Knowing he's not being granted a question, Tam listens attentively as the others use theirs. He's disappointed in the results but grateful for the knowledge. "If weapons won't help, I'll be less useful than with the last guardian. I'll see what I can do. Perhaps an idea will come to me," he says, smiling grimly, ready to go in.

"Take some time, I don't think the Chaos Pit is going anywhere...is it?" Tam says, finishing his statement in a questions as he turns back to the now-defeated Waykeeper. Frustrated at his inability to land good, consecutive hits on the opponent, Tam takes his hand off his staff for a half second and following a quick flourish, he and all his duplicates disappear entirely. Spending a MP to get Greater Invisibility for 6 rounds. A series of 'whooshing' noises from Tam's staff as it moves through the air is all that tells the others he's continuing his attack. Will this work, Reckless?: If not, please feel free to ignore... As Blindness/Deafness is a permanent spell effect, rather than an instantaneous, this should be legit, and I hope it is, because otherwise I don't think we can cure this until a cleric can re-prep spells...
Tam gets to his feet, and peers down the pit while the Waykeeper and Markus talk back and forth. Does it look any different with True Seeing & Arcane Sight? Shaking his head, he stows his staff in the unique holsting-clasp on his back, then carefully makes his way over towards Donnen. Through his regular sight, he sees the Dinosaur, but with his True Seeing he can see the man inside. And with his Arcane Sight, he sees a dark cloud of an aura, covering the poor man's face. With a quick brush of his hand against the dinosaur's hide he absorbs the blinding aura into himself, leaving Donnen once again sighted, and then dismisses the effect as soon as he can. Transfer Magic, dismissing spell. Assuming that the Blindness is the highest level effect? "Whoa, Donnen. Take care, friend..." he says, expecting him to be more than a bit confused as he starts to explain what's been missed.

Having stolen the Waykeeper's True Seeing, Tam capitalizes on the opportunity and casts Mirror Image: suddenly 6 other duplicates surround Tam.
Then, the lot of them charge down the way towards the Waykeeper, moving absurdly fast thanks to Tay's Haste, and easily jumping the chasm. The swarm of Tams position themselves on the far side of the beast, so that the others can follow in, and then attacks. DC 30 to jump 30' pit

Tam feels a familiar electric pulsing sense as Tay casts her spell, and recognizes the effects of Haste, while noticing the particular strength of her power. Tam grits his teeth, and pushes into the darkness. He'd been waiting to see if the others would return, as he hated acting with this little understanding of the consequence, but without another way ahead, he had little choice.

He's not exactly stealthy, but he doesn't draw much attention either, as there's conversation happening between the groups. Tentatively, Tam takes a seat at the table, having waited longer than the others to make his way there, and only then after as reasonably thorough an investigation as he felt appropriate. Clearly they were supposed to be eating with these people, but that didn't mean he'd leave an opportunity to know something about them on the table-- so to speak. Ok. Just auras, strengths, and schools will do then, though I will give a standard action concentration to each of them to determine casting/SLAs and power levels. Presumably this is far less intrusive. If anything really piques my interest, I'll deal with it as it comes. Thanks!

Tam casually examines the magical auras --if any-- attached to those in the room, and their gear. Using Arcane Sight, and taking 10 on all Spellcraft checks for a 24. This is probably going to be a standard, common activity, especially given the circumstances.

"Hrm, perhaps he will. Or perhaps he won't. That might, in and of itself, be part of the 'Game'." Tam shrugs it off with confidence that he'll know what's needed at the right time. He studies the remaining teammates' magical auras intently, making a game out of identifying the effect with his Arcane Sight and then guessing out loud to each person, simultaneously passing the time while getting to know his teammates.

Hrm, probably fine with the Undetectable interpretation. It's kind of pretty involved in the build, what with Vanishing Move and all that, but maybe not critical? I'll think on it, and say something before we start if I think I need to change it or anything else involved. RE: Spells, actually Deathless was what I was actually going for. It's from Mythic Adventures, so I figured it was legal. If not, let me know and I can find another option, though I'll probably want to trade out Endurance and Diehard if that's the case. |
