250 Pathfinder games... wow! I think I'm about 200 shy of that. It's always a pleasure playing at your tables, and in fact my run of the Deepmarket Deception was the game that more or less defined how I GM my PbP tables, or at least how I try to. One of these days I hope to get you at one my my tables as a player, although until I'm a bit more settled into this daddy business I'm refraining from GMing for a bit. This whole party has been an awesome display of teamwork and characters, and I've thoroughly the game. Now let's rip up some Lissala-damned monsters until the timer runs out!

Saul moves forward, slipping past Caduceus and striking hard at the beast with his naginata. Move action to approach, trying to use Caduceus as cover for my approach. Not sure if that negates the AoO or not, but going for it regardless. As he thrusts his polearm forward, it glows with a radiant light. Swift Action: Using Faction card Annointed bonus to get the effects of 'bless weapon' for 1 round. Weapon is also a +4 weapon while raging, so may be redundant. Attack+Furious+Rage+Haste+Prayer: 1d20 + 14 + 2 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 14 + 2 + 4 + 1 + 1 = 33 Free action to use Moment of Greatness on the damage roll, doubling my strength bonus from raging. Damage+Furious+Rage+Moment of Greatness+Prayer+Sonic: 1d8 + 8 + 2 + 6 + 6 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 2 + 6 + 6 + 1 + (3) = 33 "Cayden's luck and Gorum's might guide my spear UP THAT STUPID SPIDER'S [Anatomical reference redacted for forum appropriateness]!!!" Will give a Saving Finale to the next failed save. Note that as soon as I use it, the fast healing ends.

Saul used his turn to activate his wand, stow it, and step into position. Note for everyone: You can decide each round if you are choosing to rage or not. You don't have to rage for the entire performance and it does not cause fatigue.
Half-Orc | HP 91/91 (+22 while raging), AC 20, FF 20*, T 12| Saves: F 10 (13), W 6 (9), R 4 (7) | Perception -1 (2) | Initiative +1
Saul raises his wand to the sky and a bright glow envelops the party. "It's an OUTRAGEOUS idea to taunt a god! ESPECIALLY during a fight! You hear that Lissala? WITNESS ME!" Casting Moment of Greatness. For 1 minute, you may double a morale bonus on a single die roll. Note: rage bonuses are morale bonuses, so if you'd like, you can double that +8 STR to +16 STR on a single roll (attack or damage, but not both). With that he stows the wand, leveling his polearm and prepares to join the melee. Standard to cast, move to stow, free to 5-ft into position to threaten? Currently I'm showing as on a roof. I suspect that is not correct. Current buffs I'm providing:

"Side by side let us slay these wretched foes!" Casting Virtuoso Performance to start Battlesong of the People's Revolt, granting everyone Amplify Rage. TLDR; If you are next to a raging ally, double your strength bonus for raging from +4 to +8.

"Hold your scroll friend, I've got you covered. You too Ariana. Oh and Sielan... Catch.". Saul tosses a rod his way, then pulls out a wand and holds it high. "Here's to death or glory!" Casting heroism on Aelwynd and Ariana, tossing a lesser metamagic rod of furious spell to Sielan. If anyone else needs it I have a few more slots, but that's the same slot as gallant Inspiration which you may be wanting later. Finally casting Moment of greatness on everyone with the wand which lasts 1 minute.
Half-Orc | HP 91/91 (+22 while raging), AC 20, FF 20*, T 12| Saves: F 10 (13), W 6 (9), R 4 (7) | Perception -1 (2) | Initiative +1
Are we still hasted? I think we were hasted by Sielan at the start of the chase for 10 rounds, not sure how many rounds lapsed at the end of the chase. I'm working under the assumption that we still are. If we are not, I'll recast it now and save my attack for next turn. Also Nachts, I don't know if it was intentional, but I just read that in Bruce Dickinson's voice... Saul grins as he moves up to flank with Nachts. Finally confident that his allies have the assassin on the ropes with no chance of escape he slashes at her with his naginata, keeping up the pressure. "Rally friends and fell these foes!" Attack + Flank + Bless + Haste: 1d20 + 18 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 18 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 42
Confirm?: 1d20 + 18 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 18 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 35

"All right... We cut through your guards like a hot blade through butter, caught up to you without much trouble... You're a not only despicable, you're also incompetent! Anyone else want to join in this [Censored]'s demise?" Letting raging song linger and casting Blistering invective Intimidate: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (20) + 21 = 41

All in! I'll go for double! Also remember your rage bonuses if you are raging. I'll maintain it for the chase. "STAND ASIDE CITIZENS OR YOU SHALL BE STOOD ASIDE!" Overrun: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 14 + 2 = 23
First person to fail a check, including me, gets a timely inspiration for an after the fact +2 bonus

Saul strikes once more at the nearby foe before moving himself out of the tentacles reach. Attack: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (19) + 18 = 37
Ariana, I don't believe we're hasted at the moment.

Saul looks at the positions of his foes and winces a bit as he comes to the obvious conclusion. He calls out, then leaps into the air, charging over the twisting tentacles. He drives his naginata hard at the caster, then lands in the writhing mass, bracing himself for the inevitable pain. "Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more!" Charge!: 1d20 + 18 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 18 + 2 = 31
Maintain rage, flying charge, then land in tentacles like a suicidal idiot.

Note, all raging allies also have fast healing 4. HP at start of this turn now 82/94 if my math is right. Fort (Raging): 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 10 + 2 = 15 Saul chokes on the toxic cloud, then lets out another warcry as he leaps, flying through the air and landing on the carpet running the length of the room. As he lands, the warcry raises in pitch until it goes inaudible altogether... too all except for the caster outside of the tentacles' grasp. Casting Ear-Piercing Scream on Red, Fort save DC 17 for half damage and no daze. Sonic Damage: 5d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6, 4, 5) = 22 Status

Isn't Combat Patrol a Full-Round? "To arms!" Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 Saul stands firm as the glass slices his face and arms. He yells out a warcry, inciting his allies to action. He moves forward, drawing his naginata as he advances. Raging song, move and draw weapon

Getting sleep, just that much of it is during the day when he opts to sleep. Getting used to everything still, but each day I feel more and more confident. Or at least I'm getting better at lying to myself about it. Either way works for me! Loving this party by the way. The scenario is amusing, and I'm having fun expressing my disgust towards Sheila whenever possible. Not every day I have an excuse to mouth off to a VC. Except for maybe Serpent's Rise...

"Well... That tonic of yours sure seemed useful Aelwynd. Now let's see why she insisted on haunting this place rather than departing like most dead folk. In with Sielan... I'd rather not ask Pharasma for a day pass just to find some coin." Saul will join in the search, looking for signs of unfinished work or a painful demise that may have resulted in this creature's creation.

"Bah! No clue what that is... but I've never had good experiences with ghostly foes..." He rushes around the corner, putting himself into place to provide tactical advantage for his allies as he lets out his warcry. "No mercy for those with no grave!" Move, Raging Song. Wielding a polearm to help with flanking. First person to fail a save is getting a saving finale.

Looks at Sielan's suggestion. Looks right! Also, Ariana can use her 1/rage flight to leap over everyone in her way probably. Not sure if that will be enough for Saul to get a good look at them, but if he can, here is a die roll. Knowledge (Local): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (9) + 17 = 26 He'll share relevant information if possible. Also, expect spotty posting at best for the next couple days. Bot as needed, Sielan can make decisions on my behalf. He knows this character very well.

Is it 550gp each or just 550gp total? If it's 550gp total just throw it all on mine. "Being a low-life for a day sure makes one work up an appetite... Hopefully Doctor Ernst is either serving a good meal or is evil enough that I can punch someone and feel good about it afterwards." Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10 Can't pass, rolling anyways! "Good evening Ms Makorios. A pleasure to meet you." He turns to Doctor Landis, "And my thanks for extending this invitation." Just gotta pay their going rate." Tallying up the total he shrugs. "Man... these guys work for cheap. I've spent more than that fixing a few infected bites." "What I believe my friend here is inferring is that your skills as an arbitrator are known, and... erm..." He looks over at Caduceus, then looks back at Aelwynd, then finally at Rinks. He sighs. "Mister Rinks, walk with me for a moment." Does anyone have a faction card goal of 'recruit someone like Dinks to your faction?' Now would be a great time to give it a try. In a hushed tone he begins to converse with Dinks. "Look... I'm.... ahem... aware of... erm... the existance of... and... um... location of... a pile of gold that was... erm... 'acquired' from the Aspis Consortium. Now I know you may consider this a question of trading one problem for another, but I'd be willing to bet that the sum in that stash along with whatever coin you already possess would be enough to clear your debts with Minvandu. I can't promise you that the snakes won't come searching for it in the future, but I can promise you that the snakes have enemies too. Square your debts for today, make friends with some powerful people who will be at odds with your debt collectors of tomorrow, then just lie low, keep out of sight, get some new work... by the wound... I'd be willing to deliver your payments to the bone-breakers on your behalf if it would make you feel better... the dirty coin need never touch your fingers." He slowly circles back to the rest of the group as he finishes his pitch. He smirks. "At the end of the day, our representative will likely be in dire need of a good arbitrator... and I do believe we've been authorized to make deals of this nature on her behalf. Mark your rates up 20% and I'll see if I can figure out how to sign an exclusivity deal... Never a cleric of Abadar around when you actually need one." Can I spend a point of prestige or 2 to knowingly enter into a somewhat lousy contract on behalf of Sheila Heidmarch without facing any major consequences?

Saul shakes his head, puts his hand on Nacht's shoulder, and pulls him aside. "Nachts... he's already scared so much I suspect his pants are soiled. He's in trouble, he needs help, we need help, and the pig metaphor is not helping." He pauses and then adds on in a mutter, likely loud enough for Rinks to hear. "As accurate as it may be." Turning back to Rinks he nods. "Well, allow me to introduce you to my compatriots who will be conducting these negotiations: Nacths and Caduceus. We have been informed that you owe a debt to those who would collect with and interest of flesh and blood. Be warned, in helping you we help ourselves, but at this point in failing to help you we also help ourselves. How you choose to conduct yourself from this moment forward will decide how you emerge from this unfortunate deal."

Saul smirks. "Well Mister Rinks. If I may make a suggestion, I'd highly recommend being... well... nowhere near the front door." He lifts his horn to his lips. "Allow me to play for you the song of my people." BRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMM Using Horn Call class ability to use my horn as a Horn of Blasting.
With that, Saul grabs whatever remains of the door and clears it aside, allowing for Chief Negotiator Caduceus to enter.

You have no idea how tempting it is to just use my Horn of Blasting on the front door... Saul lifts his horn and looks at Cauduceus. "Well? Your call." Saul could probably tear the door off of it's hinges with a Song of Strength, but the horn is flashy. And I never get an excuse to use it.

"Well Mister Rinks. We know who you are, we know where you are, and we can blow the hinges off of that door without breaking a sweat. Rest assured that we are not the only ones here with this information and these skills. Pray that the next who come to speak with you are just as forgiving... and pray that there is someone left in this world who will come to your aid when they do, because as of now it wont be us." Intimidate: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (18) + 21 = 39 Saul is content to leave with that and call this one a loss.

"Look... Mister Rinks. We are not leg-breakers but we've got no trouble breaking down doors. In fact it's kinda a specialty. But that's not why we're here. We know about your debts, we know about the bone-breakers, and we know of AT LEAST one bidder who would be happy to rat you out to them just to see you out of the way. If we know that you're here you can be sure that others do as well. If you'd be willing to discuss your trouble with us we're probably the best shot you have of making it out of free and clear... or at least with some modicum of protection. I strongly suspect that the bone-breakers would be making a... career limiting decision if they decided to move against us with violence." A social check of the GM's choosing: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (12) + 21 = 33

Saul opens his mouth to talk, then closes it again. He ponders for a bit, then opens his mouth again. He closes it one more as he tries hard to keep from spinning another tall tale. Finally he thinks of the perfect words for the situation and smiles. "He's right you know!" Auto aid another

"Perhaps we should give Caduceus an opportunity to speak with him in good faith and attempt to negotiate a reasonable settlement to clear the man's debts using the Aspis gold and/or our own, in exchange for leaving the bidding. I'm sure he'd jump at the opportunity to clear his debts sooner rather than later." Saul shrugs. "And if that fails, then perhaps we insinuate that we are aware of parties that would use his debt to Minvandu to force him out of the bidding in a much harsher manner." He shakes his head slowly back and forth. "...and failing that, well. I'd rather try our luck at the auction than sentence him to death by debtors. I'd sooner put up Heidmarch's disappointment than know I was a part of that. I've got no bone to pick with Dymal. Plenty of bones to pick with the Aspis... but none with Dymal." He thinks for a moment before adding. "Of course half of the time I say that about someone they try to stab me. THEN I have a bone to pick..."

"Well... I guess if we're going to go with the straightforward route we'll need some of you to act as bone-breakers, and one of us to 'tip him off.' Nachts and Aelwynd certainly have the imposing demeanor. Sielan and Ariana don't even have to try to act... I mean look at them! Armed to the TEETH!"
Half-Orc | HP 91/91 (+22 while raging), AC 20, FF 20*, T 12| Saves: F 10 (13), W 6 (9), R 4 (7) | Perception -1 (2) | Initiative +1
Saul nods an then heads off with his compatriots. "Well, I guess the simplest solution is to... well... lie through our teeth until he scrams. Have a couple of us pretend to be bone-breakers and close in on him, one of us tips him off and convinces him to book it." He smirks. "Alternatively, if he's interested in taking stolen Aspis gold but nervous about 'trading one problem for another' as she put it, we could convince him that Sheila Heidmarch has no love for the Aspis Consortium, and would gladly provide protection should they find out where their coin ended up. As we are working on her behalf she may be forced to own up to the problem afterwards." He pauses, then looks over at Caduceus. "Any ideas? You know me... my specialty is spinning tales. I make mountains out of molehills, split hairs, and make hay while the sun shines. Probably not your area of expertise. As much as I enjoy a bit of chicanery, this Venture Captain is really grinding my gears." He puts his hand on the haft of an adamantine greataxe protruding from his pack. "And I know something about grinding gearsmen..." He shrugs. "If you've got a good way out of this please share. I am, after all, a Silver Crusader, and all of this deceit for what seems like a less than stellar cause does make me feel a little more impish than is likely healthy."
