Set Sale for Holiday Savings!

Paizo's own Black Friday sale spans Thursday through Monday!

Last year saw the launch of Paizo's own brand of Black Friday sale madness. And this year, we're cranking it up with the widest selection of discounted products we've ever put on sale. And we've expanded the sale to start at midnight on Thanksgiving morning and run through Cyber Monday. So what's in this sale, you ask? A lot more than I can tell you about in this space, so you should definitely browse through the products for yourself... but to pique your interest, here are just a few of the things you'll find.

Of course, a paizo.com sale wouldn't be complete if we didn't include some of our own products. Almost all of our remaining 3.5 products are included in the sale, along with select GameMastery Item Cards, Map Packs and Flip-Mats of similar vintage. We're also introducing Paizo Super Bundles, which let you get a bunch of related products at super savings. Curse of the Crimson Throne, Second Darkness and Legacy of Fire each have their own Super Bundles that include not only the full six-volume Pathfinder Adventure Path but also the related Campaign Setting, Player Companion, Item Card and GameMastery Map products released to support those APs. We've also made Super Bundles for themed sets of our 3.5 Pathfinder Modules and our older Planet Stories books. Individual bundle items are also on sale separately, but if you go in for the full bundle, you'll save more—sometimes a lot more!

Also, many items that were already on sale have been cut even further to give you the best values we can offer. Products from Goodman Games, Green Ronin, Mongoose Publishing, Rackham, Fantasy Flight and others have all been cut down to their bare bones. We've also placed many of Dragon and Dungeon magazines on sale for half off—or more! And back issues of Star Wars Insider, Star Wars Gamer, Undefeated and Amazing Stories are just 99 cents for this weekend only!

Do yourself a favor and check out the sale! Some of these items are in limited supply, so don't wait too long—and happy Thanksgiving!

That's an awesome sale! 3 more APs. ^^;

The super bundle link in the message doesn't seem to work:
http://paizo6.paizopublishing.com/store/sale/blackFriday/byDiscount/superBu ndles

but following the sale link to super bundles does:
http://paizo.com/store/sale/blackFriday/byDiscount/superBundles

Same with the other links that go to paizo6.paizopublishing.com. ^^

Sorry about the links, I'll fix them first thing in the morning.

Damned overseas shipping rates.
Oh well, an overall 73% discount on the products I've purchased sounds good nonetheless. ;-)

Yeah, that CotCT bundle is now on its way to my house. I'm stoked...

Babylon 5 megasale!

I could really kiss you guys for that, but I'll refrain.

I just bought that Darklands flip mat! *shakes fist* ;)

I just added a large number (about 20) of items to my cart, and seven of the items (modules and Planet Story books) did not get added with the discount listed on your pages - the original price was used for the items added to my cart.

I have taken the items that didn't have the advertised sales price out of my cart, and am seriously considering canceling my entire order.

I am sure it is just a glitch and if you post is costumer support or email they will fix it asap. Keep in mind today is a holiday in the US.

I fixed the links in the blog. I will see if I can figure out what's going on with discounts.

Yes, I understand it is a holiday - not only do I live in the US, but the blog post made it clear that this sale is tied to the Thanksgiving holiday and the sale days normally associated with Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I posted so that the powers that be can fix it when they have time, so that other people don't get disappointed by the same issue and possibly decide not to make a purchase at all.

And this is the case, since Gary Teter is looking into it - thank you Gary! I had no doubt that you or someone else at Paizo would look into it, as long as someone took the time to post about the issue.

Since the sale lasts until Monday, if it can get fixed sometime before then, that would be great.

I have gotten over my initial disappointment that I had when I made my first post, so I will order what I can, but if the links are fixed while the sale is still on then I will add to my order and spend more money.

In any event, thanks to all of the Paizo people for making products so good that I was disappointed not to spend more money on them. :^)

OK, I've figured out what the problem is with discounts not showing. This may take me some time to fix -- for now I think that if you click the "proceed to checkout" button from the shopping cart page the site should properly apply the missing discounts. I'll post again when I've fixed it. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Cool, I'll try again later today. If not, the sale lasts until Monday.

Thanks again for looking into this, you are going above and beyond the call of duty on a holiday, especially one that usually has families getting together to celebrate it.

OK, this bug should be fixed now.

Gary,

I went ahead and added back the products that weren't showing a discount. When I went to the Shopping Cart page and clicked on the "Proceed to Checkout" button, the discounts did get applied - I saw a page showing that the prices had changed to the discounted prices, and the Shopping Cart list displayed in the upper right hand corner of the page showed discounted prices for everything.

Then when I went back through the Shipping Cart -> Proceed to Checkout -> Select Payment Method process, the discounted prices were correctly displayed for everything.

Thanks to you (and anyone else) who helped with this!

Really glad to hear that this is working properly for you. I just checked and discovered that no orders submitted during the time this bug was in effect for this sale were affected, which makes me happy since that means I can go home now. :)

Have a happy thanksgiving!,,

Although announced as part of the Thanksgiving sale, I notice that Paizo wrote "we're introducing Paizo Super Bundles". If they're "introducing" them, that suggests they may be planning to have them around longer than just Thanksgiving.

So long, last week's pay. Hello every Adventure Path from 10 to 24.

I don't know what our long-term plans are regarding super bundles, but I do know that these are scheduled to disappear from the store Monday at 11:59 pm Pacific time. So if it looks like something you want, you should take advantage of the opportunity now.

@ Dark_Mistress: +1

I promised myself to save some $$$ this month (Holidays and things) and now look at what you did, Paizo!!!

MONSTER order!

Picking up hardcovers for $3 is ... just awesome. Gotta love it.

And I thought last year's Second Darkness bundle was good (and it was).

I wasn't planning on going aaaall the way back to pick up CotCT, but, well, here we are.

Dumb question, if the sale lasts until Monday, when does it end? Monday morning, midnight on Monday, or what? I'd really love to get some of this stuff, but it'll take me until then to have the money for it.

Paizo Employee Senior Software Developer

The sale ends at 11:59 pm Pacific time, Monday. But I wouldn't wait until the very last minute, just in case there are server problems or power outages or whatnot. Also, stock on some items may run out.

Thanks, but unfortunately I've got very little choice other than to wait until Monday.

Gary, I just wanted to say thank you. I work in IT, so I know how much it sucks to support things on Thanksgiving and Black Friday. We all appreciate what you do! And I hope that you had time for some turkey (or whatever you prefer) in-between. :-)

You guys are killin' me. And to think once upon a time I thought "I don't need to have all the Planet Stories books". Can't... resist... Planet Stories... bundles...

I am definitely going to need to transfer my consciousness to a robot body so I can get around to reading all the stuff Paizo entices me to buy.

Hmm, well, if nothing else the Super Bundles have let me easily consolidate my Wish List....

I bought some on sale products and added them to my next subscription shipment, is that going to be a problem?

Nope. The only weirdness there is that you won't be able to view the product descriptions for the bundles after midnight (though you'll still be able to see all of the stuff that's in them properly).

Luckily I did not order any Bundles..

Yeah shipping the 3 Map packs I bought would have had them ship in 2 shipments for some reason and cost me $9+ but adding them to my next subscription shipment only added a few cents for shipment, went with that ;)

This is probably more than you really wanted to know, but the reason would likely be that, by themselves, Map Packs don't get to benefit from Bound Printed Matter rates (since they're not bound), so they usually end up shipping First Class. First Class has a low weight limit, though, and once you go over that, you have to move up to Priority Mail—and that's a big enough jump in price that sometimes it's cheaper to send two lightweight parcels by First Class instead.

But when you choose to ship Map Packs with books, so long as the books outweigh the maps, you *can* benefit from Bound Printed Matter rates—or, if you have enough books that we're already using a Priority Flat Rate box, then you can add additional stuff without a significant price increase until we need a bigger box.

Bottom line—if you're buying things that aren't books, adding books can often make your shipping cost go down.

(This applies to US addresses—internationally, content usually doesn't matter.)

Ah well.

We have different plans for the holidays.

Some of the bundles may potentially return at some point... but probably not at quite as stunning a discount.

Talk about a deal that was too good to refuse. I couldn't help myself, I just had to buy one of the Super Bundles. And then I ended up adding two more items to the order so that I'd get the shipping discount.

I've just got to say, Paizo folks, that was one brilliant sales strategy. I'm ordinarily a real Scrooge when it comes to spending my money and yet you guys got me to drop more than a 100 dollars on myself just before Christmas. The deal was so good I can't even feel buyer's remorse!

I only wish I could have afforded more than one of the bundles.

I completed my AP collection by picking up the last 3 volumes of CotCT. Cheaper than buying them used!
