Tagagashi thinks of any questions he might ask their prisoner but his thoughts are clouded over by excitement for all of the loot they had found. The samurai shakes his head and sets his mind back on track. What do you know of the spire? Anything at all; what is each floor like, what enemies are we likely to face, other things of this nature. And why is it that you hide up here, clearly you can handle a fight! Tagagashi hoped that being friendly could help coax the information out.
I am fully in agreement with Mythandor. We won't lose anything from at least trying to talk with him. The samurai sheaths his sword and smirks at Bamur, And once we're done you can tie up any loose ends however you see fit. Tagagashi hesitates for a moment, Perhaps Suki would like to assist you with that.
My intention is to switch places with Mythandor and attempt to open the door. Allow me, I have an idea. The samurai replies to Mythandor. He then switches places with the wizard, nodding to him, and walks up to the foreboding door, sheathing his sword. c'mon... Reaching through the arrow slot Tagagashi feels for the locking mechanism, hoping to avoid wasting time and energy in breaking the door down.
In a blink of an eye, everything has gone wrong, but the samurai, through his years of training, knows how to keep calm in the midst of battle. With his mind still clear, he breathes in his surroundings and hears Kip's request. I'm on it! But do not take her spot, Bamur and I must kick the door down. He then casts a sideways glance at the wizard already knowing what he thinks about the swordsman's previous door-decimating encounters. After sheathing his sword, Tagagashi reaches down and grabs his sister's armored collar, and pulls her to the back of the line.
Tagagashi realizes there's not much to help with here and steps aside, making room for anyone who wishes to pass him. He then pulls his blade from its bindings and finds a brief feeling of comfort in the ringing sound produced. Tightening the grip on his shied he widens his eyes, and deeply inhales, clearing his mind.
Blinking his eyes, Tagagashi looks around, ensuring that he didn't lose his sight from such a flash. He then turns to the wizard and describes his findings. Knock yourself out! But mind yourself. He says tossing the bag to Mythandor. Now curious as to how his sister is, the samurai marches out of the cleric's chambers in search of her.
Tagagashi takes his leave from the conversation and heads over to his sister to start another. Quietly. Are you all right? What was all of the running about? And how's that door, shall we continue? The samurai realizes that all of the questions could sound rude. My apologies, I'm still a little shaken having almost been knocked unconscious. That was only one of the first few battles, and I've almost been out twice already. This is no way to honor our family, trust I will not let us down.
After listening to what Mythandor had to say Tagagashi remains silent for a while thinking of the best course of action. I say we try to fix him up, and if that fails we can still sell him. Even if he works we could sell him for an even higher price. The samurai then looks to Kip. Thank you, I don't think I would've lasted to see the end of that battle if not for you. And I full-heartedly agree, he needs a new name.
Grateful that assistance has arrived, and confused that his sister has fled the battle, the samurai lowers his guard and launches into another attack. Tagagashi VS Clanky: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 2 = 18
Even though he hit and damaged the enemy, Tagagashi doesn't get his hopes up after what happened on his last hit.
As the metallic limb slams itself into the side of the samurai, Tagagashi is winded, but after many years of first-hand experience in battle, he tries to shake it off and use it as encouragement to make the next hit count. Tagagashi VS Clanky: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 Unfortunately, the samurai is still not yet the perfect warrior, and his injuries have affected his efficiency.
Ignoring the failure of his last attack, Tagagashi shifts his focus to the wizard and its spell. The samurai raises his shield for protection from the other enemies as he closes his eyes and tries to fight off the spell. Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 Tagagashi can feel a mental burden lift from his mind and assumes he has rid himself of the spell. He opens his eyes and braces for an attack.
With his sister now out of the way, Tagagashi steps over the recently felled foe and observes a mixture of blood and water flowing out of its chest. Now face to face with the new creature, the samurai swings at its left arm hoping that would do the most damage upon impact.
Tagagashi VS Clanky: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
As Tagagashi's blade slices toward its enemy, it becomes encased in ice like the last time it slew an enemy. This confuses the samurai for he didn't intentionally do this.
Nice shot! Tagagashi yells to Kip from the top of the table, sticking his landing. This time silently, the samurai tries to kill his last opponent by beheading it.
Tagagashi VS Goblin: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
DMG (No CRIT) To Goblin: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Now standing at the goblin's right, Tagagashi hesitates and stares at it. Broccoli and cauliflower? Kicking the leg of the chair, it turns to face the swordsman. WAKE UP! The samurai lifts his sword above his head, and brings it down, severing the goblin's left from its right, and it's right from it's left. (FRA - Coup De Grace) DMG To White Goblin: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (4, 3) + 6 = 13
Tagagashi chuckles at Bamur's remark and claps him on the back as walks by. Thank you Mr. Brightforge, that was a tough little gobbie back there, wasn't it? I honestly didn't know if I was going to make it out of that tower. (Starts Moving To H-12) I'll have to give my thanks to Kip next time I see him. Approaching his sister, the samurai weighs in on her conversation with the wizard. I think that it would be wise to finish off that goblin before we do anything else in here. Turning to look into the darkness, Tagagashi steps in a pool of blood, and sees that there's a trail. He's even marked his path for us.
Tagagashi's mind is still clouded, for his one goal has not yet been fulfilled. Ready to end this battle, the samurai dashes to his right with his sword extended, aiming to part the goblins head from it's body. Swoosh!
Tagagashi (Flank) VS Commando: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 2 = 17
Shlink! The swordsman's blade passes through the goblin's neck, leaving no trace. Tagagashi then wipes his blade and sheathes it, bowing, his mind was now cleared. At last, the battle is over. Well fought everybody. How's Zoogore?
Before the blow even hit, Tagagashi already knew Zoogore wasn't going to be ready for it. However, he had no clue it would result in this. Suddenly the samurai's mind was clouded with nothing but one goal; to kill this last enemy. Tagagashi could hear people talking but none of it registered as he slowly moved behind the goblin. I can't contribute nothing to this fight, especially now. This has to be it... The swordsman, now in position behind the Commando, tightly grips the hilt of his blade, raising it far above his head, feeling every scratch and engraving on it. With a deafening whistle he brings it down on the goblin's head. Grrrah!
Tagagashi (Flank) VS Commando: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 2 = 17
The blade-master lets out a sigh of relief as he feels the sickening crack of the goblin's collar bone, and the wet, deep slice into it's shoulder. Sure he didn't get it's head, but Tagagashi was proud of him self. I finally got you! He smirked.
The swordsman doesn't even bat an eyelash after being hit, and impowered by the sounds of battle behind him, he decides he's had enough. Let's settle this! The samurai weaves past Mythandor and the dog, and stands facing the Commando. This is it! The blade-master thrusts his katana forward, hopeful to finally deal some damage.
Tagagashi VS Commando: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 Looking down, Tagagashi realizes that blow from earlier might have affected him more than he thought. No longer frustrated, but disappointed, the samurai, showing none of his emotions, regains his footing, determined to not loose his second battle here.
With Mr. Bigglesworth now illuminating the room, Tagagashi looks around for any missed details. With everybody fighting over there, I should watch their backs. Now illuminated, the mut's master is revealed. Aha! There you are! Excited by his correct guess, the samurai tries, once more, to hit the dog. Tagagashi VS Dog: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 Showing more frustration with this miss than the last, Tagagashi grits his teeth and scowls.
Already concerned for the safety of his sister, and compelled by the words of Mythandor, Tagagashi rushes through the space left open, with his sword nearly dragging on the floor, and thrusts it upwards at the snapping jaws of the dog. Grrrah! (MA to E-8) (SA - Attack Dog) Tagagashi VS Dog: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 As trained, the swordsman pulls his blade back down, into a readied position, prepared for his next strike. No mutt is without his handler. Where is he? Status And Effects
...Round 1 ...How about we let it see what we do, shall we? With that the swordsman turns from Bamur and moves into position, eager to test his blade once more. (...MA To F-12) Reaching the front line, Tagagashi confidently tightens his grip on his shield, adjusting it, wary of any surprises. (SA - Total Defense) Status And Effects
The samurai straps his Longbow onto his upper back and pulls his Heavy Wooden Shield from it's holder underneath it. With his shield now in his left hand, he pulls his Katana out from it's sheath, ringing faintly. Readied, Tagagashi makes his way up the dirt path, (Starts Moving To H-6) to take a look at the interior of the ruins.
Shocked yet again, Tagagashi watches Zoogore fly down the stairs, I think I have some explaining to do... I apologize on behalf of my friend, he does this all of the time, you'll get used to it. Do not worry though, I know that he would never pass up an opportunity like this one. Eying those before him, then taking a long sip of tea, he nods. We're in.
Astonished by the fact that he had just watched Kip eat his own body weight, Tagagashi informs him, Thank you but, I'll leave my rounds for Zoogore. However, I would like some hot water with your finest herbs. Catching his sisters glance, the samurai nods then turns to the wizard, That does peak my interests, count me in. As for my skill set, I bring honor, leadership and a well trained blade.
Knowledge Religion Check: 1d20 ⇒ 14 Tagagashi makes his way to his seat, leaving the nearest for his sister, Hello gentlemen. Talking to the wizard, That's correct, we are looking for work. He glances over to his own companions, then back to elf, I believe we would be interested in hearing your proposal.
Walking into the tavern Tagagashi looks around, breathing in the warm, pungent air. Remembering the smell of a home cooked dinner, Tagagashi relaxes his muscles. The swordsman steps up to the bar (Moves to P-17) and settles the details on their lodgings. Say, is there any work for a few travelers around here?
Tagagashi takes a step to the right, making sure Zoogore doesn't do anything rash. We're travelers and we mean no trouble, we're just here for a place to grab a bite and get some rest. The samurai hesitates for a moment, studying the guard. Resuming his response he asks Do you happen to know of such a place? |
