Theorn, humbled by the generosity of his companions, makes the transaction for the potion and wand. He feels somewhat uncomfortable going to a priest of the cudgel for the restoration, but rationalizes that on the verges of the wild one must be practical.

On returning to the group, "Thank you all for helping to cure me. I will be in your debt until the day I go to the sunlord."

"Did any of you catch what the elves are talking about, the Caves of the Unknown? I wonder where that is. We may want to check it out."

If we are going back to the hobgoblin caves, we might want to hire on some more muscle. They are well armed and armored, and they were using tactics we did not see from the goblins. Dropping thunderstones is not something dumb monsters will do."

Theorn inquires at the temple about the whereabouts of any priests of sufficient power to heal him.

He otherwise spends most of his days tending to the spiritual and medical needs of those in the keep.

Joining his companions on the third night back at the keep, he takes note of the new arrivals. "Blessings friends," he says to the newcomers, "What brings you to this wild corner of the world?"

Earlier at the tavern at breakfast in reply to Morgan: Healing magic can only do so much, Theorn says, his hand unconsciously going to his chest wound. I think the aches are the gods way of telling us not to get hit like that again.

Later at the merchant guild:

I will second Crom's claim. We had healed them slightly on recovering them, and the immediately armed themselves with the weapons taken from the hobgoblins we defeated. They did not hesitate, even in their weakened state, to put themselves into harms way to insure or safe escape. They were some of the valiant men I have met in my short career.

Theorn blushes as Morgan disrobes in front of him. He has seen the human form before, but most often purely in a healing capacity. The naked form crossing the room flusters him and he stands quickly and fumbles for the door. Pelor be blessed!, he says, not clear if in response to her thanks or her state of undress.

He seizes on Ozmund's invitation to breakfast and quickly leaves the room with the wizard.

As they make their way to the taproom, Theorn rubs his chest and can feel that something is not right with the wound he received. We have cheated death so often lately. I wonder at our sanity at times.

After eating with Ozmund, Theorn is going to find some time to visit the temple and talk to the priest about his condition.

I might be wrong, but the post above by DM tribute is a running tally. So we are not at 805 + 1129, we are just at 1129.

Theorn uses his last channel for the day on the group as they arrive at the keep

His fatigue from their flight from the hobgoblin caves makes his channel much less effective.

Once at the keep, Theorn gets a room for the wounded at the inn. After making sure they are stable, he retires to the common room for some sleep so he can recover his spells and channelings.

Theorn sees the bolts rip into Morgan and watches her fall. He fires off a channel in the hopes that it will revive her to the point that she can retreat.

I also assumed that the orc and gnoll picked up something from the other hobgoblins.

We are in a 10' wide passage with a normal height ceiling, enlarging may just concentrate the attacks on one person and block others from counterattacking.

Don't let those beasts through, they are minions of the dark that we cannot trust at our rear. They are enemies of Ulek and have earned their fate.

Feeling the effects of the last battle, Theorn knows he is no shape to stand in the front ranks. He stows his mace and leans his shield up against the wall to continue to receive the benefit of the light spell. He readies his crossbow and takes up a position near the jog in the tunnel, awaiting the enemy.

Keep the orc and gnoll between us and the enemy. I have no qualms about using them as a meat shield.

"Sounds like the reinforcements are coming," Theorn says in hushed tones. We should head back down the tunnel we came in from. We can set our defense in a constricted space to limit our exposure, and I can continue to heal from the rear to keep us standing.

Theorn shows the human captives which way to go and continues on behind them.

we should set our line at DS120-121. We can use the tightened space and the bend to maximize our room while constricting the enemies.

Theorn then moves toward the orc and gnoll. He starts a chant that is pure gibberish but sounds ominous. When done, he tells Morgan to tell the orc and the gnoll that he has laid a blood curse from the sun god on them and if they should ever try to harm any of us there manhood will wither and all that spring from their seed will waste away like a grape becomes a raisin.

He then checks his gear and adjusts his breastplate to sit easier on his wound and prepares to leave.

Theorn looks with suspicion at the orc and the gnoll. "I am of a mind to not let the two monsters go. I will not lift a hand to strike them while they are helpless, but I cannot bring myself to loose them back into the world. They can stay here and rot."

Once the initial excitement has died down, he regroups with the party and starts to work out the puzzle of how to split and sell the loot.

I did some calculations over the last couple days. If my math is correct we should have 1026 CP, 600 SP, 105 EP, 557 GP, and 2 PP. In addition we have the following equipment taken from the fallen:

12 crude small shortswords
12 crude shortbows
64 arrows
6 magic arrows +1,
potion of invisibility,
magic scroll with 2 cleric spells - cure light wounds (CL1), hold person (CL3).
small chainmail
small composite longbow (+1 str)
3 small longswords
3 small heavy wooden shields
a tapestry with silver and gold threads worth lots of gold!

Where do we start with this.

He examines the loot and generally glows in the thrill of surviving a combat.
