I will continue to play my Aldori Swordlord...
Everybody knows Aldori Swordlords suck though and can't do anything.

It is true. Brother Taco does suck at every thing. Brother Taco wonders why Brother Taco was made Venture Captain.

That's certainly a valid reason, but it hardly makes the $40 pill any easier to swallow. On the flipside, since these things are now in a hardcover, this means we will never see them fixed. Signifer is forever painful for Warpriests, Aldori Swordlord is forever a terrible archetype, and so on. Paizo is a major player in the industry, with access to an unprecedented amounts of freelancer support, this kind of laziness isn't something we should support or make excuses for.
Putting them in the Rules line means that they actually can get errata/FAQ support, unlike literally any other product line. That said, yeah, I'm not hopeful about the Signifer thing based on what I heard.

this news to Taco...

The Exchange

Swan boat. All Pathfinders need swan boat.

The low-level rogues with 10 STR are OK. They may feel underpowered in combat, but that's only in comparison to an overpowered standard developed by the player base. And, really, there is more to most scenarios than combat.
Try playing a fighter with a 10 strength. Yeah, you get looks.

Yes, Taco get looks. Taco get looks of, "Taco, why you so awesome?"

Taco just that awesome.

I guess I just find it difficult to run an effective scenario when I have a character that hits all the scenario monsters on a two, but the monster needs to roll 18's to hit the PC's. Makes the whole adventure seem pointless.
To which I must ask "is the only point of a scenario the combats?"

I am sorry to say that a lot of our fellow players consider "the only point of the scenario the combats". Not me, I actually don't even bother with that part of the game. I normally just sit back and let the other players (the "live for the fights" players) to handle that.

so I know what you are saying, here's quoting myself from an older thread:
Why do you consider PCs to be all about combat? Why are you defining your PC by his combat stats only? Is this just a combat game for you? I feel really out of place here I think...

Or perhaps I feel like a feminist turning to a "jock" and saying:
Fem:"Do you think the ERA is important?" (ERA: Equal Rights Admendment)
Joc:"Very important! Many people discount it, but I feel it's very relavent to determining a players abilities.) (ERA: Earned Run Average).

(Power Level):
"I can do 150 HP in a melee round!"
"Yeah, but can you dance?"

so when I'm in threads like this I just feel compelled to ask something like "yeah - You've got a Touch AC of 50, and can do 150 HP in a melee round, but are you any good at Tien Tea Ceremony? Can you dance? What's your chance of looking like you belong at the Dukes Ball?"

Of course Taco can dance! True! He has two ranks in Perform Dance.

Of course Taco can perform the Tien Tea Ceremony! True! He has loose tea, a teapot, and a Tengu drinking jug! Plus he has 13 ranks in both kn: geography and history, and 6 ranks in kn: nobility.

Of course Taco belongs at the Duke's ball! True! He has an honorific and is a member of a prestigious dueling school. Also, see his knowledge skillz above.

OK, now that your spoiler text shows the 35 touch AC is possible and legit in PFS, make that same build also do 50 HP damage per hit. Remember, you've just spent all your wealth to get the touch AC up. How do you get to a consistent 50 HP damage with very little cash left for gear to do it?

Where's Taco when you need him to explain a thing or two?

Meditating on all of the violence Taco has caused to increase Taco's chance of joining Korada in the afterlife.

Taco build:

Taco
Aldori Swordlord Fighter 7/ Aldori Swordlord PrC 1/ Duelist PrC 5
Taco's armor build is as such
celestial armor: 9
29 Dex: 8 (max from armor)
18 Int (from the Duelist PrC): 4
Ring of Prot +2
Amulet Natural Armor +2
Aldori swordlord shield bonus +2
Dodge +1
Jingasa of Fortunate Soldier +1
--------------------------------------
Total AC 39
Touch and Flat Footed AC 26

I get a bonus when fighting defensively, both to AC and the penalty to hit (IE, it goes down). Also, if I attack defensively as a full round action I receive an additional +2 bonus to my AC.

Taco's weapon attack and damage:
+3 Keen Aldori Dueling Sword
+26/+21/+16 d8+19

The Dueling sword is a finesse weapon and the ASL PrC lets me apply dex to damage instead of str. Also, I receive a +5 to hit and damage from the Duelist PrC. Add on the normal fighter feats of weapon spec and focus, you get the above.

I am happy to email anyone Taco's Hero Lab sheets if you want to look at them. Send me a PM with whatever address you want them sent to.

I'll use myself as an example. I have a character most of our locals know who is nigh unhittable. This unholy amalgamation is a Fighter/Aldori Swordlord/Duelist. His AC starts at 39 and can go as high as 50. I don't even bother rolling acrobatics checks to avoid AoO due to Mobility and Enhanced Mobility. They stack.
I have not encountered this character, thank goodness.
I would LOVE to see this character. It sounds really fun!

What do you want to know? Taco is here to answer your questions. Taco has the time since he was ungraciously told to leave a table upthread. grunt Taco not spreadsheet, Taco Taco. Spreadsheet was Hellknight.

Key to life is to fight defensively as full round action. Taco become much harder to hit (AC 46). If Taco REALLY think critter very dangerous, then Taco's combat expertise is utilized (AC 50).

Now, Taco is a ton of fun to play but it SUUUUUUUCKED playing levels 1-5. I could hit quite often for d8 damage. That is what a Str of 10 gets you. The looks on people's faces when I told them I was playing a fighter with the aforementioned strength was priceless. The Duelist PrC levels is what made this character stupid broken.

Taco looks forward to seeing Honorable Amara Li once again. Taco also looks forward to not hearing awful barbarous western tongue grate upon his delicate ears. Taco have plenty of opportunity to impress upon barbarous westerners the importance of Swan Boat on long journey to civilized lands. Taco is doubtful Taco's fellow Pathfinders will learn anything while exposed to glorious sights, sounds, and history of Tian Xia. Taco can dream though. sigh...

Also, Taco must neeeds talk to Amara Li about adopted Qadiran Lodge. Ugh, not go well.
