Preordered, awesome, can't wait!

Thank you for the calendar Vivriel. Your hard work shows, and this will be a great aid in my new campaign.

I would absolutely buy this book, and I agree with Evil Lincoln about the legacy treasure generation/balance issues.

Please make a PFRPG Treasury... but you can keep the Belt of Battle, we don't need another one of those.

Don't you just love blanket generalizations?

They dealt a "large" amount of d6s to ONE target IF you managed to hit it (which for a wizard is never a certainty). They were designed in order for wizards to be able to deal damage to classes with evasion, or creatures with absurdly high SR (hello mind flayers).

I can tell you have never had to suffer quickened true strike into a maximized orb. Other more-balanced spells that get around spell resistance as well as the raft of abilities that improve getting around spell resistance are a much smarter way of handling it. It is sometimes nice for the wizard to turn to the fighter when facing a super high SR opponent and say: "you take him out and I'll offer support".

As far as I'm concerned, good riddance to the things.

+1. Herremann the Wise is Wise, indeed.

Goodbye orb spells, darken my gaming table no more forever with your cheese.

Seeking Pathfinder players in the greater MD/DC area (NoVA is great too). We've got myself (GM) and two experienced female players as a core of 3. Would love to get involved in the local PFS scene...

My credentials as a GM: RPG gamer since 1983, GM since 1986, RPGA certified Master DM for the 3.5 edition; former D&D Open Championship judge (4E); hundreds of maps, thousands of minis; mature, fun, fair-minded "story first" immersion style with crunchy tactical action too. I am new to PFS, but not to 3.5 gaming, and I've been a Paizo subscriber since the beginning of Pathfinder.

We're also looking for a gamer couple, or two single folks to complete a table of 4 PCs for our new home campaign in Golarion for the Pathfinder APs, starting with Rise of the Runelords.

It would also be fantastic to connect with other Pathfinder GMs in the area and make the local PF scene around Rockville/Silver Spring MD more vibrant. Our home venue can comfortably accomodate a table upstairs as well as in the basement, so let's grow the Society.

(Qstor, I will send you an email to the Yahoo list as well.)

Email sent! If accepted, this will be my first year running Pathfinder RPG at GenCon. I ran the D&D Open Championship (the one with Orcus) last year for the RPGA, but I'm done with that and ready to support my "home system" of choice, PFRPG, in organized play going forward.

Looking forward to GenCon, let's all have fun!

Dear Paizo folk,

There has been a small error in this order: I was inadvertently shipped a copy of the module "The Witchwar Legacy" by Greg Vaughn instead of my print copy of "Winter Witch" from PF Tales. Although Witchwar is a sweet adventure, I already own a copy through my PF subscription. It's all those witches up in the north near the Crown of the World, I tell ya... confusifying things for the warehouse staff!

How should I proceed from here? I can ship back the incorrect module of course. I don't mind waiting on the novel if you can just include it in my next monthly subscription shipment.

Happy Holidays and rock on Pathfinder,
Nick

GM? Mr. Fishy eats GMs and burps adventures. The GM is a dancing monkey. Dance, monkey, dance. If Mr. Fishy needs a spell he has it, even if he's a fighter. If Mr. Fishy says jump the GM better ask "What's the DC."

The GM could bite Mr. Fishy, disrupt Mr. Fishy's game with his foolishness.

The RAW says...wait, damn...Ummmm.

This is my favorite post.

Good morning, Paizo crew & boards:

I have been a 7-slot RPGA judge the past two GenCons (2008 and 2009), but I would rather support Paizo and the PFS going forward. To that end, I wish to volunteer at Gen Con 2010 as a Tier 1 8-slot judge, but I have a few questions before officially committing. I am aware that this forum is not the appropriate venue for signing up (my understanding is that I would email Josh directly for that)... but I thought I might get my outstanding questions answered faster here.

1. Regarding lodging at the Marriott -- I understand Paizo picks up a quarter of the room cost -- but what about booking the actual room? Do we have to handle this ourselves or does Paizo have a "block" of rooms set out for its GMs where they book it and we pay the difference?

2. I assume spouses are welcome in the rooms, and we will not be sharing them with another GM? In other words, we have our own room and privacy.

Thanks for any clarification that you can offer, Paizo staff. I only ask because I am used to the RPGA's way of doing it, and I want to know ahead of time what I need to be prepared for in terms of GenCon planning so I can run Pathfinder for you guys instead.

Dear folks of Paizo,

My recent Pathfinder subscription order (#945886) included Volume 3 of the second adventure path (Escape from Old Korvosa). However, I was charged for the Pathfinder Gazetteer, and that was not included in my shipment. Please advise. I do want the Gazetteer, as it's part of my subscription plan.

Thanks, and keep up the good work on Pathfinder!

I apologize for the inconvenience! A replacement should be shipped with your next subscription shipment.

Thanks, Corey. I'll look forward to receiving it with my next shipment.

Thanks to everyone at Paizo for this fun opportunity to show our design skills. It's a cool idea and it will be interesting to see everyone's ideas put to review by the pros. Best of luck to all.

Just wanted to pop in and say thanks to the Paizo staff for the amazing quality of the Pathfinder Chronicles and Gamemastery modules thus far. Keep up the great work and thanks for supporting 3.5e and writing such fun, challenging and creative scenarios. The true spirit of Dungeon mag lives on.

B for sure. I'll be staying with 3.5/OGL and not converting.

I feel so strongly about this (and so does my group) that 4 out of my 5 regulars are even dropping their RPGA play to nil rather than give WotC a thumbs-up on its new edition.

We LOVE the adventure paths and Pathfinder. Erik, James & others: Paizo will continue to get my business as long as you guys keep putting out 3.5/OGL content in the spirit of the APs and Pathfinder.

I have bought my last version of D&D. I can play this game until I'm on my deathbed about 60 years from now. The 4e announcement put me right back in the realm of the bitter old grognards.

Hi cos,

Received the dice with my Start of Darkness - thanks much for the attention, you guys rock.

Happy GenCon,
Nick

Dear friends at Paizo,

My order #734055 arrived recently but one item - the D&D Deluxe Dice #WOC95697 was missing from the order. All other items were as expected (bang-up awesome job on the new Gamemastery/Pathfinder modules!).

As I order frequently from your site, I suggest that the dice simply be thrown in with my next order rather than you guys eating the shipping, or you can issue me store credit and I'll just order another set with my next buy.

Let me know what your ideal solution would be here. Thanks and good business to you!

Looking forward to Pathfinder #1,
Nick M.

PS. See ya at GenCon!

Your order is waiting on the final restock of the D&D Board Game, which should arrive soon.

Hi Michelle,

Thanks for the response - I will look forward to receiving it when the restock occurs.

Hello to the wonderful people at Paizo,

Can someone check the status of this order for me? Just wondering when I might expect it to ship. (my wife is pestering me about when we can play Kill Dr. Lucky, hehe) Thanks!

Kind regards,
Nick

My order arrived yesterday. Yay!

Thanks for your responses, Vic. It's nice to know someone is shepherding our stuff through the fulfillment process.

Best,
Nick

Can I get a tracking number and shipping method that was used to ship my order? I'm starting to worry about its status. Thanks!

It was shipped standard USPS, which is non-trackable and doesn't have a guaranteed delivery date. Most USPS parcels take only a few days to arrive, but it can sometimes take up to two weeks....

Okay, thanks Vic. I'll expect it in the next few business days then! Take care and thanks again for your response.

Hello folks at Paizo,

I see from the "my account" section of your site that most of this order (aside from two backordered/preordered items for OOTS comics) shipped out on 9/8/06. As of today (9/18/06) I still haven't received this shipment. Can I get a tracking number and shipping method that was used to ship my order? I'm starting to worry about its status. Thanks!

Good business to you,
Nick

I was mistaken... the items appeared to be out of stock because they had already been pulled to be packed up for you. Your order shipped today.

Hi Vic,

Thanks for your response. I appreciate the update and I look forward to receiving my order. Paizo's commitment to customer service is refreshing and you guys are always great to do business with.

Kind regards,
Nick

Hello good people of Paizo,

I'm wondering when my order is going to ship. It's been showing as "pending" for over 2 weeks now.

Also, I subscribed to Dungeon Mag. at GenCon and I was wondering when I should expect my first issue, and what issue number that will be. At GenCon I was told it would be #140... is that correct?

Peace be upon you,
Nick
