I'm pretty sure it's a name change since locathah is a D&D and thus probably an OGL term. Plus they do resemble each other and originate from the same city, so I'm almost positive that they are one and the same. ![]()

You are right. I'm just upset that its one of the few weapon familiarity feats that is not future proofed with "You gain access to all uncommon gnoll weapons." ![]()

If this was another sorcerer with minor changes, I'd almost be happy with that. Instead, we get a spell caster who gets punished for being a spellcaster. The unconscious mind would be a neat idea if it did something besides simply punish you for doing what you were designed/trained to do. ![]()

1. Opening it up to non-mystical archetypes is (IMO) begging for power creep and takes away from the clear mystical focus for this AP. 2. Biggest thing about the Druid and Wizard Archetypes that I can see is that they are prepared casters, which fits the theme of studying and learning magic. Another reason I'd probably expand it to witches. ![]()
![]() I know that this is over a month late, but it's taken me a while to put everything in order and make some necessary connections. I'm a Gamer of Color and have been gaming in one fashion or another for close to 3 decades now. For the vast majority of this time, I have avoided playing elves and many of the pretty races. It's only recently that I've come to realize that this was because the elves (as presented in LOTR and D&D) were based on the sidhe and European fashions of beauty. That's not me. They didn't look like me. The dark-skinned elves were the Drow, which are so filled with issues that I don't even want to spend the energy on them. Paizo initially captivated me because of Seelah. A black woman being the quintessential representation of 'ultimate' good? YES PLEASE!!! With the advent of PF2 and the upcoming Mwangi book, I now *see* elves that aren't based on anything European. I see elves that look and *feel* like me. For the first time in over 2 decades, I'm looking forward to playing an elf character. My elf has an afro and will be decked out in more South American and African-inspired garb and Paizo has made him feel like he *belongs* in Golarion. Representation Matters. Thank you Paizo. I can't adequately say how much having visual and cultural diversity in your art and stories means to me. Thank you. Diversity Matters, and you do a great job of it. DON'T STOP. ![]()
![]() I'm hoping that the Inventor- specifically the Armor Innovation gets some love and variety besides the same cake with slightly different frosting. I still think inventors should get a Level 8 feat that reduces reload time. If you're going to stick to basic guns, what about the repeating revolvers from 1e? Would reduce the crappiness of both crossbows and in turn, it would help out the gunslinger at the same time. Personally, I think the way of correcting the weapons with guns is to give them a small clip say no more than 3 or 4 bullets per 'clip'. Combined with 1 action to reload a round, should resolve both issues IMHO. ![]()

I gotta say that, while I did not expect it, I am excited at the prospect of new Kobold weapons. Tail weapons!!!! ![]()

This wouldn't be a bad idea if you decided the form that your explosion took at level 1 and stayed that way from then on. ![]()

Just for the record, you *don't* have to follow in Thursty's steps by crafting scenarios that have a death rate close to their pass rate. You really don't. You can be your own person and not cackle gleefully when you hear one of your scenarios ended in another TPK. It's really not necessary. ![]()
![]() The insisting on all characters on having a Home Region is creating an interesting ..... mess RAW. By this I mean the language that we refer to as Common. If my leshy character is from Katapesh, then *my* Common is Katapesh, then I would *only* be able to speak with people who speak Katapesh or Sylvan. I would not be able to communicate with people who have Taldane as their "Common". So in effect, we now have a Society of people who have a world full of languages that are all *their* Common. That's a headache waiting to happen, when people start to assume that language X is Common when in fact it's Language Q. ![]()

I'm so relieved we've finally been able to announce it and we don't have to be all "Mmmm I dunno" when people keep asking for exactly what this book is focusing on. YAY! :-) I love companies that listen to their customer base. Gnolls AND Anadi??? And this is taking place in the MWangi with a KILLER AP the following month??This is amazing!! ![]()
![]() Okay, no one has said it, but I LOVE the fact that Qiu is (apparently) non-binary. A big deal wasn't made of it, just included as yet another fact. Representation matters. That's one of the reasons I've always loved Pathfinder, they take strides to make sure that diversity is shown in a meaningful fashion. I can not tell you how pleased I am that the Iconic Paladin/Champion is a Black woman. The literal embodiment of good is a Black woman. Representation matters. The fact that the Iconics are such a diverse group is a reason that I love this game. The next step of course is to have a non-binary or perhaps even trans Iconic. HINT HINT PAIZO. Perhaps as one of the NEW classes, you're working on? |
