I just realized I never posted a proper pic of my mech itself! Though I don't have the missile launcher yet. And I'm thinking of putting the rifle on a mount and grabbing a sword or something.
It also says nothing on when you're wearing no armor at all, yet the description seems clear that it should apply there. In any case, I'm wearing Light Armor while in the power armor (and using the worse penalty for each per page 203). Solar Armor is declared compatible with light armor. It doesn't improve the armor itself - it gives an enhancement bonus to my armor class. Thus even though I use the higher EAC and KAC bonuses from the power armor, the enhancement bonus and resistance bonuses still apply.
Solarian armor doesn't stack with Heavy Armor, but says nothing about Power Armor so I'm good there. In a home game possibly. Though most of those I home-game with would let it work anyways. But this is a society character so it works as written. What's less clear is stacking of armor mod slots on my light armor + the power armor, but that's a discusion for another thread.
I'm an armor solarian with a one level dip in Sharpshooter Solarian for Heavy Weapon proficiency. I just hit level 5 so I got my Power Armor proficiency. Solarian armor doesn't stack with Heavy Armor, but says nothing about Power Armor so I'm good there. The plan is using Blazing Orbit and a Cathode Cannon with the continuous fusion to do battlefield denial tactics. But yeah, couldn't find much use for wisdom.
Being in a play-by-post campaign instigated a LOT of new art for my solarion. She's one of the clones from the Simar Commune. Sunny Simar
Clip 1: Sunny giving her vlog while some of her sisters watch. Or maybe she's just having a conversation with someone, and hasn't realized she left the door open. Clip 2: A few adventures down the road, Sunny reflects on her past missions.
Sunny looks amazing in the spotlight, as she disperses her built-up solar energy in a supernova flurry and gleams into the spotlight. "Thank you songbird station! We couldn't have won without your support." "And I want to thank all my sisters back in the Simar commune who backed my choice to follow the Sun and see where She led me." She considers plugging her show, but thinks better of it.
Sunny catches the cannon blast in her hair, making it stream along magnificently. She twirls along with it, dancing to CAPTAIN✶CARMINE's beat.
And takes another shot at the tank, smashing into it but not doing a great deal of damage (for once) . Ignore 2 cover
"It.... has a tank mode. Ok..." Sunny considers switching to her sword to help out on a flank, but the only other person who can work the cannon is already in melee, so she'll leave the smashing to Buster & BOB. She takes another shot at the tank.
And she's now fully attuned.
Sunny gives a soft prayer first. "Sarenrae, lend your light to save these people." She then yells out. "Now lets start this light show" As it does not appear to have reach, she takes a guarded step back and fires her laser past its head to draw its attention and keep it focused on her. . (Totally meant to miss like that. Uh-huh. Warning shot. Yeah...) "Gimmie your best shot, you stain of shadow!"
Sunny will make use of a stage trapdoor to rise up through the center of the stage, the lights adjusting and following her like a sunrise then having a burst of light. And now that we have a map, I can post this. Since Buster chose otherwise it doesn't quite fit, but I had this in mind ever since I found out we had 3 ysoki in the party.
Picking a rocker type for a sun-obsessed Solarion? Only Glam has sufficient sparkles for that. Make me shine. Which leads us to... Sunny Glam
"Well, probably not ejected. The station's pretty well constructed, so you'd probably just be smushed against the ventilation grills as they turn you into spaghetti. Ejecting solid matter during a controlled gas evacuation violates regulations, so there's a collection trap in the process."
"Oh, they'd love that. Great idea. I'll have to ask her about the catering when we're done here. Speaking of... Sebrir, if you please." Sunny is out of easy view from the door, wielding her artillery laser. As James remembers that being the Tank character and using heavy Ranged Weapons don't actually go together that well.
"Good luck with that." Sunny will smirk. Easier here than anywhere else, I guess."
Now, what you do with the Cathode Cannon is you put the Continuous fusion on it. Spend an extra charge and that 10 ft line stays on till your next turn. Now if only it was fire damage instead.
Well, we're super excited for the concert, but before that we're looking to meet someone named Hira Lanzio. Have you heard of him?
Understood Sunny switches back to her typical demeanor. Pressing a button on her wrist, her flight suit becomes a party dress, though the glisten of carbon fibers shows beneath it, and a nimbus of solar energy dances around her. She holsters her two cannons and her sword. Ok, I'm ready for the crowds. Sparks, I'm sure we can find a merch booth somewhere.
During talk of gods: Take 10 mysticism = 15. As far as Shelyn and Zon-Kuthon; they're actually siblings. He used to be more like her, but something happened to him and he changed. Then she took his glaive from him, so that's why she uses that instead of, I don't know, a paintbrush or something. My favorite is Sarenrae, but that's probably pretty obvious *glows* Current topic:
You've also seen Sunny talking into a video camera at various points on the trip, presumably her blog. As Ziggy has their face pressed to the viewscreen, Mikkazuki asks “Why is it called Songbird Station? Don’t birds need air to fly?” Oh, I know this one! It's because it's dedicated to Shelyn, and her sacred animal is the Songbird.
During the flight out, Sunny shared her photo album and gave everyone the litany of her sisters. The first 10 are taken in various and conditions, but after that there is only slight variations in clothing and hair through the identical pictures. So, I've got a LOT of sisters. I mean, we're all Simar, but a hundred people with the same name doesn't actually work. To keep track of things, we've all got other names that are alphabetical, and every 26 years we start again. Simar - all of us - think that before the Gap we came from Vudra, so a lot of the names are from records of there. But there also seemed to be a lot of references to a small island nation with ties to the plane of water, so a lot of names came from there too. Biggist sis Simar was the first of course. Then Trisha, but that didn't work out. Then Unita, Vala, and Wynne. When Xavia arrived we moved to our ship, and with Yuti things started to actually organize. Zoey was the last of the first set. The second set was Aoife (it's pronounced ee-fa), Beatrice, Clara, Delphia, Eve, Felice, Garvita, Hema, Inara, Jane, Kaylee, Leuphira, Moira, Nadida, Oja, Priya, Quanda, Ragini, Sarah, Tavishi, Usha, Valini, Wamil, Xaria, Yasiman, and Zelda. What CAPTAIN✶CARMINE does on the drums and Minimetal on guitar... and Tsuchi-ko is just so adorable.. Ok, not so much a fan of Bone, but still they're so great together! Who are you, and what do you have to offer the party? (I still haven't finished my own art of Sunny yet, because I'm having trouble picking an outfit for her. But one of her sisters is on page 49 of Incident at Absalom Station. She looks to be a mix of British and Indian, but with a solar glow about her.) I'm Simar, and there's probably only the one of me at the concert, but it's probably best to call me Sunny just in case. You look confused - I guess you haven't heard of us. My sisters and I live on a ship in the Armada around Absalom Station. We're all clones of the original Simar, but we have extra names to make things easier. That's why I'm Sunny. Well, that, and because Sarenrae is AMAZING! She gave me a blessing before my naming, and it was an 'S' year, so Sunny it was! As to what I offer - well, I'm training to use the giant mech suits, but I'm not quite there yet. But I've got this little bit of Sarenrae's light that protects me, I'm a pretty good pilot, and a really good shot with really big guns. Oh, and I've got thousands of fans who watch my Vblogs on Simar life! What have been your most memorable moments so far with Ziggy and Historia-7? I only met them while going through my Commencement, but Ziggy was fun, and we both wound up getting Star Sugar Heartlove discs! Wound up getting art of my power armor before real art of myself. I'm only level 3 for now, but this is what I'm expecting at level 8, once I've got some good armor and a cathode cannon. |
