It just blows around, wears down stone, and covers things. Now magic, on the other hand...there's a wonder with which I can't imagine growing bored." As the room and new doors are scouted out, Theodore takes a moment to stop at the fountain and test the water, first by simply dipping his little finger in and observing any effects.

AC:12, T=12, FF=10 FORT +1, REF +2, WILL +3, INIT +2, PERC +1 Having an exploration checklist is generally a good idea; I think with the size of our party we just have extra heads beyond what's needed to cover the basics. It also wouldn't surprise me to hear Seamus has RL issues grabbing his attention, since it seems like all the DM's I've had on these boards were juggling their time already.

AC:12, T=12, FF=10 FORT +1, REF +2, WILL +3, INIT +2, PERC +1 "Unless they had another way in, then you're probably right and we just had superb--or superbly bad--timing. but yes, let's finish our sweep before we delve deeper. I would also suggest we spread out a bit and have scouts keep watch forward and back, lest we risk walking into a flank again." "By the way," Theodore muses, "I wonder if any of our unkindly hosts' possessions had any magic lingering about?" detectin' dat magic.

AC:12, T=12, FF=10 FORT +1, REF +2, WILL +3, INIT +2, PERC +1 Theodore is at once intrigued and horrified by the sea of spattered blood in the altar room, and upon entering, decides the smell and the unnatural tension that gnaws at him are not worth the risk when others seem better able to handle it. He backs up and lets the party in, grimacing as the goblin attempts to demonstrate the altar's power and is cut down. "Checking for useful items would be smart, I think. If this lot were down here for any length of time they're sure to have claimed a little corner of this place as their own."

AC:12, T=12, FF=10 FORT +1, REF +2, WILL +3, INIT +2, PERC +1 they're not the only ones, it seems. Saturday afternoon I'm fine, Saturday evening I'm a total wreck. sneezing, coughing, runny nose, watery eyes, short of breath, the works. Missed class on Monday because of it. Hanging in there, though, and I'll keep up as best I can.

AC:12, T=12, FF=10 FORT +1, REF +2, WILL +3, INIT +2, PERC +1 "Yes!" Theodore is visibly relieved and excited to have a look at the altar, and hurries over to the door behind the little eidolon and the hulking warrior, shutting his eyes a moment and opening them to the magic of his surroundings. A desecrated altar...seems most likely. can't imagine any evil gods setting up shop right under the nose of someone like this moon goddess...not without resistance, anyway. Especially someone like a feral deity...just seems a little too cunning, even on the surface. Keeping detect magic up unless tracking rounds suddenly becomes important, like for combat.

AC:12, T=12, FF=10 FORT +1, REF +2, WILL +3, INIT +2, PERC +1 Theodore scrunches his nose at the descriptions of the strange deity; his mind scrambles for a reason to see the altar and examine its magic. "I think we should at least see this altar for ourselves. I'm not sure about the idea of dealing with an evil god of beasts or the like, but maybe there's some knowledge there, some tomes or scrolls--something that might make the trip worthwhile." "what say you, little one? Anything else in that room besides a stone slab?"

AC:12, T=12, FF=10 FORT +1, REF +2, WILL +3, INIT +2, PERC +1 Seeing their foes drop, Theodore pumps his fist in victory, but the battle cries of the new arrivals startle him back into focus. The length of hallway between them and the position of his fellows just makes him smirk after a moment's thought, and he slides his palms apart once again, spilling the magical liquid on the floor in front of his new defensive line. "Stay put, fellows, and watch the comedy ensue." Cast grease on N-4 to O-5. 1 1st level spell remaining. Bring it on. Also, HOLY #&$^ those rolls, man.

AC:12, T=12, FF=10 FORT +1, REF +2, WILL +3, INIT +2, PERC +1 Goin' culinary associates here. First quarter almost bored me to tears because I was registered too late to get into any actual kitchen activity. This quarter on the other hand...time for some fun.

AC:12, T=12, FF=10 FORT +1, REF +2, WILL +3, INIT +2, PERC +1 Surveying the mayhem for a bit, Theodore can't help but chuckle as the brute's feet betray him and leave him splayed out across the floor. The presumed leader's entry into the fray is cause for concern, and so he decides to give the big ugly something to think about. Aiming down his index finger like the sights of a crossbow, he struggles to get a clear shot amidst the movement, and fires a pale blue beam of frost, hoping his aim is true (or lucky.) move to R-5, use ray of frost targeting the guy in the back of the pack, touch attack: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 2 = 10 cold damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2.

AC:12, T=12, FF=10 FORT +1, REF +2, WILL +3, INIT +2, PERC +1 Too caught up in the scenery of the new hall, Theodore fails to find a spot in the introductory conversation before weapons are drawn, instead sliding one palm off the other and speaking an arcane phrase; the floor underneath the aggressive strangers quickly grows slippery with dark liquid. 10 ft. square of U-2 to V-3 (I hope I'm reading the grid right, seems the letters didn't want to space evenly) is now greased. Reflex save DC15 or fall prone, and DC10 acrobatics to move at half speed through the area. Also, say "the floor quickly grows slippery" out loud ten times fast. Harder than it looks. 1st level spells: 2 remaining today.

AC:12, T=12, FF=10 FORT +1, REF +2, WILL +3, INIT +2, PERC +1 Holy crap, 36 posts in one day. Take a breath, people! Wait for me! Theodore gazes wide-eyed at the detailed architecture in the new room, watching his colleagues closely as they examine their options. He grins ear to ear as the sconce is tugged and the door swings open. "Well, the old stories were written for a reason, weren't they? How classic. Next up, the swiveling bookcase, the trap door, and the false wall. I can't wait to see what magics hold this place secure!" As if a bell has gone off in his head, Theodore's eyes pop with realization for a moment. Of course! Why did I forget that? Holding two fingers to his forehead, he closes his eyes for a moment, and as they open, they glow with an azure light for a moment as he attunes himself to the magical auras in the area. Cast detect magic. renew as needed unless circumstances change.

AC:12, T=12, FF=10 FORT +1, REF +2, WILL +3, INIT +2, PERC +1 As the party descends into the pit, Theodore inhales deeply, ignoring any of the dankness that may come from dungeon corridors, instead smelling the scents of magic, of the unknown, and of adventure itself. Or dust. Apparently, adventure smelled like dust. Oh well. I'm sure it's not all stone corridors. Even the dullest architect is bound to crave some variety once in awhile, especially in a place purported to be as large as I've heard. He listens with interest as the summoner's eidolon scouts the rooms; the descriptions leave him almost giddy with anticipation. He casts a light spell on the multi-limbed warrior's sword almost without looking, intensely pondering their choices. His thought train is only broken at the mention of a secret passageway. "Secret passageway? Those are always the best place to be! It wouldn't be secret without a purpose. It's either a shortcut to somewhere important or hides something valuable; let's have a look there first! If it's nothing too exciting, then I'd like to examine that moon painting and the pillars. Big doors have to be worth building, which means they're worth opening." STATUS:
