Skarr is probably out in the water, within a few hundred feet of the old docks. He may be alone or with helper or employer, but he's diving for salvage. When the sun is an hour or two until dark, he comes in and calls it a day. There is usually a communal meal at the flophouse consisting of fresh daily catch, and produce.with bread or rice if available. There are presently a handful of folks staying there. After dinner, folks go off to do their thing.
Being the overprotective sort, Skarr can't help but interpose himself (see character drawback). Knowing full well the Queen of the Razor Coast does not need his protection, he simply cannot deny his nature. Let's all skimmer down... Give the Lady time to consider. Our chance to serve and die will come soon enough.
OK, think I'm pretty much done... Just mundane gear left. And, pulling together the snippets of "story/background" for the profile. If anyone would care to review and comment on the build, I'd appreciate it... I may have missed something. Always open to suggestions. If I don't use them now, maybe as the character develops. Danke! Sincerely,

Skarr sprints towards the ship's rail, hurtling himself across the gap to the attacking vessel. His powerful legs churn the air as a hail of bullets from behind clears the way. Landing with a thud, 400 pounds of reptile and steel tumble through the enemy line. The stuff of nightmares.
@The Silver Prince - What flavor is your character culture-wise? Classical Greek? If so, perhaps a spear (close to staff) with a sword as second. The scythe seems out of place with a lot of reaper motif. I know it fits the character, mask and all. But, I'm a 7 foot tall lizardman, so who am I to talk? So, my vote given the options presented is... Staff. Later, magically enhanced... a blade could spring out and transform it into a Scythe. As a free/swift action. Possibly a physical reminder (evidence) of an evolution of character.
Change name a bit, easier on the typing and possessive. Thinking Skarr partnered up with a female who is the brains of the duo (also socially ostracized/marginalized but skilled). He helped her run some trouble off. And he joined her Surplus and Salvage business, he was a natural at maritime salvage. It's what he does when he's not hired on with a ship's crew. Times have been lean for salvage, so the establishment has sectioned some space and doubles as a dosshouse/flophouse. Rent is low and can be worked off. And, of course any tenents fall under the protection of Skarr Moonskimmer, no small boon for any being victimized. Though understated verbally, Skarr is in demand as a free agent/mercenary crewman. His loyalty unquestioned, leaving no man or woman behind where others might cut & run. The criminal element leaves him alone, knowing his ethical leanings.
Mythic sounds totally bodacious and awesome! I'm all in! @GM Queen - If you could keep the slave/slavers thing in mind, that would be satisfying. Feels good to do good. But, I think I'm gonna need the feat "mechanically" elsewhere. Hope you don't think less of me. Matters what you think... even after recruitment. Are HP max all the way, or max 1st, then something else?
When should our final post be in by? Also, would there be room in the story for the Liberator Story Feat? Linkified >>> Liberator (story) Backstory has disappearances later discovered to be individuals taken for their reptilian hide or as slaves. Thinking he pays for info regarding Lizardfolk/Crocmen slaves, either buying their freedom or for the purposes of this feat, forcibly liberates them. It's not a must have, and it will be his drive regardless. I can't decide if imposing a mechanic helps in this case.
@GM Queen - Would a Barbarian with the Ghost Rager (Su) rage power be able to Sneak Attack incorporeal creatures? The power allows them to do "normal damage" much like a ghost touch weapon. Ghost Touch weapons also allow sneak attack damage. Just applying Aristotelian logic, wondering how you see it. Looking for a peripheral connection to the spirit/otherworld. With Superstitious & Ghost Rager. Bad juju.
And here I was worried about making it to 5th level... Done. Improved Uncanny Dodge, here I come! Wading through the unsavory hoards! That's right, don't like how they taste... The fear makes'em game-y. If you're deaf, isn't there a verbal component issue, where spells can fail? Vague memory. More character details later. Good luck, everyone!
If you're asking me, by my vague definition, yes. Basically "powers" not mundane. I understand why, especially with the gestalt thing going on. Old school fighter/magic-user, from way back. I just decided to keep it simple build-wise and focus on combatant melee/range weapon tactics. Purest heart, starkest warrior sorta thing. NG by the way. Unquestioned loyalty, support the team, parley between shock trooper and brutal assassin as needs arise. "What do you mean we're outnumbered? Wait'll they get a load a me..."
Gerard here! Lizardfolk - Barbarian/Rogue (Scout) 4 STR - 18
Losing his innocence after being forced to slay a tribal elder, S'kar went into self exile to understand what drives a being to sell their own kind. This thing called "evil". One day, he would return with answers. |
