189birds I'm so jealous I would love to meet him, also hello everyone *hugs* I'm awful at boards and talking but I've also been super busy since paizocon, how are you all?

John I read your fingers or joints hurt and ppl were giving you suggestions, as a mechanic in a past life and on the ranch I live on, we use marvel oil. It's red and is used for penetration into loosing up rusted or locked up joints nuts or bolts on equipment, if you take a bit and rub it into the skin over the joint that hurts it does wonders, but if you do too much you will start to taste cherries all the time so only do it at most once a day.

Other then that I've already reserved my room at the doubletree for next years paizocon, and I saw someone mention they might start a thread in order for all of us to hang out or plan I'm for that 100% please let me know if you do.

For anyone who is on here and gamed with me, I played Clifton, or Weenees at the con.

Doug I am right there with you friend. I am taking my son and trying to get into stuff for us both was a bit hard. I would join you and your clone early evening saturday or sunday if you all had room, I ended up signing up for a few seminars that I though he and I would enjoy but we are free after 6pm those days to anyone that has a pick up game. I come with herolab on my ipad, and we are both potty trained :)

Hello all! This will be my first time at PaizoCon, and I am bringing my 11-year-old son with me. I had a few questions:

- I've signed my son up as my "buddy". When we pick lottery events, do I sign up for them, and he gets automatically added, or do we need to both sign up for the same events?

- How strict are the age limitations on the events? Many of the events we are interested in are listed as 13+. My son and I participate in local PFS games and he is able to handle himself pretty well at a table of adults (and he knows the Pathfinder rules better than I do). In particular, we were hoping to try to get into some of the Starfinder events, and there is only one that is listed as ages 10+ (and it's happening Friday night, when we won't be there). Even the "We Be Goblins" adventure sessions are listed as 13+.

- Any advice on parking for locals not staying at the hotel? I'll be driving down from Seattle each day. I'd prefer to have access to my car at the con, but it's OK if this is not possible.

Thanks!

I just looked as well i am bringing my 12 year old son for a guy week of nerding out. He wants to do all the games i sign up for as well I was wondering how we can do that bc i have only seen options for 1 person. I also would love any and all help on this answer. Grim, thanks for bringing this up as well. Hope to see you there and meet each and every other nerd with kids at the con...

Must be a rare thing that everyone seems to have a issue with any one from any community. I have been gaming for a long time, I have a gay GM, his brother also gay plays on roll20. We have a sexually confused guy in my home table top game. Heck my first group consisted of a crossdresser and a bi married couple that the husband ran some of my most memorable games.

I have never understood why a persons sexuality should ever be a issue in the game we all love to play. I mean the basis of the game if you want to think of it is all about playing something you are not, so why be a "Homophobe" or what ever else you want to call it.

I am open to all my game groups I run that if anyone is not accepted for who they are they are not welcome at my table or even back in my home. I hate racism and sexualism...there is already too much hate in this world why play in a imaginary world that you bring the real world thoughts of what you feel is right or wrong.

sorry, rant over, game on NERDS!!!

@Cindy I would love to read your book sometime.
@Selene Best of luck on the quitting smoking thats one of the hardest things to do ive heard.
@Qunnessaa: Could we see what poetry you read?

I was just discussing this last night and actually have had a few heated arguments about it as well. This all clears it up pretty well for doing tricks they know. Thanks for discussing this and for me being able to find it.

Well the first one was kind of a bust. Had a great GM, and 2 other players besides myself show up. I hope the next one in a few weeks is better and I will be posting more around town to see the reaction. I will be asking my daughter to take a flyer to school and hand it to the friends of hers that play that other d20 system to join.

I did enjoy the fast pace. I see that I am more for roleplaying and there for I am thinking I will enjoy the Game Mastering next. I loved how our GM changed his voice and accents with the different NPC's and don't understand why he doesn't like it. Course being on the players side of the screen is a 100 times better if all you do is GM.

Just joining the Forums and saw this, I would be willing to do the society thing and play, I've not made a society character, and the one I did hear about at hastings was on a day I worked so I could not make it. But if you do happen to set up another one, please send me an invite, and I bet I would be able to get 2+ people to show up if its a day off for us, we all work the same shift at Black Thunder.
