OK. Sorry for the confusion earlier. My wife was dictating for me on my IPhone while I was driving. Since my weapon took no damage due to hardness, I would like to use the second round attack as my AOO. The weapon shouldn't take damage due to the hardness again (only 12 damage). Is this all correct?

You are correct. If I saw significant dmg the 1st attack, I wouldn't have attacked again. If I can't retro react, the weapon is destroyed.
