I am sorry to say that I am going to have to absent myself from the boards for awhile. Some real life things have come up, and I can't take the time to play or run any games. Sorry to let you all down like this. I have enjoyed playing with you all and hope my leaving won't be too much of an inconvenience. To those of you in my Skull and Shackles game I can't tell you how sorry I am to disappear on you all like this. I said I would finish at least the first book of the AP but it just isn't possible right now.

Sion continues his steady trot towards the saxons.

Okay I have the feat ride by attack but I am unsure if I can use it in this situation. If I charge the line and attack with my lance can pass through the line and continue a short way. Or does them standing in a line like that prevent me from doing that.

Sion throws Rhianwen into the air and whistles sharply at the falcon. She obediantly begins circling the battle feild gaining height and waiting for futher commands from her master. Sion settles his sheild on his left arm and takes a good grip on his lance. He starts Pwyll moving forward at a slow trot with a slight squeeze of his knees.

"Stay together. They have numbers on thier side, if we get seperated they will swarm us one by one."

I don't know pulling a sword out of a stone doesn't seem it would be that hard. We should find the man that shoved the sword in there and make him king. Can you imagine how strong you would have to be to shove a sword into a stone? Anyway we are supposed to be patroling the county until the Earls Winter court. After that we can go to London to see this sword if you want. Sion replies Who knows maybe you will be able to pull it out Bran. Then you could be king. he laughs and throws a twig at Bran.

This is what I get for playing a class I am unfamiliar with. I should have put more points into wisdom so I could make use of the ranger spells. I am going to go with another level of ranger and start actually using my falcon in combat from now on.

Edward I think we should focus on defeating the bandits since we can't move the prisoners.

Seeing Sir Jaradan slump into unconciousness Sion curses and turns back to the older knight. He rolls him of the guard and then ducks back outside. "Edward! Sir Jaradan and the others are badly hurt. They cannot be moved." He calls to the other young knight

Sion draws his sword and duck inside the hut where Sir Jaradan and the other prisoners are. He goes to Sir Jaradan side and cuts the mans bonds with his sword. "Quickly! Free your men." He tells the older knight then duck back out the door.

this is probably several rounds worth of actions but it seemed stupid to just put down one round at a time. Any response from the prisoners to my bursting in like this?

I would personally prefer to cut through the back wall if possible. you said it was sticks. I am assuming either woven together or lashed together. Probably couldn't cut through a woven wall without making a lot of noise, but a lashed together wall we could cut the cords holding it together and make an opening.

So the plan is for Edward and Sion to sneak back in and bring out Sir Jaradan and the others. While Bran and Raedwald standby armored and mounted to rescue us all if something goes wrong. If all goes well we wait until dawn then attack. If Sir Jaradan and the other member of his party that isn't sick are upto it they can join in the attack. Not sure how we would arm them though. Sir Jaradan could use Sion's armor, and sword possibly while Sion uses a bow. We suprise them at dawn and eliminate the three men first. Then hopefully we can get the women to surrender in order to protect their children.

We may want to make some concessions to the women. As it is they are under threat of exacution for banditry. We could reduce the sentance to enslavement or something like that. Let them keep their children and their lives.

What are your thoughts?

rescue the prisoners and then light the building they were in on fire. When they come to fight the fire attack the men with bows. We need to make use of the advantages we have. Our superior armor and our horses. Once the men are down getting the women to surrender will be easier.

Edward is fired as intell gatherer. Didn't even ask how many bad guys there were and what they were armed with.

Sion sticks close to Edward as they sneak up to the prisoners hut. While Edward speaks with Sir Jaradan Sion examines the wall of the hut to see if they will be able to cut through it to get to Sir Jaradan and the others.

Once behind the prisoner shed Sion tries to sneak up to the back wall of the building, hoping the entire time that none of the children running loose in the camp will come running around the back of the shed.

The plan I had in my head was to sneak around behind the prisoner shack. Cut through the back wall. Which shouldn't be too hard with the building being described as semi-permanent. then we see if we can free Sir Jaradan and his men. If we can't we find out exactly how many there are from Sir Jaradan. There are definatly more than three if they were able capture Sir Jaradan and his men.
