Liberty's Edge

It seems like the +14 headband is encroaching on artifact territory.

Liberty's Edge

Make them roll for it. Depending on the world percentage of nonhuman races, make them roll a d100.

(Edit: role isn't roll)

Liberty's Edge

I don't know if you are familiar with Kronos Quartet or Clint Mansell, but I tend to use them for atmosphere.

Except for the fact you are doing more actions in the allotted 6 second period. Moving your speed in a turn takes the same time as it does to move twice your speed. The only difference is that you're doing move in the double speed than you would in the single move. You'd have more time to focus on the weapon drawing with the regular speed.

I used to roll secretly for each PC at the beginning and after any major events in dungeons. I'd keep that roll for perception checks just to keep the game rolling. No fair to let the PC's know how well they are perceiving things.

I found a trailer for this. It does look pretty vile, but the soundtrack is kickin'.

Hey! Wait a second!

2 people marked this as a favorite.

I don't know about anyone else, but I rather enjoy having an ability or two that are just horrendous. It also makes character creation a bit more interesting. But that is my two cents.

Kajehase, this link has the set symbols for the D&D sets up to Demonweb. You can compare them to the bottom of your minis, where you can also find the rarity and number within the set.

Oh jeez, I thought Keith was about 20 years old. I guess I was off.

@ Hazzard
I live about 3 blocks away from there. If you don't mind an extra player, I'd be more than happy to join up.

Liberty's Edge

I may be mistaken, but I remember reading that if you knew a creature's name, you could summon that specific being. It may have been some sort of demon summoning spells, like gate. If you are at a home game, you can try to convince the creature that you are its god that you require it to be ready for battle all the time. It may require DM approval, but I'd allow it in my games.

One of our next big projects is a revision of Third Dawn and making it pfrpg compatible. One of the big things being discussed is getting some maps made.

That sounds purty.

Liberty's Edge

I'm also interested, if there is space.

So long, last week's pay. Hello every Adventure Path from 10 to 24.

They are creatures capable of attacking and have hp. Add it in.

FYI, there is a typo in the title.

Do you mean the word "were"? If so, that was intentional. It is a play on the were in werewolf, wererat, wereboar, etc.

Ah. I didn't catch that. oops

Hopefully moonlight for linux will be able to run the online DDI

I wish they'd release more of the same type of hero books at this price.

I would recommend a NWoD basic game. Keep it in a modern day setting and just do something like a spy adventure, if they have zero experience it will be a lot easier for them to imagine being James Bond, than it would being Conan. Plus the system is very simple math wise.

+1

I'm planning to toss in a Paladin adversary somewhat soon. My PC's, admittedly accidentally, burnt down most of a town in an inferno, and in my previous campaign, I devoted 2 to 3 months of games involving time-travel, hidden temples, and seafaring only to have the final villain turn out to be an illegitimate son of one of PC's who bedded every woman in sight. Just have fun with it, and incorporate something equally ridiculous.

I have brought a case to Ebay about a similar event. I was refunded my money about 10 days later.

I like the art in the 3.5 books more than the PF books. Don't get me wrong, I think most of the stuff is good, but something about the 3.x books evoke a more vivid fantasy realm (and the drawings at the beginning of each chapter were neat).

Liberty's Edge

I must admit I am a 4e lover (as my credibility goes down). I just saw what was said on TheSpoonyExperiment.com, and it made me a bit excited in this. I have tons of people I want to get into gaming, and something basic and simplified just may be the thing.

Dungeons and Dragons isn't a game of relativistic philosophy, but one of a more objective view point. Things are the way they are because it is the way they are. Having zombies go about destroy crops and towns is always a bad thing. Raising dead creatures by desecrating the remains with negative energies also is an evil act. Having the dead come back to life with the soul's permission is neither.

By giving evil more leeway by naming it neutral diminishes the power of good. Dichotomy is essential is classic Tolkien-esque fantasy, a major source of inspiration for DnD.

Of course there are other worlds like Eberron where things are a bit more ambiguous, but normally, philosophy of DnD is stagnant and objective.

Liberty's Edge

You can't forget the barbarians ala Mad Max.

Funny, I just left the bathroom, thinking that it was time to buy a new soap. Of course, with me living one continent and one ocean away, it's probably just as well that I've never gotten round to getting a credit card - I'd be smelling worse than Valeros jockstrap by the time my Cure Light Wounds or Sexterity soaps arrived.

That is a funk I could have lived without imagining.

Um... spell resistance could be supress... but I'm pretty sure an undead could never turn off it's immunity to mind affecting spells, critical hits, or anything else for that matter.

I believe you are correct. My mistake. I got my terminology confused.

Liberty's Edge

I know in 3.5 immunities could be turned off for the sake of benefit. I can't find it in the PF rulebook at the moment.

27) Secret failed knowledge check on how much explosive to buy to create a minor, itty-bitty explosion...

Half the town burnt down.

28) Weave together a time travel story where the villain is a child of one of the PC's random dwarven seductions.

Liberty's Edge

If there is an extra spot, I'd like to have one if possible.

Liberty's Edge

Ask your DM. I'd allow it in my games, but I am usually rather lenient when it comes to the games I run. Your DM should be able to say yes or no on the spot. It is his/her game world.

Liberty's Edge

I'm leaving hints as subtle as an earthquake for my girlfriend to get this for me for the holidays. I've wanted it ever since I stumbled upon it on the Green Ronin site a few months back.

Liberty's Edge

It is all part of the human adaptability that humans can breed with most humanoid species. Humans both biologically (I hate using science terms in fantasy) and sociologically are quite adaptable according to 3.5 rules (I don't remember if PF has the same description or not). It is why you have elves nearly always living in forests, orcs living carnivorously in huts, dwarves living in mountains, and the drow underground. Humans usually can be found in each of those settlements, but not to many non-human species willingly living in another's domain. It carries onto the humans biological adaptation.

Liberty's Edge

You don't get anything other than 15 minutes of bliss. Otherwise there would have been Orc-elves running about already.

Liberty's Edge

I thought I'd be original and funny by saying a Snakes on a Plane joke. Silly me.

Question the first:

I was wondering if anything was slightly backordered that holding shipment 1471661 from being sent out. Not that I would want anything to be placed in the sidecart, but I would just like an idea of when it will be shipping.

Question the second:

Unfortunately due to school requiring tuition and being a minimum wage bloke, I will need to cancel all of my subscriptions after 1471661 ships out. Hopefully I'll be able to start it up again, but for now, it is an expense I need to cut.

Thanks Cosmo (It'll probably be Cos to answers this one.)

Liberty's Edge

I'm doing a Forgotten Realms campaign now, slowing tying it to a previous heavily "Lost-inspired" Eberron campaign. In fact, the PC's are about to run into one of their old characters, who is now a power hungry Red wizard house Cannith heir.

Liberty's Edge

I was wondering what just happened. I finally looked at dates and realized everything.

Liberty's Edge

I'd like to cancel my map subscription if it is possible.
