"Good on you, Dale!" Tenna grimly cheered.

She had kept her aim and her eyes on the last remaining guard as he tried to parlay. She didn't trust him one bit, and was tempted to put an arrow in his knee out of spite for what he and his friends did to Willy.

It wasn't until Bogo yelled for her to check on the lumberjack that she snapped out of it.

"Y-yeah!" She kept her eyes on the guard as she crouched over Willy and fished the healing packets out of her pouch again. "W-wait. Is it safe to use 'em again so soon!"

I guess the heal check will depend on whether we can level right this moment or not. I should have taken Heal a long time ago. :)

Tenna glared at both the guard and the goblin as she brought her bow back up. Things were getting too close and they needed to remove at least one of the threats to her wounded friends. She quickly settled for the one she had wounded already.

Tenna's jaw was clenched when she saw the goblin preparing to throw a spell their way, and tried to steel herself.

I can't see the map where I'm at right now, but I'll change my aim to the guard closest to Willy. Protecting him is my main goal now. :)

"Willy!" Tenna screamed in horror as the big man went down. She had nearly turned to go after Herve, but now that things had suddenly shifted...

She grimaced and took aim at the man who felled the lumberjack, loosing one arrow and quickly following with another. "Bastard! You'll pay for that!"

"Wha-?" Tenna caught the guard's words. They have more of these bracers?! "It's mine now!" she couldn't help but taunt them as she quickly loosed two more arrows at the crossbowman before turning on her heels. Herve sounded like he needed help.

"Watch out Bogo, Willy! There's a little kid in there fightin' 'em too!"

Tenna took aim on the crossbow-weilding guard again, letting loose her arrow before yelling, "Hey, Herve was shoutin' somethin'!" She was leaning back on her feet ever so slightly, ready to turn and run the way they came to assist the aristocrat.

"Damn!" Tenna cursed her poor aim, and cursed again when she realized that her stock of arrows was getting lower even faster because of it. She took a more careful aim at the guard she had targetted before, trying not to flinch when she saw the crossbow bolt meant for her let loose.

I had to re-roll because I put the numbers in wrong. I knew a 25 to hit was too good to be true...

Tenna took aim over Bogorin's head at the guard just to his side before letting two arrows fly in rapid succession.

"Who's fightin' back there?!" she asked no one in particular amidst the din of battle.

Tenna yelled back down the tunnel, "HERVE! WE HAVE TROUBLE!" She remained standing where she was, unable to move past Willy and Bogo, and tried to take aim with her bow at the second closest guard(G1 on the map). It was a tricky shot, but she had to try.

Thanks Hopeless! Tenna and Willy should both be behind Bogorin now.

Tenna's spirits rose when she started to make out the voices. She certainly hoped Dale was really in there, for Bogo's sake. She slowly reached for the lever to pull it back and let the others in.

Unless someone yells for her not to, she'll activate the lever.

Oops, sorry! Please consider Tenna and Willy's heads to still be fuzzy from the electricity!(at least that's my excuse!)

Tenna shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts as she saw Bogorin continuing onward. "Four of 'em at least, whoever they are..." she said to Willy as she ran after Bogorin, keeping an arrow drawn. If she was so shaken up by the shock that she had forgotten about the screaming, there was no telling what else they could be missing. She felt a mounting apprehension as she tried to catch up with the dwarf.

She called back to Angus, "Keep close to Mister Herve! I'll tend to ya when I can!"

I can't access the map from where I'm at now, but I'll run as far as I can to try and get to the square right behind Bogo.

Hopeless, what are the squares of the lab and where would we be standing now? Unless I misunderstood something?

I get it now. The L-shaped block is the workbench and the square block is the table.

Healing on Willy: 5

Tenna carefully applied the medicine over some of Willy's more obvious wounds, but it didn't seem like quite enough. "Willy, does that feel better? Ya think you need more?"

She'll use another dose if he needs it, otherwise:

Tenna noticed the pegs with the cloaks and slowly approached them. She looked through them to see if there was anything of value or note among them, but mostly to count them. Might get an idea of how many people we're dealin' with here...

Moving to F3

Perception: 25

Tenna will be standing next to Willy, whereever he is now.

Tenna cursed and yelped as she hopped out of the corridor with the wires. "What was that!?" she managed as she made it out, her hair standing on end where her hood wasn't holding it down. Gods, it was like lightning in there? Is that what it feels like to get hit by it?!

Seeing how badly Willy was hurting, she quickly fished around in her pouch for one of the wallet of healing packets they had been given. "Willy, lemme help ya there."

How much do they heal again?

"Bogo, wait!"

"Gods!" Tenna exclaimed at Herve's warning. "This just keeps gettin' better... Bogo, watch out."

She carefully continued forward towards the noise, an arrow now ready in her bow.

Perception:21

Tenna's eyes widened. She wasn't sure what sort of traps could be set down here, but she imagined the sort that some hunters used back in the woods. She remembered the fall after she had to cut herself out of an overly strong rabbit trap she had accidentally stepped into.

"Hey, Willy, Mr. Esterel, Mr. Angus! Watch out for those wires! We don't know what they do..." she whispered back to the others. She then carefully picked her way through them behind Bogorin.

Tenna stepped forward a couple of feet, looking about the corridor. "Awfully bright in here compared to th'rest of the place..." she whispered.

Perception: 11

"Oh..." Tenna shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. Her nerves were clearly getting the best of her. She followed Bogorin on the ladder, taking care with the rungs he had pointed out.

"Right!" Tenna called back. She turned to the others. "We gotta keep ever'one in the light that can't see, so someone else should go before me an' I'll go right behind. Then everyone else can follow th'light."

A problem with her logic then reared its head. Old Carter wasn't likely to be making it up or down any ladders in his condition. "Damn...Talden, Brallin, can you keep an eye on Carter, t'keep 'im safe?"

Tenna will follow on the ladder as soon as she can.

"Gotcha, Bogo!" Tenna held her bow by one end, holding it as close to Bogorin as she could. "Everythin' okay?"

Tenna will follow as soon as the all-clear is given.

"Hey! Does that mean anythin' to anyone?" Tenna asked, pointing at the lines. It seemed to simple to her to be a symbol of anything.

"Gods..." Tenna was feeling paranoid now. So it can look like people too... She suddenly found herself looking over her shoulder.

"I guess I better stay in the middle since I've got the light. Bogo, you can see fine up front?"

"She?" Tenna asked in absolute confusion, looking back and forth between the occupied Bogorin and the ailing Carter.

Tenna will be bringing more light Bogo's way as quickly as she can too.

"Whew! Thanks, Willy." Tenna said, relieved that she hadn't been left alone in the corridor. She may have complained about his unintended cave-in, but she certainly felt better having him nearby.

She cut the arrow free with a disgusted grunt, wiping her knife and the arrow as clean as she could on the ogre's rags. "Might be needin' this again real soon. Better get after them, huh?" she said, beginning to break into a run back after the others, holding her glowing bow out so Willy could see.

"Ugh..."

Tenna took a deep breath and pushed the ogre's corpse as hard as she could to get at the arrow.

Straining with the weight, she gasped out, "A....little help....here?"

Meant to remind you before Tenna but the mention of another Ogre brought it back to mind...I think Hopeless was trying to clue us in earlier that the Ogre-Bane arrow might still re-usable? Just a guess : )

Ah, right. :) I kept meaning to get around to it, but things never seemed to slow down.

Tenna's face was still twisting with disbelief when she realized something.

Placing her bow back over her shoulder and pulling out her dagger, she turned back the way they came. "I gotta get somethin' real quick. Keep goin'!"

When she got back to where the ogre's body lay, she sighed and went to work on extracting the arrow.

"W-WHAT?!" Tenna balked at Old Carter's statement about the ogre they killed not being the one he expected. She actually stopped in her tracks for a second before hurrying along to catch up. "You mean the one we were after is worse! He had a damn lightnin'...spear...thing on 'im!!" Gods, if he had thrown that thing at us...and if the other is supposed to be worse....

At the mention of what was likely intended with the captives, she gave a worried look to Bogorin, and picked up her pace. "I don't really know much more about it. Th'thing attacked us when we first came into this place. I just remember Mr. Herve rushin' the thing when it was behind me, and a godsawful smell. It looked like an imp, but it wasn't. Didn't look like the tales said anyway. I tried to shoot it down, but it just kind of...folded up on itself and disappeared..." Her face twisted in disbelief several times as she spoke. She wasn't used to relating these kinds of things to people.

Tenna's going to try and keep pace with Bogorin. He's got her more than a little worried.

Tenna stared at the bracer she held. "What's so healthy about it?"

At Angus' further questioning, she remembered the details of the earlier fight more vividly. "Yeah, a quast, er qausit! Somethin' like that!"

"There is that better?" he asks her.
"Anyway what was that about an imp?" he asks.

Much of the talk about the cyphermages went over her head - What's so important about a gate? - but Tenna got the gist of it.

She eyed her bow suspiciously, as if it could have been cursed. "Uh...yeah..sir...thanks... Um, there was an imp outside that tried to attack us, but it wasn't really an imp. Not sure what it was, really. It ran off earlier."

Thinking about the earlier events reminded her of something else. She pulled out the bracer she had picked up earlier. "And I found this. It came off the collar on that big ol' wolf." She presented it half-heartedly to Bogorin. She didn't want to delay him in his search for Dale.

"What's a cyphermage?" Tenna quietly asked Herve and Talden, not wanting to distract either Bogorin or Angus from their conversation.

At the mention of the "other creature", she spoke up. "Ya mean that imp thing that wasn't really an imp?"

"Anyone wanna hold onto th'torch?" she asked in general, motioning towards the bow slung over her shoulder.

"Erastil's sake, Willy..." Tenna muttered as she picked herself back up from the ground.

"Should we be talkin'? If Dale wasn't in this part of the lair, she must be in the other, with that..." she trailed off a bit too late.

She lit a torch, just in case their other light faltered.

Sorry for posting out of turn, I wasn't sure when I would be able to get back today and didn't want to hold everyone up.

Hopeless:

The sight of the unholy beast quickened Tenna's reflexes at the very least. "Kill it!!" She quickly let loose two arrows, one after the other.

Tenna skidded to halt at the sight of the ghoul. "Gods! What is that?!" she shouted as she let loose an arrow purely on frightened reflex.

If Perception : 14 is good enough to hear the fighting:

"He's in trouble! C'mon!" Tenna rushed out of the room, forgetting the strange passageway Bogo had discovered and nocking an arrow on the run.

If not:

"I'll go get 'im." She walked out, heading towards the area Herve had been searching.

"Huh..." Tenna stared dumbfounded at Bogo's discovery. "I didn't think ogres were smart enough for this sorta thing." Looking around for the others, she asked Talden and Bogo, "We need to be stickin' tighter to each other huh? Where's Mr. Esterel?"

"Gods..." Tenna stared dumbfounded at the coins. She had never seen so much money before. All the money she had seen throughout her entire life wouldn't add up to that amount. She was relieved her unvoiced fears had not come to pass, but she had difficulty tearing herself away from the chest.

Seeing Talden already searching over the room, Tenna ran back out into the corridor to find Bogorin and the others. "Th'ogre's 'room' is back there. We didn't find any sign o'the townsfolk, just money. Talden is turning the place over to try and find any clues to where they might be."

"Thanks." Tenna said with a faint, shy smile that quickly faded when she remembered why she wanted to search the chest to begin with. She gave Talden a worried look, quietly saying, "Need t'check it quick. Before Bogo comes. There's no tellin' what's in here...and you know ogres..." To Tenna, those terrifying fireside tales about ogrekind were as good as fact.

She picked up the key and apprehensively turned it in the lock.

If it fits:

She looked back at Talden again, steeling herself, and opened the lid.

"Hey, Talden. See that?" Tenna pointed at the chest as she walked around it. Bracing her leg against the wall, she pulled with both of her wiry arms. Stupid ogre...having to do something like that...

While she was curious about what lay inside, she truly wanted to be certain it wasn't going to be something that would upset Bogo. Her imagination had had plenty of time to produce any number of chilling possibilities.

Can't reach Invisible Castle at the moment. Had to use Bluemind Roller.

STR Check: 13

Bit of backtracking, but:

Tenna could not help but blush from Talden's hug and boastful compliment. "Ah...I didn't do nothin' th'rest of you couldn't." she said with a shy smile.

"No." Tenna called back. "Not in here!" She continued her search, trying not to let her imagination run away concerning the chest's contents.

Tenna sighed with relief, if only for the moment. At least there were no corpses visible. She carefully walked about the cavern, looking for a key.
