Stalkid raises his arms and locks eyes with the Bear. "We mean you no harm." He speaks in a calm, soothing monotone.

Stalkid stands stock-still as he stares wide-eyed at the Large bear. "I would rather avoid killing this creature...Jorn, perhaps you and I may be able to pacify the beast.

Stalkid had been gazing at the surrounding area, observing to make sure nothing else seemed out of place. At Liath's call he turns around and walks towards the body, stooping down close to the ground and searching around as he makes a nervous clicking sound.

I don't mind skipping forward, I don't have much anything to do besides sight seeing at some point in the future.

Stalkid had got himself a bit of bread and cheese with some wine to wash it all down. "It will take some time...hopefully not too long. I hate being bored."

Stalkid gazes excitedly around, happy to see his contribution going over so smoothly. He laughs and claps, applauding the group. "This will be exciting!"

"Why not Jusker?" Stalkid says suddenly. "He was right about the bird calls. He also seems to handle well in a fight." His eyes twinkle deviously, "Following an innocent seems fun, and I'm sure there are plenty of people willing to be paid for being part of the bandits, but I doubt it will end well for us. Jusker might not have as high a chance to be noticed - and if he is he was just your bodyguard, right Tiasar? So when the money runs out, he left for the bandits."

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

Stalkid quietly takes in the information before speaking, slowly and carefully as though the idea is forming as he says it.

"What if we...joined the bandits?" He giggles for a second as he hears the sound of it out loud. "I mean, not really - but if they keep getting away, it would be good to know how they do it, and no one knows how they do it except them. So if we were them then we would know how they get away and where they were getting away to." He takes a breath, having barely been able to get his thoughts out fast enough. He scratches his head, not quite knowing if he got his points across correctly.

Stalkid takes a look and laughs and claps at the performance - the game does look quite fun. He was about to have him and Tael jump in and join when Argus explains the situation. He sighs, the game ruined, and sets to thinking of ways to convince the man to stop.

"What if we were to help him beat the Giant? Not tear up the windmill or break it, just...win?" Stalkid says, hopefully.

Stalkid seemed to have not been paying attention as he helped himself to the food, seemingly unaware of how precious this offering truly was. "The bandits are entertaining." He says offhandedly as he works his way through a particularly succulent slice of meat. He tilts his head to one side and stifles a small laugh, "I'd do it even if you didn't ask." He continues to eat, happily swinging his legs and even humming an odd tune as he listens to the conversation.

Turning to Jorn Stalkid cocks his head to one side thoughtfully, "I knew that joining in with you would be interesting." He stifles a giggle before continueing, "It's too bad our companions will have to stay outside." He nods to both Tyr and Tael.

A particularly busy day at work and gameplay explodes...just my luck.

Stalkid had taken to sleeping in the barn with Tael, snuggling in under her wing. He runs in for a quick bit of breakfast and was just finishing his fruit when he received his letter. With a quick flash he read it's contents and had to stifle a laugh as he shoved the meats into his bag for Tael. With a wave of thanks to the Bartender, Stalkid runs off to the barn to feed Tael and tell her of their invitation.

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

"The large bird, yeah?" Stalkid gives a bit of a giggle; "Possibly..." He gets up, noticing he has around half a bottle of the wine left. He slides the wine to her and hands her a clean cup. "Good to see you made it back." With that he moves out to the front to check on Tael and make sure she isn't terrorizing the surrounding area.

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

Stalkid fidgets in his seat, as though he is quite nervous. He pours himself a large cup of the wine and downs it quickly before standing up. He swings around to the bartender, "Do-you-have-a-place-to-keep-animals?" he manages to blurt out, the words all jumbled.

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

Stalkid sips some of his drink and cocks his head to one side. "I had to leave." He shrugs his shoulders and laughs, "When you all helped me rid the goblins I knew that this path would be the most interesting."

Stalkid sits down with the rest of the group. Shifting ucomfortably on his seat he rummages in a pouch at his side. Finally he pulls out a gleaming golden coin. He gives it a quick bite to ensure its real before handing it off to a server.
He mumbles a bit in what seems an strange made up language before shaking his head with an odd rattling noise. "Spiced Wine. A bottle."

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

Sorry everyone, my tabs weren't updating - I'm not sure why, but I'm still here!

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

Tael jumps down from the ledge, landing next to Stalkid and chirping softly. Stalkid gives the wall a solid kick before fishing out a scrap of dried meat and tossing it at the large bird. She catches it with a satisfied snap of her beak before turning her head and staring at Stalkid's arm.

"Oh. Yeah..." Stalkid mutters, gingerly touching the streak of blood and wincing slightly. He fishes out a small, bright green leaf from his bag and holds it tight against his arm, muttering "Saol Bri". When he releases his grip the leaf is a dull brown/grey color and it disintegrates as the air touches it.

He looks up to Tael, "You're good." He pats her on the neck, and walks towards the carts.

"Are they gone?"He asks, no one in particular.

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

Stalkid stares at the guards failing just as miserably as himself to get up the walls. Reassured that it isn't just him doing so poorly he picks himself up and tries again.

Climb(DC 10): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (3) - 2 = 1

He seems to still be unable to find a handhold, and scrabbles helplessly along the wall. He breaths a sigh of defeat, useless.

Tael on the other hand is fighting the bandit valiantly, dodging arrow and blade both. She unleases another furious assault against the bandit.

Talon 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

She slashes across his face, and as the bandit reels back in pain she clamps savagely onto his arm.

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

Stalkid looks up at the wall, determined to get to the top and help Tael.
Standard action to climb the wall!
Climb check (DC 10): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Well alright, I didn't want to do much this combat anyhow...

Stalkid tries to scrabble up the wall but a brick comes loose causing him to fall back onto his backside. Although mostly unscathed - from the fall at least - his pride takes a serious blow. He screams out, his words dripping with scorn, "TAEL. KILL."
Tael Full-Attack, 2 Talons and 1 Bite

Bite Damge: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Tael tries her hardest to finish her fight and return to her master, but it is to no avail. The bandit deftly dodges her two talon slashes and in retaliation he receives a nasty nip to his shoulder.

Ah! Almost had it.

Stalkid feels the bolt slice his arm and gives a gasp of pain. His eyes widen a moment and he can feel his breath quicken. He takes a deep breath and moves to the Bandit who shot him B9. He whistles as he does and readies himself to defend as he awaits his help.

Hearing her master's call Tael leaps from the cart and flies behind the Bandit, trying to swipe at him.

She barley misses mauling the offender's arm.

I'm working under the assumption that Wood counts as plantlife

Stalkid points his scythe at the leader of the bandits and his eyes narrow behind his mask. He mutters something in Druidic and the scrawlings on his mask seem to glow for a second. The wood in front of the Bandits suddenly comes to life as tangled branches and vines spring forth and start to entrap them.

Casting Entangled against the 5 bandits to the front. It effects a 40 ft. area, so it should effect them all.

Tael comes to land on the cart next to Stalkid, keeping herself aboveground with a direct line on the bandits should Stalkid find himself in trouble.
Move Action to come next to Stalkid on the cart.

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

For simplicity's sake, are pets going on their master's turn?

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

I think the group (5 men?) near the front is "grouped together". I'm not sure how close but I think they are the best targets for Color Spray considering it's small range and AoE.

I'm not sure what we could do to make the most out of Adhesive Spittle, other than if anyone makes their saves.

As far as me, Entangle effects a 40ft. area and causes creatures that fail their saves to gain the entangled condition. The major downside is I would have to have the area effected have some plant life in it...and I have to say this place seems like it might be devoid of it. Alternatively I can Summon Nature's Ally 1...but there aren't like any "amazing" options to summon from.

Sleep is sleep...which is amazing...and hopefully can put down a few of those that are surrounding our carts.

Between these spells it'll put us at a distinct advantage even though they may have had the drop on us, but I definitely think we would need to open with them and not just some full-blown attack.

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

Although I'm not for surrender, I'm thinking maybe starting off with the sleep spell or the like would be a better move now that I've thought more on it.

I know this tunnle is dwarven built, but is it old and mossy, or are their at bunch of plant-life for decoration or anything? If there is enough plant life around the few to the front I have Entangle ready to go which could help us.

Does anyone else have some good control spells prepared?

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

Something tells me that between fighting and surrendering, fighting is going to be our better chance.

So I was thinking of having the Roc charge the bandit "leader" with the hopes of saving the driver he's currently threatening. Are there any adamant objections to starting off combat this way?

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

Tael makes six sharp clicking sounds, and Stalkid turns around to see where the bird is circling. Beneath the mask his eyes widen. He moves deftly to Jorn, careful to not spook the bandits. He tugs on his arm and whispers Druidic in his ear. "There are six to the rear. They do not plan to let us go."

Stalkid readies his Scythe, not seeing much plant life around to make use of his spells.

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Knowledge(Nature): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Stalkid is noticeably agitated by the grand tunnel. It's hard to tell whether he is more frightened by it or fascinated as he moves a careful semi circle around the opening, carefully drawing in all that he can see and giggling.

Stalkid suddenly stands stock still, catching the bit of movement to the top of the hill. He stares at it as his head cocks to one side, listening. Suddenly a shiver runs through his body and he makes a small nervous clicking sound. He calls out to the guards around him, "The hill! Movement!" and pointing out the spot he saw, before turning to Tael and giving a sharp whistle.

The large bird turns it's gaze to the sky and with a powerful beat of it's wings it leaps to the air above the caravan.
Tael Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Male Human Druid 1| AC: 16/12/14 | HP: 9/11 | F +4, R +2, W +6| CMB +0, CMD 12 | Init +4 | Perc +8

Stalkid softly whistles a sweet, somber tune as he plods along with the caravan. He has taken a position towards the rear, preferring to move along the side of the road where he can walk barefoot and feel the softer soil beneath his feet. He seems content to be slightly detached from the rest of the caravan, just out of reach, with Tael the Roc strutting proudly beside him as they walk; she seems to be disinterested in flying as long as the caravan continues to move at it's current pace.

Although uneased without the cover of the woods, Stalkid has found some sense of comfort with his mask secured tight, a rather crudely drawn face staring out instead of his own. A few guards have asked him to remove it, but he has adamantly refused, going almost as far as abandoning the caravan.

As he scans his surroundings, Stalkid notices that not many people are looking at him anymore, or at least not as much as they did just a short while back. To the few that he does happen to catch he gives a short wave.

Hello all

I'm looking forward to it!

This is GenThunderfist's submission, Stalkid of the Forest. A fairly straightforward Caster Druid. The aim is to work towards Battlefield Control and Light Support. The crunch is pretty sorted out, and I'll have a back-story added in in no time.
