Would it turn off Slumber hex? Hexes aren't spells. Messa asked me to post on her behalf: Since Rinaldo is asleep but Colwyn is not, she will command Colwyn to come back to her, then will wake Rinaldo up when he gets there (unless he doesn't for some reason). Rinaldo is in a military saddle, so would not have fallen out when he fell asleep, though he would have dropped his lance.

Rinaldo is my very first PFS character, and started out as a Cavalier, then moved into Bard. I ended up going more heavily into Bard than I originally intended, so he isn't terribly optimized. He stopped being highly effective in melee several levels back, but with his Aid Another bonuses, he generally does great support. We just don't have another strong melee character in this party for me to back up, so I'm attacking more, even if it doesn't do much damage.

He places the small statue of a dog on the ground and says the word to recover his canine companion, the orders Colwyn to guard the stairs while the party makes it through. At this point is it just a matter of time for everyone to roll high enough? Is there a way to assist them?

Dimensional Steps is more like Dimension Door. No mishap chance, but in this case has limited total distance per day.

GM: Do I not threaten the Gigas? I should have gotten an AoO as well. Also, don't forget Rinaldo has Disruptive and Spellbreaker, so the DC to cast defensively is 4 higher and if they fail I get an AoO even though they cast defensively. Oh, and both Tuwo and Rinaldo are under the effects of Discordant Voice as well, so they get 1d6 sonic damage on each hit. AoO if I get one:

Is Death Ward still up from the shadow fight? "Alright, I can use a scroll to let me carry Colwyn, and then we all try to step through and see who makes it. Whoever assesses what's on the other side and returns as soon as possible to make further plans?" If this plan sounds good, I'll cast Carry Companion on Colwyn, and hold him in my buckler hand with sword in the other, then try to step through, preferably with other people trying at the same time. Three CHA checks, I won't look: Using Rinaldo's base CHA of +5 and +2 for Good Hope. I don't think anything else applies.
