Sorry to see the game end, it was fun. TTT, if you pop back on here at some point, I'm curious. Did you have any particular direction you planned on things going over the long term. <- Just curious on how the general world was expected to progress outside of our actions/development.

@Jalel and Korak
LOL, it would have been fun to see such things play out. Lershoth would have supported...
** spoiler omitted **

Sure Lershoth, I can a least do that before I take this game down. So My plan was for Rose and company to deal with Sam in whatever way. Tensions would rise amongst the survivors and depending on the player actions this or that would happen.

Meanwhile the a Giant would be closing in on the survivors location. (Though not purposefully) As the orb would slowly gain more influence. At some point another death would happen, as someone would claim it was (Whatever Sam's wife's name was) Was the culprit. Player choices would happen and alter things in whatever shape, but these mystery murders would continue and the orb would grow stronger. Whoever held the orb would keep needing to make daily checks to not fall under it's influence. With the more killings that happen the more powerful it's pull. Eventually Rose and company would be attacked by another foe. The demon that Jalel stole from, but would be rescued by the dragon born. And would find out he had been hunting the orb in hopes of ridding the world of it. Though by this point the orb would have mysteriously vanished. Meanwhile the giant would be roaming the immediate area making unsafe to go outside. The survivors would decide to either deal with the giant first or find the orb. In both tasks the dragon born would be willing to help. With hunting the orb, you would eventually come across a small army of undead and witness the orb hatch into a wicked creature of some sort. A battle would ensue. It would spread through out the tunnels and all survivors would participate. Assuming the party was not wiped out the next task would need to be tackled. in this case, the giant. You would then learn from the dragon born that wicked creatures called witches were residing upon the giants causing them to be destructive monsters. You would then find a way to sneak onto the giant to search and kill the witches that live upon the beast. A dungeon crawl would take place. You would find the big bad witch, possibly kill it and free the giant of it's burden. This would be great because the giant is no longer a threat, and because you have a possible new territory. Other giants could be freed in this manner and made into places of refuge. As more places get developed and such steam machines would become a possibility and open new doors. I was then going to focus on alliances and new threats from other establishing cities. You would learn that killing an affected giant is a very bad thing. As when one dies it will leak the purple fog. As what happened years ago. Certain creatures though that were unaffected by the fog and ruled during the time of it will also lean this and seek to kill one. Players would try to prevent this. As for Polmar and his group, They would have become slaves on board a pirate ship for a while. Possibly escape or join the crew. Then go to the East country. And discover steampunk technology. They would then learn of the seed, held in an old ancient tower. A big dungeon crawl would take place. Then they would do what they will in there new environment. They would then head back, or stay. But if they head back they would appease the dragon and he would gift them with a lens that let them see through the eyes of whoever they were thinking of. Also they would have most likely returned with a number of people and tech from the East continent. That's roughly where I was going to go with this game. Of course player choice would have altered added a lot as with Jalel's planned takeover. Again thanks for sticking with me for the past months, hope you enjoyed it. I look forward to just being a player for a while, in another game. If a good one catches my eye.Happy gaming.

Is this game still happening?

So my real life got way more crazy, thanks to my new job in nursing. It takes a lot out of me, to where running this game well is just not in the cards, right now. I am not enjoying it, as it is starting to feel like a chore. As I am both physically and mentally exhausted. So I am calling it. As big of a bummer as this is, I am ending Giants Reign. I want to thank all who participated and brought so much to their characters and the story. Again I am sorry. Happy future gaming.

So I know a lot of you will be very preoccupied this weekend, me included. So let's take a break Thursday-Sunday, and resume Monday. How does that sound to everyone?

The trial is now starting. First thing brought fourth is the body, which is laid on stage before the crowd. Some gasp, some cry, and some remain silent. How would you like the order of things to go Rose? Witnesses first? Evidence? Your call, since your judge.

The folks take few moments, but then decide on five others. Talirin being one. Two of the guards are also chosen. The two other folk, Brennus and Miro.

@Lershoth. There intentions don,t seem good. Though you don't think it is death that awaits you.

Thomas hung up the phone, after assuring his friend he would soon be there. He then walked over to Patrick to let him know what was going on. Thomas then went out to his Toyota Altima and headed for Arcata.

Those underground:
Meanwhile, Talirin witnesses the folks gather around the small wood stage that the elections for the cities leader took place upon. Talirin stands with Sam on the stage, two guards nearby, waiting for Roses, return. It has been sometime now and the folks are getting restless, and are beginning to argue again. Some are starting to even get combative. Rose, Karliha, and Siobhan can hear this from where they are.

Sailors:
"No, there was no fog anywhere else." The dirty man replies to Polmar. Jalel then steps says his piece. The man then responds to Jalel, "Your right. I am sure this little meeting of ours can be quite benificial..." He grins menacingly. You all hear multiple blades being drawn. You are surrounded. "Now as for meetin the cap'n, that will come later. But as of now you be comin wit us. I would caution no funny stuff if yes wanna keep her limbs."

I can read either or, fine. But for the sake of others, let's do "Bold." Though I am not going to jump down anyone's throats if they forget.

The man grins a yellow toothed grin at Polmar, "Nothin." The people surrounding you inch a little closer. "We could see the fog from here. Ya see? But it only got a few miles off shore of Gein. (That's the name of the western continent. Your continent.) The people inch a little closer.

The man with the dirty, brown hat chuckles a bit, then says, "We survived, cuz we was never in that dirty fog."

Lershoth searches for a clue on how to open the stupid door. After a few moments he discovers that it has bolted itself shut. He then inspects the hinges, they look very rusty but he does feel confident he can undo them... After a fair bit of time he manages to get them off and open the door. The trio grab their goods and head for the rope. A little more time passes as they make a plan to get the treasures above. They come up with one and climb to the top. Once above, proud of their accomplishment, the notice a lone figure waiting for them... A tall man with a brown, dingy three point hat. "What are ye doin wit our treasure?" Ahe asks after a couple gold coins drop from Polar sack Soon after more dirty looking men and women walk through the trees from all directions, surrounding the three plunderers, there are at least 25 of them.

Jalel puts his hand on the brass door knob, and attempts to open it...except he fails...

The rat gets pummeled with two more stones to the head. *THUNK THUNK* It then lets out half a shriek then drops to the ground. Dead. Blood pouring from multiple places over some of the gold around.

Lershoth, slashes the beast deep! It screeches in pain, it looks to be getting very desperate now, and goes all out on Lershoth! Full Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21 It manages to bite Lershoth! DAMAGE!: 1d8 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17 Lershoth make a fort save.

The rat then goes for another attack on Lershoth! attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18 Lucky for Lershoth its claw attack misses. As Lershoth is able to back up in time.

The rat then goes for another attack swinging its large tail at.............................Lershoth! attack: 1d1 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

But Lershoth, manages to duck under it!

Polmar your up!

Whoops, your right Jalel. That's what it get for getting on here when tired:P The was only slightly surprised for a second, but not blind nor truly stunned. It will still miss this turn for my blunder. As cool as Jalel looked for a brief second, his little trick did not work this time around.

Lershoth,your up.

Polmar smacks the rat. Jalel, your up.

The rat is stunned. Polmar, your up.

Lershoth, remembers hearing of these giant six legged rats being popular on the eastern continent as guard dogs of sorts. he also remembers that they are scared of fire.

Rat will save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 Jalel catches the rat of guard stunning and blinding it rounds: 1d4 ⇒ 1 The rat freezes up on the spot.

Polar smacks the beast right between the eyes. It screeches in pain. Jalel your up.

It saving up for a better island;)

Siobhan over hears, "It just seems to rash to condemn the man without hard evidence." "True. We don't know if it's a lie that Sam confessed, I didn't hear it."

"I say be done with him. He is a risk to the rest of us, best be safe." "Amen to that." "Do we know if it was self defense?" "Just be done with this nightmare, end him." "I say a trial is in order, we are not barbarians."

It seems a trial is leading by a little.

One of the residents step forward a young, dark skinned woman. "You said he admitted it to you? I would personally like to hear his confession myself." A few folk agree. Others say otherwise. "I trust our duchess." "If she says he confessed then I believe her." "Why did we elect her if we are not going to trust her?"

Another speaks, "I didn't elect her, I voted for Jalel." "So did I. I feel he is a better politician. This one is to quick to fight and often leaves as if she was some scout."

Supporters call out, "Wrong. She is just more hands on." "She often speaks first...Though she can be pretty aggressive..." "She has only been the duchess a short time. She is still learning her role. And so far she has led us well."

A tall black haired man calls out in a booming voice, " People! People! Come on now. We are supposed to be talking about Sam not Rose."

A lot of folks begin to argue.

Combat queue is Rat, Polmar, Jalel, and Lershoth.

The people grow quiet as Rose speaks. After she says her piece, a lot of folk nodded or stated their agreement, others voiced concerns over not a giving Sam a fair trial. "Are we sure it was Sam?" "I have never seen Sam harm anyone before." "We are just going to kill him? No questions asked?"

The rat rushes in a rage it gets minus 2 to ac but +2 to atk, dmg and will saves It comes at Polmar, mouth wide, teeth glistening. Ready to take a bite! attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16 But Polmar, is to quick and doges the rats jaws.

Rat init: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

As Rose and company emerge from the cave, they are greeted by gasps, whispers and questions. "Is he dead?" "What's going on?" "Are we safe?" "Why did he do it? He was always so kind and cheerful." "I thought we had stopped murdering each other."

@Rose. You have a couple small cells occupied by the orcs.

@Rose, 1 bp per 3 carts.

@Nephele. The combat is only happening with Polmars group.

The sailors, start filling sacks with gold and jewels. After a short time They stop as they hear a deep growl. The door shuts instantly and the gold begins to tremble! When out bursts a rat! A rat the size of a stallion. It has deep red fur, large front teeth, and a pink tail and six legs, with claws coming from its pink feet. It comes scurrying at the Party, ready to kill. Roll initiative

@Rose. Sure

@Lershoth. Nope

Polmar can't see any stings or cages above but something about how obvious it is makes him think it's best not picked up.

@Rose, six.

Rose don't forget Sam is still alive. He is near death, but alive.

Polmar senses no magic.

Polmar and company do not find what they are looking for. But they do come across a interesting looking red orb.

I am done making Gilligans Island references:
Lershoth, is able to open the lock after a few moments. The trio then opens the door. Inside they find a large room filled with gold, silver and other trinkets and bobbles.

Perceptions rolls if your looking for a type of specific treasure.

All with Rose:
You can all feel the orbs wickedness trying to take hold in your minds, weakly mind you, but it is disturbing all the same. You can feel a tinge of sadness within you as well for those you lost.

Mary-Ann or Ginger?:
As Polmar inspects the door he notices it is locked.

And with Rose picking up the orb, the voices in her head speak a little more clearly, "What.....Want...."

Around the same moment Karliah and Nephele appear.

@Rose Prolly gonna need a second opinion. But probably from an outside source.

As Rose examines the orb she hears a voice in her head. She can't quite make out what it is saying. Though it sends shivers down her spine.

Damn it, Gilligan!:
Jalel reaches the bottom of the rope. Lershoth close behind. He sees a tunnel ahead. It goes for 40 feet or so then comes to a brass door.

Nephele catches up with Karliah who spots the hidden side tunnel they head through it and catch up with Rose and the others.
