Ulfgard moves forward and smacks the ugly creature with it hammer. By the time Anga hits it with her Magic Missile the first Marsh Giant Wight falls over dead. But it was already dead. It falls over lifeless. But it had already lost its life. If falls over and become motionless. That's it!

Round Two

Ulfgard feels himself starting to grow. He hesitates until he reaches full size.

A Large Fire Elemental that looks like molten steel appears and slams into the third Marsh Giant Wight.

Droja steps up and hits the same one with a ray of Searing Light.

Leira comments on the numbers of creatures she sees, then beomes invisible.

With the first one down, Ulfgard maneuvers around the Dragon Disciple to get to the second Marsh Giant. He pounds on the Wight.

Kaos hurls a fiery sheet of flames at the Marsh Giant Wights. The second one dodges the flames, but with the third on it didn't matter. It too falls.

Marsh Giant 2 Reflex Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Marsh Giant 3 Reflex Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

The second Marsh Giant Wight steps away from the Fire Elemental and attacks the large Dwarf. But the Wight was unable to penetrate Ulfgard's defenses.

Marsh Giant Wight 2 slam PA and VS: 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 12 - 2 = 192d6 + 12 + 4 ⇒ (4, 1) + 12 + 4 = 21

The fourth one moves up and misses the Fire Elemental.

Marsh Giant Wight 4 slam PA and VS: 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 12 - 2 = 132d6 + 12 + 4 ⇒ (1, 6) + 12 + 4 = 23

Five and six are still trying to figure out what is going on.

Anga hits as many as she can with an empowered Fireball. The second one falls. The fourth one takes the full brunt and it too falls.

Marsh Giant 2 Reflex Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Marsh Giant 4 Reflex Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Seeing all the nearest ones have fallen, Haskyll hits the sixth one with Holy Smite. It resists the attacks full effect.

Marsh Giant 6 Will Save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

Round Three

Round One Start

Ulfgard does go first. However, I will go ahead with the creature's actions. I can retcon actions if necessary. Ulfgard go ahead with both Round One and Two actions.

Ulfgard is amazingly heroic.

Droja will begin to ask for help.

Leira will work to make Ulfgard bigger. She looks at these creature and cannot determine exactly what she is looking at. They are a horror.

Ulfgard will not become Enlarged until Leira's actions in the second round.

Knowledge Religion DC20:
It will take a moment to fully understand what you are seeing. These are Marsh Giants that have become Wights. How this happened, you do not know.

The creatures hesitate trying to fully understand what has come upon them.

Creature's actions shift to below Kaos.

Kaos moves to attack the horrible creature. He tries to duck under the horror's attack. But the creature is able to attack the approaching Dragon Disciple. He almost strikes Kaos in a critical location.

Creature 1 slam AoO confirm crit: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 181d6 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16

Kaos takes 16 points of damage. In addition, he takes another 5 points of damage, takes a -1 on all ability checks including attack rolls, and is essentially one level lower.

Kaos does manage to ignore the blow and strike the creature.

The first creature's regular assault was unable to penetrate the Dragon Disciples defenses.

Round One for Ulfgard, Round Two for Everyone

I am going to move on.

When the party reaches the gnarled tree at Whitewillow they place the body of Lamatar Bayden before the tree. The wind picks up, storm clouds darken the skies, and the visage of Myrianna comes into view. Her appearance is horrifying, yet it is not difficult to see her once great beauty. She hovers over the body of her once lover. She cries out in pain and anguish at what has happened. How their love had been torn apart by the great evil that invaded her, her lover, and indeed the entire region.

But the brave adventurers have now defeated this evil that had been spawned in the region. A time of peace is about to begin that will be unequaled in the area's entire history.

Now Myrianna is no ordinary Nymph. She was far more powerful than most of her kind. And even in death, her power is great. She thanks the party for returning the body of Lamatar Bayden. She moves through and around the party.

She then lands on Devora Heidmarch. Her ghostly form surrounds Devora. Awed by what is happening, the Pathfinder just stands in wonderment. Myrianna gives a small piece of herself to Devora.

Devora receives the Nymph's Inspiration ability as a gift.

Myrianna then pours out all the rest of her existence into the body of Lamatar Bayden. And as Myrianna's soul begins to fade, Lamatar's soul, though he had been undead, begins to return to the body.

GM Screen:
Percentiles: 1d100 ⇒ 35

Lamatar's body shimmers then slowly fades away, but as quickly the shimmering returns. No longer is this Black Arrow Human, but becomes a Gnome, the dominant humanoid in this area. Consciousness returns to the once commander of Fort Rannick. His foul smelling clothes now way too big for his Gnome body.

Briefly, as this new form of Lamatar Bayden became conscious, he could see the shimmering form of Myrianna. Her ghostly lips touch the Gnome then her image fades. The Gnome reaches for the image, but it is gone. Lamatar Bayden starts to weep, but then quickly recovers. His stoic military discipline takes over. The Gnome stands and sees the party, "Who are you," he says. "What has happened?"

The undead takes another step back this time drawing out it bow. It begins to fire with precision arrows at the Cleric of Sarenrae.

composite longbow + PBS 1st shot: 1d20 + 16 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 16 + 1 = 351d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
composite longbow + PBS 2nd shot: 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 11 + 1 = 261d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
composite longbow + PBS 3rd shot: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 1 = 91d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Stone takes 18 points of damage. Your Spiritual Ally will get an AoO.

With the flying Stone Giant unconscious, the undead horror is all that remains....at the moment. It steps back then slams into the Hound Archon named Esai.

Undead slam: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 331d4 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 4 + (3) = 11

Esai takes 1 physical point of damage, plus loses 5 points for its energy level drain (6 total). Also, it is -1 to hit going forward. Caleb continues to be at -3.

The undead horror once again slams into Caleb.

Horror Slam: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 211d4 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 4 + (3) = 10

The attack was just enough to send Caleb back to Elysium.

Stone still has his Spiritual Ally's attacks in Round Nine, as well as Ten. Also, the Haste and Inspire Courage have both expired.

The undead horror continues its slam attack against Caleb.

Horror Slam: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 321d4 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 4 + (2) = 8

Caleb has more energy drained from its current existence in this world.

Caleb 22 (AC19 10/39) He also is at a -2 on his attack rolls for Round Nine, -1 for Round Eight.

Horror's Will Save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

The undead horror unaffected by the Hound Arhon's aura, slams into Caleb. Caleb feels drained from the attack.

Horror Slam: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 221d4 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 4 + (5) = 11

Caleb takes 11 damage from the attack, plus five from the energy drain. It is also -1 on attacks. (AC19 23/39) The undead's slam overcomes the Hound Archon's DR.

Energy Level Drain: For each negative level a creature has, it takes a cumulative –1 penalty on all ability checks, attack rolls, combat maneuver checks, Combat Maneuver Defense, saving throws, and skill checks. In addition, the creature reduces its current and total hit points by 5 for each negative level it possesses.

Something Horrible begins to move toward Stone, but as it does so, Stone's Spiritual Ally sees an opportunity to attack the horror as it passes.

This attack cause the horror to stop and try and engage the Spiritual Ally.

Yes. Stone's Spiritual Ally can take an Attack of Opportunity in addition to its normal Round Seven actions.

Flynn and Glistenwing will notice something horrible coming up from the stairs behind the party.

Everybody is up!
