I am in NoVa, and just getting started. I am planning on hitting Marscon, but looking for more games in the area.

Weekends are play time for me and I could travel to Md for games, but I have to schedule a few weeks in advance.

I also will be at MarsCon.

Man, I'm in Arlington and I'd love to do that except for two things - Laurel is a little farther than I can get to for a regular game, and it being a regular game. With my wife & I expecting our second child in the early March, I can't really make any commitments. Ideally, I could do the occasional guest spot at a local game. Panda, let me know what you find or put together.

Barovan,

I am located just a few miles away in Jessup, Md, but am unsure of my availability due to work issues .... can you give out some more details? .... DM experience, make-up (age, sex) of players, frequency of play, flavor of game (serious, humorous, evil, etc.) and other pertinent details.

Thanks, Fenrat

I made a Yahoo! group for organizing games around the DC area. We played today at GMU in an empty room. Modules 1 and 8.

The Yahoo! group is:

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Pathfinder_Society_DC/

Do you guys have Pathfinder #'s? The age is around 30-40. The players have mostly played Living Greyhawk together but there are a few new players. Evil? Characters cannot be evil in the Pathfinder Society. There's no mention on evil acts and alignment shift but as a DM I'd use common sense.

I am ALL ABOUT gaming for PFS in Maryland!

I'm way up in Carroll County, but I can do Laurel if I know the date.

When's the next game???

I see we have scoured this venue clean for players... >:)

I posted to see if there were any other groups in the area where we could have larger gamedays.

There are assuredly others in the D.C. Metropolitan area - but Laurel, MD is not exactly convenient, nor do we all necessarily have the free time to participate in more than 1 game a week. :)

Good luck with this though! And it is always good to see such posts - after all, if things for some reason completely disintegrate, then these provide an alternative means to possibly attend another game.

Currently, we have a group meeting at George Mason University (in Northern VA) once a month for two sessions. We have eight players and two DMs. The link to the group is in one of the messages above.

We are still looking for new players, especially as the group is on two different tiers. We want to be able to run both low and high tier games. Check out the link if you're still interested. We'd be gald to have you.

Hi. I'm logic_poet on the boards, and I currently playing Seraphina Neferneshmt (Osirion). PFS#1150. Please add me to the group, or if you deny me again, please let me know why this group is "private". Have there been any local undesirables flaming up the boards that need excluding?

We had a game day last weekend and had about twelve people playing. Let me know if anyone else is interested in DC/MD or NoVa area.

I am right in Columbia, MD ... may I inquire as to the age of the players, type of game you play (serious, funny, hack and slash, etc.), and frequency of play?

We play about monthly. I think there have been a couple of twice in a month months. I think almost everybody is varying degrees of post college. The nature of PFS scenarios don't really lend themselves to deep roleplay, but you should come check us out sometime. Just head over to Yahoo groups and ask to join, and in the form, mention your post over here.

Liberty's Edge 4/5

I'm in Columbia MD too. But we've been playing mostly in NoVa. I did run a module in Glen Burnie too. I was hoping for new players but only established players showed up. Most people are in their twenties to thirties. I'm 42.

Last month we did have a table of new players so not everyone is "higher" level at this point.

Are you going to GenCon?

btw We're playing the Pathfinder Society mods as part of a 'living' style campaign. Meaning your character advances per each Pathfinder Society module you play. And characters must comply with the Pathfinder Society guidelines for creation. They can be downloaded on the Paizo site.

Mike

Liberty's Edge 4/5

I'm going to GenCon but some other members of our group are running three Pathfinder Society modules on Saturday the 15th at George Mason Univ. in Fairfax, Va if new people are interested.

Does anyone know of a weeknight game going on around the DC area? I'm in the Alexandria area, and would prefer gaming in VA for the short drive, but would be interested if there was some kind of a regular game going on.

How's this going? I live in Laurel and was looking for a group to do organized play with. Are there openings and is the game ongoing?

I'd like to know too. I live in Pikesville, but I work in Columbia.

We're running Pathfinder Society organized play modules. Not a "home game" however you guys are welcome to join! A few of us have experience in the RPGA from Living Greyhawk.

I live in Columbia and there are two players that live in Laurel but havne't been playing in a few months.

The rules for PC creation are here on the Paizo site under the Pathfinder Society area. You can create a 1st level PC and jump in.

We have a Yahoo group that we use to organize the games. There's six players maximim per "table" a table is a group of six players and a DM.

Mostly we've been running games in N. Virginia although one time we did in College Park.

E-mail me off list and I can add you to the group. welcome

We're also running mods at SyndCon in Feb. '10 in Rockville.

My e-mail is qstor_67 (a)t yahoo

Mike

I know nothing about organized play, but it sounds kind of formal to me... anyway, Rockville and College Park are a bit out of my way, and N. Virginia certainly is. But if anyone wants to start a game closer to Columbia or Laurel, I may be interested.

I don't know if I have time for a home game but the convention website in Feb. is

http://www.syndcon.net/

I've run games at the game store in Glen Burnie before.

Hi folks,

Another No Va player checking in. Brand new to PF, and looking for some folks in the Arlington/Alexandia/Fairfax area. I have 2 friends that are interested as well. We can do both weeknight and weekend play, although one of us has an odd schedule that we'd have to work around.

2 of us have never played PF before, but all of us have some degree of 3.0/3.5 experience at some point or another. It would be a big help to us if someone local who has a few PF sessions under their belt is interested in a group, but if not, what they hey, come on anyway, we can all bungle along together :) as we learn.

Feel free to email me at fenian15 at comcast.net

I see that this thread is for Pathfinder games in the MD, & NoVA area, so I wanted to stop by and let you guys know about our local convention
synDCon 2010. We'll be running quite a bit of Pathfinder Society games.

I've already started a thread here. Go take a look at that thread or visit our site for more detailed information.

I already know some of you on this thread (Hi Mike), and I hope to see many more of you at our games.

Thanks,

If your still looking for players I would be interested. I am located in Manassas, VA but would be willing to make the trip for a regular game depending on the day it would occur and how often.

Dah dah bump bump.

The primary organizing we've been doing has been on the Yahoo List. If anyone is interested please contact me off the boards and I'll add you. My email is above.

Seeking Pathfinder players in the greater MD/DC area (NoVA is great too). We've got myself (GM) and two experienced female players as a core of 3. Would love to get involved in the local PFS scene...

My credentials as a GM: RPG gamer since 1983, GM since 1986, RPGA certified Master DM for the 3.5 edition; former D&D Open Championship judge (4E); hundreds of maps, thousands of minis; mature, fun, fair-minded "story first" immersion style with crunchy tactical action too. I am new to PFS, but not to 3.5 gaming, and I've been a Paizo subscriber since the beginning of Pathfinder.

We're also looking for a gamer couple, or two single folks to complete a table of 4 PCs for our new home campaign in Golarion for the Pathfinder APs, starting with Rise of the Runelords.

It would also be fantastic to connect with other Pathfinder GMs in the area and make the local PF scene around Rockville/Silver Spring MD more vibrant. Our home venue can comfortably accomodate a table upstairs as well as in the basement, so let's grow the Society.

(Qstor, I will send you an email to the Yahoo list as well.)

I've always found the MD beltway area very lacking in PF and 3.5 for whatever reason. Most of the games were in NoVA, mainly in Fairfax or Arlington areas or Baltimore.

The Yahoo group is very nice for PFS as Qstor says. I also have used Meetup in this area to find other people. I used to live in Greenbelt, MD, but now live in Sterling, VA.

I have found that Paizo boards aren't as good for finding people for whatever reason, but keep trying and you should be able to find people.

The main avenue is still the Yahoo Group at:

I sent you an e-mail from casdebs@verizon.net about potential gaming with my son and your group. Thanks!

Our local group continues to grow. We've been running mods at least twice a month at local area locations and game stores. If other's are intersted check the Yahoo! group or www.warhorn.net/pfs-dc for more details.

PFS has plenty of room, and we're always hoping for new players. The Venture-Captain of DC has moved north to Baltimore, so PFS presence has moved up there as well. DC still has a strong presence of course.

As before, we're still light on people in the MD side around and beyond the Beltway for PFS. If there's a good place to run scenarios, please let us know, and we'll try and setup something there.

Another place you might be able to find games is at Savage Mills. The Family Game Store is a place I used to play Heroclix at, and where I discovered Pathfinder back in 08 (and back when I lived in Greenbelt, MD).

You're posting in the PFS section of the website, and there's ALWAYS room at the Baltimore and DC area PFS games, so long as you sign up in time (first-come, first-served) on our various websites! The DC sites are above, the Baltimore MeetUp site is just getting set up.

If you're looking for a home campaign you're posting in the wrong section.

I'd be looking in Fairfax County. I'd rather not cross the Potomac, thank you. I'm convenient to the Game Parlor in Chantilly, if that matters. Anything for me ?

We've had several PFS games in Game Parlor lately, sign up for the Yahoo Group and the Warhorn site.

Sorry, I moved away. THEY'VE run several tables at Game Parlor recently, and are always looking for enthusiastic GMs...
