Hi, sort of new to the thread. I have read dozens of posts on the mounted combat type and still am a little unclear so I just wanted to reach out to my fellow players that are smarter than I am to get a ruling and make sure it is PFS legal (this might need to be in the society forum, but I'm sure someone will tell me to move it if it is in the wrong locale).
Currently I am a level 4 unchained summoner named Visenya.
Visenya's Basic Description:
Human: +1 Bonus Feat at creation
Feats: Undersized Mount (Med on Med - 1st level), Mounted Combat (1st level), Ride-By Attack (3rd level)
Weapon: Lance
I like to sometimes walk along side the eidolon, sometimes I hop on back and mount him. In combat, I ride on top and attack with a charge (lance). At level 5, looking to take feat spirited charge, level 7 wheeling charge.
Vhagar:
Base form: Elemental (Fire)+Quadraped (free evo is bite + limbs x2)
Feats: Dodge (1st level), Mobility (3rd level)
Evolution points: 5 at 4th level (3 base +1 from 1/4 evo point per level from human +1 from elemental subtype)
Evolutions: Mount (1), Improved NA (1), Inc Ability (2), Improved Dmg (1)
Single Attack (Bite): 1d8 + 1.5xSTR Mod (Imp Dmg, Only Attk)
So at lvl 4, I can ride-by attack and charge but Vhagar can't attack normally. Lance does double damage on charge. I have lots of skills into ride so that isn't an issue.
My question is:
I plan to take spring attack at(6th level) for Vhagar. From what I read, this allows him to attack during the charge. The 6th level evolutions will be as follows:
Mount (1), Flight (2), Reach (1), Inc Ability (2), Improved Dmg (1)
So I will be able to make my charge, Visenya doing Lance damage x3 (from spirited charge), and Vhagar can do one attack during the charge for a bite at 1d8 + 1.5xSTR Mod. I will be able to charge and keep on moving past the creature not to exceed double the mounts movement speed.
At level 7 the question becomes:
Vhagar gets the to take Pounce as an evolution. In this situation, I will have mount (1), Flight (2), Pounce (3), Pincers (1). He will now have multiple natural attacks. Visenya will have Wheeling charge at level 7, so will I be able to have her doing x3 lance damage, with vhagar able to do all his attacks (bite + x2 pincers)?
