Tam's strikes mostly seem to have little effect on the large creature, although the third hit does seem to penetrate its defenses more deeply.
Even held, the inevitable 's reinforced hide turns away Nils' attacks.
Markus's final strike cuts a wide gash in the Waykeeper, but he still struggles against Donen's embrace.
146 + 19 + 58 = 223
Donnen Phelps
The druid ignores his own conditions. Even blind and deaf, he uses the legendary power of his amulet and makes his Pin attempt to be an Unstoppable Strike as well, going against the creature's touch armor.
Pin: 1d20 + 27 + 1 + 1 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 27 + 1 + 1 + 5 = 38
With the speed of his grapple, he tries to tight his embrace even more.
To Harm: 1d20 + 27 + 1 + 1 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 27 + 1 + 1 + 5 = 45
Damage: 2d6 + 13 ⇒ (4, 2) + 13 = 19
Standard to pin using the last legendary point from the amulet. Move action (Greater Grapple) to harm against the pinned opponent. Unstoppable Strike only works on the pinning attempt.
Thokk Titanbane
Sorry for the delay.
+1 morale bonus on attack rolls, weapon damage rolls Heroe's Feast.
+1 bonus on attack rolls haste.
Drops bow, draws his Greatsword while moving.
Uses his Titan's Bane ability: You can move through the space of any creature two or more size categories larger than you without provoking attacks of opportunity, and you can share such a creature's space. When sharing a larger opponent's space, you gain cover against all melee and ranged attacks made by the creature, and it is considered flat-footed for the purposes of any melee or ranged attacks you make against it.
So his attacks are against his Flat-Footed AC.
And he uses Mythic Power Attack.
Thokk, emboldened by Tayanalla's Mythic Haste, moves towards the creature and full attacks it!

Unstoppable Strike is not usable on a Maneuver, as maneuvers do not target AC, but CMD, and bypassing armor does not have any effect on CMD. You may retain the legendary power point.
Thokk, the Waykeeper is only large, thus not applicable to Titan's Bane.
Tam- You received True Seeing at CL 18 from your Transfer Magic with a duration as if it had just been cast on you (18 minutes.)
Thokk;s blows are largely ignored by the held guardian, whose tough hide protects it from the strikes.
Donnen fails to pin the Waykeeper, but tightens his jaw's grip, damaging the inevitable.
223 + 4 - 20 = 207
The Waykeeper pounds on Donnen once more, surging his fists with energy as he does so.
1d20 + 27 ⇒ (5) + 27 = 32 for 2d6 + 12 ⇒ (3, 6) + 12 = 21 and 4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 2, 5) = 12 Electricity and 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 3) = 18 sonic.

Due to the Slow Reactions Rogue Talent, the Waykeeper can't make AoO for 1 round, unless otherwise ruled by the GM.

Its a little hard to make mythic work here on the forums, but if I fail to pin, then I surge the attempt. If it still fails, I use the second grapple to pin instead of harm.

Ok, then. The first doesn't work even with the surge, but the second pins him. That will change his actions, too, though, as he cannot attack and instead attempts to free himself-to set the precedent here, we will use the same d20 roll of his first attack 5 + 29 = 34 this fails, but he surges it 1d10 ⇒ 7 34 + 7 = 41 And he escapes.
After the waykeeper escapes from Donnen's jaws, he uses his quickened spell-like ability to dimension door away, down the hall past the chaos pit. he still speaks of the worthiness of the trial.
Given this change, Markus and Thokk may change their actions.
The Waykeeper is about 120' away with a 30' pit brimming with chaotic energy between you and him.
Donnen Phelps
Damn, this guy is oily :)
Tam Devlin
Having stolen the Waykeeper's True Seeing, Tam capitalizes on the opportunity and casts Mirror Image: suddenly 6 other duplicates surround Tam.
Mirror Images: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 other
Then, the lot of them charge down the way towards the Waykeeper, moving absurdly fast thanks to Tay's Haste, and easily jumping the chasm. The swarm of Tams position themselves on the far side of the beast, so that the others can follow in, and then attacks.

1d100 ⇒ 61
As Tayanalla flies towards the Waykeeper, and crosses over the edge of the pit, a wave of energy washes over her from the pit.
Reflex 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
Tayanalla avoids the blast of energy, but finds herself flying in the wrong direction, towards the group instead of towards the Waykeeper.
1d100 ⇒ 3
As Tam moves to jump the pit, he finds a massive amount of gravitic forces pulling him downward mid-leap.
Reflex 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
He is able to grab the side of the pit rather than being puled down into it.
Strength 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 With considerable effort, he pulls himself out of the pit against the pull of the massive gravity.
"I did tell you that you need the Thought Sphere of Order to traverse the Chaos Pit." The Waykeeper says flatly, tapping his forehead.
Tam Devlin
Pretty happy I didn't get sucked down into the pit, but did the rest of my action go through? Just want to mark off or un-mark off the Mythic Power uses, etc.

Markus, while waiting for the creature's reply, walks to the edge of the pit and concentrates on his scimitar for a pair of seconds, then talks again in the hopes of getting a response.
"So we are supposed to challenge you. Is the challenge not a combat? Or are you supposed to stay behind a pit we cannot pass? What kind of challenge is this?"
Using Divine Bond to give the scimitar a +2 bonus, will look for interesting properties when I get back from work.

The Waykeeper watches impassively from across the pit as (Thokk's?) arrow bounces off of him. "Now, when you first arrived, I gave you time to heal and time to think, as well as a warning about the pit. I admit, your initial foray did cause some injuries, which I am now taking the time to heal. Do not concern yourselves overly much with the pit itself. Defeat me... on that side of the pit, and you will gain the Thought Sphere of Order. Destroy me on this side of the pit, and you'll have failed my test. Now, your friend the dinosaur might need some help of his own."
He remains watchful, but is clearly stalling while his regeneration heals him.
From what little you were able to find out about the Mindscape of the Dreaming Dark, there are some traps or places within which do not act in accordance to normal rules of science or magic. You would guess the pit is one such place.
It seems, from your observation, to be fueled by chaotic energies of conjuration and transmutation, which warp dimensional norms and which could conceivably transform a person body and mind- perhaps even supplanting the soul with something conjured.
Tam, no, your action did not go off and you did not spend the MP.
Thokk Titanbane
If anyone is hurt, fell free to have Thokk heal him using his Wand of Cure Light Wounds. Roll away and let me know the number of spent charges.
Markus Jäger
"So" tries to settle Markus, "we will wait for you here, as you say. But just so we know it in advance... Every time we deliver you some damage and spend our resources you'll be fleeing to the other side of the pit and regenerate?"
Meanwhile...
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
2 charges should suffice, thank you. Now someone should do something about that poor blind dino...
Tam Devlin
Tam gets to his feet, and peers down the pit while the Waykeeper and Markus talk back and forth. Does it look any different with True Seeing & Arcane Sight?
Shaking his head, he stows his staff in the unique holsting-clasp on his back, then carefully makes his way over towards Donnen. Through his regular sight, he sees the Dinosaur, but with his True Seeing he can see the man inside. And with his Arcane Sight, he sees a dark cloud of an aura, covering the poor man's face. With a quick brush of his hand against the dinosaur's hide he absorbs the blinding aura into himself, leaving Donnen once again sighted, and then dismisses the effect as soon as he can. Transfer Magic, dismissing spell. Assuming that the Blindness is the highest level effect?
"Whoa, Donnen. Take care, friend..." he says, expecting him to be more than a bit confused as he starts to explain what's been missed.
Reckless
|
Unfortunately, the blindness and deafness are an effect from an attack, and not a spell effect.
The Waykeeper thinks awhile before replying. "I will give you a choice, I suppose. I will challenge you one by one without retreating except in between challenges, or I will continue to fight all of you as wise tactics demand. Honestly, I don't believe any one of you could defeat me in single combat, and likely it is a road to your defeat. Perhaps together you have the means to defeat me, or at least prevent me from returning to heal."
Markus Jäger
Markus doesn't have the means to cross the pit and, for what he's seen so far, neither do his companions, so he decides he's going to whistle a tune to try to focus his mind. He's already noticed his hand starting to shake a bit and the general sensation is that ground and ceiling are closer together now, opressing him and not letting him breath properly.
Thokk Titanbane
I say we "invite" it to come back and fight again. Thokk can "get information" from him, maybe can try that, to give us a clue.
Donnen Phelps
Donnen just sits on the floor and yawns. Not much for him to do - and considering the enemy to be a coward - the druid can't help but rest and wonder how easy it was to get the enemy to flee.
Thanks for trying, Tam. - the druid says, as he hears the trickster discussing options near him.
Reckless

Actually, poor Donnen is blind and deaf, as per the attack post.
The Waykeeper takes the time to heal, and then rearranges the runes upon his skin before floating back over the pit. "Shall we begin again?" he asks, landing on the near side of the pit some 45' from the group.

The Waykeeper used a spell-like ability to put a Symbol of Death on it's chest. It did this before it floated over the pit and was more than 90' away.
Tam Devlin
Tam watches the Waykeeper advance, and shuffles back as he does, maintaining a safe distance from the Symbol. When the question is posed by the Waykeeper he replies- calm, cool, and relaxed.
"Yes. Let's."
With a complicated series of hand motions, Tam concentrates, then hurls a ball of energy toward the Symbol of Death.
