I want to apologize to you folks for disappearing like that. That is not normally the way I behave. Besides witch I was having fun and enjoying the romp against the badguys.
The reason (not an excuse) was that I got completely hacked. All of my public accounts were screwed up. Offensive emails were sent to all my contacts. Information stolen. Business relationships were strained. Etc… By the time I got most of that straightened out and repaired, I just couldn't bare the thought of spending more time online just for the fun of it.
Again, I'm sorry for leaving you in the lurch like that. It is not typical behavior for me.

Sorry for the delay, been a rough few days.

Finally able to throw off the effects of the toxin contact, Skutene begins to move. Vines spring forth from his hands and wrap about the legs of the dread ghoul that has been gnawing on him. He screams, Father Newtide has bells on his shoes so you can't hear him coming!

He then attempts to roll away from the vile thing.

Probably just easier to say 'no' on it. No real way to know if I had a hand open or if I fell facing a direction to see an enemy in range.

shrug. it was worth checking on.

@Skutene, SLAs are spell-like abilities, not spells, therefore there are neither material, nor verbal, nor somatic components, provided you do not need them for the ability to make sense, e.g. if you have to touch something to use the ability on it, then you have to move to touch the thing, and can therefore not cast it while paralyzed, etc.

sound fair?

Sounds perfectly fair to me. So how would you rule on this one?

Tanglevine (Sp):

At 1st level, as a standard action, you can create a 15-foot-long, animated vine that springs from your hand. This vine lasts for 1 round and can be used to make a single disarm, steal, or trip combat maneuver, using your sorcerer level plus your Charisma modifier in place of your normal CMB. You can use this power a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

Can I use this while I'm still paralyzed? My first guess would be 'no' since it says they spring from the hands, but thought I'd check.

Folks, I had a minor adjustment on my spells known due to an error on my part. I worked it out with the GM. I do not have adhesive spittle or windy escape. I do have wave shield. Should make no real difference on how I play the character.

GM, another question. SLA's -
Some GM's have ruled they have no somatic, verbal, or material components therefore they could be used while paralyzed and conscious.

Some GM's have ruled they have no somatic, verbal, or material components yet still can NOT be used if paralyzed.

Some GM's have ruled they DO have somatic, verbal, or material components therefore they obviously can't be used while paralyzed.

What is your ruling? (I'm fine either way, just want to know.)

Sorc isn't close to a knowledge monkey, but we'll give it a go. If they really are undead, that is usually knowledge religion.
.
What do I remember about these things...
knowledge arcana: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
knowledge dungeoneering: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

I assumed Rog had moved before me. If he hasn't, I would like to change the spell cast. If I recall the map correctly, I could get both of the south undead in the area of an entangle spell (same DC) and then Rog could charge the one to the west.
.
Edit: Also, I need to check my build when I get home. I think I may have to many spells for a cross blooded sorc.

They still get the spell slots though, so they have to make do by either preparing lower level spells into the 2nd level spell slot, or metamagic-ing the lower level spells.

Preparing being entirely the wrong word notwithstanding, Void points out the single biggest, most glaring problem crossblooded sorcerers face. The -10% on Will saves is a whatever. Effectively delaying new spell accrual by an additional entire level compared to their peers means a crossblooded sorcerer is now an entire spell level behind a wizard, which is pretty much never worth the benefits crossblooded grants.

...

I actually see the -2 to will saves to be worse. A "-10%" is a bit of a mis-representation. it is only a -10% if you rolled a 20. If you roll a 13, it is a -15%. But even that is misleading, because a percent loss is meaningless. Unlike a damage roll, it only makes a difference if you fail the save. Yes it is your good save, but wisdom rarely gest a priority for sorcs. Some even consider it a dump stat. So a -2 on top of a -1 or -2 begins to look like you will fail the save more often than make it. Can be worse than the fighter or rogue for whom it is a bad save. I've seen a few crossblooded blaster sorcs that seem to blast their allies as often as the enemy. (It's not really that often, but it feels like it because it is so devastating when it happens.)

I can and usually do get a few pages of spell knowledge. Most sorcs do have at least 1 meta-magic feat that they were planning to use a lot anyway.

That's a fair point. I guess the irony is that by crossing bloodlines you pretty well create one trick ponies. Or closer to it. I usually like my PCs being more along the lines of a generalist.

But sometimes a one-trick pony is fun. Especially if you can find some imaginative way out of a fix where your bag of tricks are wanting!

Well you don't have to be a one trick pony, but it does definitely hurt your versatility.

It is generally an option for people that want to go with a theme anyway.

Generalist is very tough for sorc anyway. Arcanist would be a better choice.

To the other players:

It would not be unreasonable for family members raised together to have teamwork feats in common. Some of them can be good for almost any build. Shake it off and lookout come immediately to mind. But some of the others could also be good.

If anyone is interested, I am open to the possibility of some teamwork feats. But if no one is interested, that is fine too.

Pitborn will work for me.
d00 variant abilities: 1d100 ⇒ 75 let me know if you don't like this option
75 yields 'sonic resist 5'

Do we have a family religion/deity?

hp: 6d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 3, 5, 6, 6) = 26

GM questions.
1) It is pretty powerful, but would you allow the Finding Haleen trait from Legacy of Fire? It does fit family members pretty well.
2) Did you agree to using a drawback and it giving an extra trait?
