When I ran it, I had a party of four play it. Here was their loadout: Elven Necromancer 12 (What couldn't this character do?)
This group absolutely dominated. Combat was practically meaningless to them, as they had a nigh-unbeatable combination of buffing, debuffing, save or suck spells and pure damage in numbers for monsters of any type. What truly impressed me, however, was the excellence of their roleplay. Truly, that is what matters. We actually managed to do the first part in 6 hours, which is amazing. Other than that, pretty much went as expected.
Congrats, Netopalis! Your gamemastering style has been refreshing and exciting to say the least. If the only thing I can lay claim to accomplishing is inspiring you to stick with PFS, then I will have done my job as a VC and a gamer. Thank you for all the wonderful games, the hours put in, the dedication and the constant motivation. I raise a toast to the next 100 games you run. MAY YOU LIVE A THOUSAND YEARS!
We are upon the precipice of greatness here in the New River Valley! Our games have been steadily growing and our player-base has solidified. But for further growth to happen, I must hand over organizational duties at my main store to someone who can handle leading from the front, a people person who ultimately stepped up to the job... So help me in welcoming Southwestern Virginia's newest Venture-Lieutenant, Richard Burgess!
If you are going to be in the Roanoke area this coming weekend, you owe it to yourself to come on down and play some Pathfinder Society with us! I am heading up the operation, with the help of Venture Captain Paul Ree, Venture Captain Matt Smith, and Venture Lieutenant Jeremy Hitchcock. The area we are going to be running games in is new and raw, so we will have a ton of tier 1-5 games as well as a handful of 3-7 and 5-9 scenarios for our more experienced PFS gamers. Sign-ups for the individual tables will be on-site, there is no pre-reg for PFS tables! Hope to see you there!
Hey there, Atheral! I'm the main guy running things at Mysticon and I'm here to tell you proudly that the grand majority of our games scheduled (12 out of 16 scheduled games) will be either Tier 1-5, Tier 1-7, or a running of We Be Goblins! I scheduled my games with people such as you and your friends in mind. PFS is so raw and fresh and new in my part of Virginia that I wanted to promote it in the best way possible. Rest assured my friend, there will be games for you and you friends to attend.
Hello my fellow Pathfinders, I need a ruling on something that's been vexing me as well as one of my more experienced players. The wording regarding Charging in combat is vague and not very descriptive. When it comes to how one is able to move in a given charge, is it only like the way a rook/bishop would be able to do in Chess? Or does the 'charging line' work more like a line spell, where the effected squares have to be connected but can still be called a line?
