

Not enough time? No biggie. I can go without the Mutagen then. thought we'd have encountered something earlier hence I used it.

Thorn nods as he passes what he collected to Lilianne.

Moving towards his designated spot, he waves to the others that he's off. Making sure that Aramyros is with him as he moves.

Thorn nods as he too looks for supplies. He also makes sure to use the time they had to concoct another mutagen...

Thorn considers the various numbers of way in and out.
Given time to remake his concoctions, he should be able to match another of the exits.

Despite imbibing his alchemical concoction, Thorn isn't able to prevent his movements from being heard or seen much.
He makes the best of it though he thinks on the Green Serpents tribe based on what information they already gathered prior to that.

Thorn's expression does not change as he ponders whether the weapons described might all be cursed and if they are inside that hidden cache or not.

He's worried about his vision about Aurkan. A warrior covered in blood and worse his seemly inability to keep to plans.

Thorn stretches as he observes the gathering.

He too remembered the last battle.

"If you cannot follow the orders, we might not be so lucky the next time. We'd rather you stay and recover as best as you can while defending this place."

My home country has initiated another restriction due to covid so things are starting to get chaffed up............

Thorn springs out of his own bedroll with a hand reaching out for his nearby bow. An arrow to its string, he rolls out only to see that the lovely Lilianne and Andrei in significantly less clothing rush out as well.

A streaking blaze of fire lights up the sky for a brief moment and the yelps seemed to indicate that the intruders have being scared off.
Assurance from the half elf that they'll be taking next watch and for him to get his rest and he complies.

The morning finds them having breakfast as Blaze regals them about their night encounter.

I'm facing another likely lockdown so..........yeah I'm still here.

Thorn nods. "I see. I was wondering about those weapons since there seems to be some similar weapons around that are cursed. Thank you."

Looking at the rest, he lets them all know.
"Best for folks to get to your rest. I'll keep watch for now and wake another when it's time."

Thorn overhears the speaking of companions and a thought strikes him to ask.

"Could you describe the weapons? Especially the axe...."

Thorn helps out where he can with his own basic knowledge in healing and aiding where his spells could do the most use.

Organizing the camp or triage took him some time but he ensures that everybody has enough clean water to drink and wash their wounds and cleaning up the place.

Most of all with his pack of cooking utensils, he puts himself to work coming out with enough meals for everyone, imploring Alia to aid him in getting enough food for all the wounded.

He leaves the goblin interrogation to those best suited for if finding it to close to his own situation at times. With so many newcomers, he keeps up his disguise as a fat man. Not knowing if one of them could be a sleeper in league with those who hunts him. No matter how far that theory is.

He wonders about the placement of the vault once he learns about it......

Thorn nods as he sets off to scrounge for such items.

"Blankets,pots or urns or something...." he mutters to himself in his native fey.........

Once back a the campsite, Thorn aids in getting the former prisoners settled down and remarks to Andrei.

"Do we have enough space to house all of them and treat their injuries?"

Thorn makes use of his strength and it shows as the Fat man begins gathering and placing pieces of wood to help control where the fire might spread.
