No, it was great as we went to the Station, an open court restaurant.
Since it was during work-time and an hour drive away, we did a bit of networking with our local associates and basically spent the entire day there.

'Yes, keep near the others. They have their trap ready...' James thinks then as the bright illumination enhances the area , he knows his place. The warlock sticks to the shadows out of sight. Calling upon his connection to the zombies, he tries to make it's head explode or at least the eyes temporarily lose their focus, however he is distracted. He flits into the darkness out of sight of the dark skeletal mangler. 'He is my next target?...Good something tasty then.' Minor: Curse Z3 & Z4
Did the zone burn up S1 & S2?

"Incoming horde of bones! I don't think I'm much good at swarm of undead, only individuals" he calls out from the shadows that flicker around him. Guessing but not knowing much about these particular enemies. The final gem upon his hat twinkles with the zombies soul, cutting through the murk. Religion (Skeletal Swarm): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
James rushes down the steps past the others, feeling the dark tug of the undead. "Let's not get too bunched up..." the impetuous man says before his form slips into the shadows and he unleashes a blast of darkness and spite at the unintelligent zombie. Minor: Curse M2 & Z2

"We need to get through that gate, I wouldn't fancy taking anything other than the path to the Necromanteion. Our host will surely have booby-trapped the way, letting only visitors along the path haveany chance of survival." James responds to Lanthair. "We could see if there is any other entrance, by walking around the perimeter of the wall?" he queries. James has carefully avoided naming the place, it's creator or whom they have come to see.
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
"You may be point, but I'll flank." James whispers to the paladin, knowing that he works best moving fast and close to the enemy. But then again he know he's best when he's in danger. He prepares to follow Raya's instructions and Arishats tactical acumen. Religion (Large Zombie): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33
One of these days I'll play a non-impetuous/reckless character. :P EDIT: Is that a waste of rolls, or a sign of things to come?
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
Annoyingly James is quite good if either he or the target are bloodied. +1 to hit (hence why he's not asking for a short rest) Down the winding stairs they walk, the darkness and unnatural environs cause James to recollect the horror tales his brother used to scare him with before they went to bed. 'Valentino, I hope you are safe.'
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
He was meant to be a bit more Gothy introvert with a dark past. But seems like that is outside my wheel-house for pbp. Therefore bring on the soap opera! Will it turn out Thom is my long lost half-brother? Arishat discovers.... It's at this point I realise I don't watch enough Coronation Street, Days of our Lives, etc...
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
I'll do mine tonight after boardgames. But being around these lovely ladies has made James more courteous and charming. Cha boost. I might retrain Demonspiral Web, as immobilising someone who hits you after they have attacked and only until James' turn isn't too useful in this format. James continues down the steps with a slight more swagger, however he still feels cautious.
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
James looks to the others, their stoic resolves and grits his teeth to do the same as he moves across the landing. The strange mists, form an apprehensive knot in his stomach. There could be anything in the mists! However he gets to the otherside, Raya guarding his rear. Relief floods across his features, then he realises that he is still on Pluton. Endurance: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
The chill bites into him, but fortunately the blades have not seemed to react to his presence. "Steady." he says, so distracted is he by the atmosphere that he isn't even watching the way Raya moves in her plate armour...well not too much. Initiative: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
James smiles to the steel-clad paladins as she moves past him; "It still seems to bite, even with our essence disrupted. Though if something hides in here...?" He walks forward to match her pace, inuring his mind against the evil that permeates the land and the mists. His cane making a hollow tap-tapping on the stone, where it's lost in the mists. Do we need initiative? And if we need an Endurance check? Endurance: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13 - FAIL! Damage: 2d10 ⇒ (9, 9) = 18

"Wise words, mine are but wane in comparison. So do we need to take some precautions, tie ourselves together - just in case one falls?" James swallows; "I can turn myself into a shadow, walk in this and the shadow plane. Become insubstantial, though my actions are limited." he reveals.
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
"I thank you for your kind words, though I know not how to kill it..." James looks to the holy warrior; "Your heart is as big as you're honourable." 'To harm it I have to join my essences to it's soul.' his eyes widen at the thought, but he resolves himself to stand and fall by his comrades.
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
Apprehension tears into his gut much as the cloud is moments away from, 'I was hoping to leave this place.' "How do we get around it? Is there some ritual, or protection. I don't think the death-God would have any such safe-guard though. We cannot simply run through it." he tries to mask the nervousness to his voice.
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
Cautiously tapping his way down the stairs his eyes look to the red mist. His memories go to the various stories and tales of a red mist; "Mist that steals memories. Blood sucking mist with star-vampires inside. There are many stories, but which is native to Pluton?" Religion: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30 "We need to get through it fast." James says simplistically.
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
James keeps an eye upon the stairway; although they might be attacked by gargoyles from the sky or wraith's coming through the ground. James looks to Thom and tries to recollect some of the random little facts he picked up whilst on the road; about the best way to craft such ritual for a large group. Arcana Roll: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26 Now, my dice have been on fire the past few days...

A dashing warlock can dream, plus there is another lovely lady and some handsome Gents. Through the Looking-Glass: He reaches inside his bag of holding to retrieve a torch. In the bitter cold he tries to light it, again the flint doesn't catch. Getting slightly frustrated it finally burns after the application of oil.

Portal-ites: "Because we bring the hot-ness with us." he says wryly refering to the ladies. Then realises if they went somewhere hotter then clothes may be shed; thus rues climate agreeing with the Tiefling.
"Mmm...aybe, this meanssss t..t..that they'llll be vulnerable to heattt...." his teeth stand to chatter.

DM, Thom & Raya: He pushes his top hat back over his face slight; "T...That'ddddd.....bbe... much appppreciated." James replies realising that perhaps he should have favoured substance over style. But at least he doesn't have any metal armour. James thinks about lighting a cigarette, but it'd do not good to warm him.
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
James quirks an eyebrow in disbelief at the talking sword. 'Ho-ho, I would suspect that only someone so pure of heart could not be corrupted by a dark-blade like that.' "I thank you for your kindness; assisting us in such a manner." James says smoothly as he moves to the back of the shop, squinting his eyes to let the adjust quicker in case of ambush. His cane taps before him, ensuring the ground is solid and of his gentlemanly air. Moving quickly towards the back room, as a slight chill curls up his spine before he suppresses it. He knows, or at least believes, that this will keep his brother safe from the 'Secret One'. He looks around the room, waiting for Lu's instructions.
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
James waves goodbye to Hester for a second time, though on this occasion he gives her a small hug. A cold sensation grips his heart as if he will never return to this place, he pushes it away with a smile. As the group leave his abode, their serious attire not drawing too much attention from the various multitudes that live in the vast Metropolis of Sigil. "They have seen stranger, I suppose." James quips as they move towards Lu's tobacconists.
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
"Precisely, we are all looking good. Rested, relaxed and well fed; let's be off to Lu's. We don't need to pick anything up?" James says confidently, as he brushes a stray lock of hair from his fore-head. His hand lingering slightly over where Vecna had placed his mark.
91/111hp Dark Reckoner Warlock
"Everything seems to fit perfectly, to my eyes at least." James winks to Raya. Having fitted all his alchemical items in his bag of holding. Unfortunately James holds his Pact blade in his off hand; so that if any body hit him in melee they take 2HP damage. I also have lots of alchemical items. Temp HP: 1d8 ⇒ 3
