Female Vishkanya Bard (Archaeologist)

Sinde'Sithuan pauses from drawing her bow and puts out a hand for Taurfein to hold his weapons. "Xundus...? Ah, right I remember! You saved my skin that day. Looks like I owe you another one. She speaks perfectly fluent Undercommon, with a slight accent most noticeable on her 'S's, which are drawn out in a subtle hissing sound.

"The name's Sinde'Sithuan." She dips a short curtsy with a smirk to Archae, mocking the formality and the strange circumstances of their meeting. "My fugitive friend here is Taurfein. Thanks again for getting them off our backs." She nods to the two Drow on the ground. "I don't know about 'cave crawlers,' but I'm sure there's plenty of beasts in these tunnels that wouldn't hesitate to make us their next meal. Not to mention any other taskmasters that might be on our trail looking to bring us back. Getting a move on sounds like a good idea."

Female Vishkanya Bard (Archaeologist)

Sinde is also in the Drow city of Erelhei-Cinlu, specifically the slums, although she could be anywhere in the city & hand waving her escape & putting her wherever you'd like is fine as well.

Female Vishkanya Bard (Archaeologist)

You should move on ahead as you're able; it's more efficient for us to catch up to you at this point than it is for you to wait on each of us. We need you to start things either way before we can move ahead. I sent messages to the other 2 again, but we do have a solid damage-dealing party between the three of us here, just a little light on the front lines (they'll probably pop in soon in any case).

Female Vishkanya Bard (Archaeologist)

Sounds good to me, Taurfein. Glad we're all present!

GM TPK, can we get an opening/setting to make our introduction posts? Or maybe give us some sort of loose schedule if we're gonna be plodding along here at the beginning, just to have an idea of how things'll be progressing?

Female Vishkanya Bard (Archaeologist)

Just noting I swapped Expeditious Retreat for Grease (Lv1), & Daze for Prestidigitation (Lv0) in spells known. Also using spears in place of the punching daggers for equipment (same cost, but better damage, & all Sinde's weapons now have a range increment).

While we wait for Arrack & Grani to check in and you're getting things together, I also just want to reiterate the request I made in recruitment:

Given Sinde's underdark origins, can I take Darkvision in place of the Vishkanya Weapon Familiarity racial trait? They're both 2 RP in Pathfinder.

I sent Arrack & Grani PMs with a link to the thread here. Idk if Grani is still planning to play, though, as the alias he originally made for this game is gone/changed.

FYI to the rest of the party - I won't have PBS & Precise Shot until I dip a level of fighter at level 3 (planning a total of 2 fighter levels for feats, at character levels 3 & 4). But I can stagger mofos & put them to sleep with poison ;)

Dot.

Female Vishkanya Bard (Archaeologist)

Woot! Thanks GM TPK!

Understandable, thanks for the heads up :) I imagine we'll have a slow start overall as we're beginning near the holidays. Thanks again for running the two campaigns GM TPK. If you would, please throw us a link when you get the Underdark thread set up.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the States!

Okay then. Thanks also to Sinde'Sithuan!

I had half of it done when I saw sentaiexpress' post in review. It feels less like wasted effort now.

Just to clarify, I wasn't going to include Grani's ranger on the list, except he made an alias, & it appears to be his first go at PbP.

Counting the incomplete submission, that's 11 total, for a convenient split of 5 & 6 for each party. As you said, just moving those unspecified to the Underdark would work. Actually makes for a fairly balanced party.

Ninja'd by... a ninja? Fair enough. Anyway, I've got the same, except I have Mooshybooshy's doom-sayer & Archae's shadow wizard under unspecified/either. I think they each ultimately committed more to "I'm good for either" than "I want that one."

Also, I wasn't able to find anything other than the rolled ability scores for Grani's ranger, but he does have an alias, and it appears to be his first PbP submission.

Underdark Campaign:
Daniel Stewart - Xundus Yril'Lysaen - Drow Magus (Bladebound) Melee/Arcane Caster.
HotLanta - Sinde'sithuan - Vishkanya Bard (Archaelogist) Archer/Rogue/Support.

Death of a God Campaign:
Reggie Two-Fist - Human Brawler Melee.
sentaiexpress - Kuzu Koryo - Kitsune Rogue (Kitsune Trickster) Rogue.
pippinTook - Mao Phan - Vishkanya Rakshasa-Blooded Sorcerer Arcane Caster.
Threeshades - Jamira Sunblade - Ifrit Fighter (Lore Warden) (Martial Master) Melee/Library.
ImperialSunlight - Gerulf Vescovi - Lawbringer (Archon-Blooded Aasimar) Cleric Divine Caster

Unspecified/Either Campaign:
Thecooldudenextdoor - Arrack Stormbreaker - Human Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) Melee.
Archae - Archae-Nym - Elf Shadow Wizard Arcane Caster.
DM Mooshybooshy - Felstad - Human Oracle of Apocalypse Divine Caster/Support.

Incomplete:
Grani - Lysander Anatril - Half-Elf Ranger (Wild Stalker) Melee?

@ Sinde: I suppose you arrived in the city with the "swell" of new comers after the battle with Ust Natha? Xundus might have met you while enduring his training among the "slave troops". I envision him commanding a troop of orcs who sweep the slums for trouble makers and undesirables. Perhaps he helped you out of a jam, and have cultivated your friendship as a possible ally when he decides to escape his family. What do you think?

That's what I was thinking. I'm not sure about all the timelines, but since the whole thing started almost a century ago, it's likely Sinde's parents or grandparents were the ones that came in originally with the flood of new residents. Sinde herself is not much over 20 years old, if that. But I like the run-in while Xundus is on patrol. Say she was on the run from some hobgoblins or something & she ran into Xundus & his orcs, who helped her out after seeing that she could make a useful contact for the future.

EDIT: You should put some more indentation in your backstory, Daniel. It'd make it a lot easier to read :)

Sinde is much inspired by the Dornish Prince Oberyn's bastard daughters, the Sand Snakes, from GRR Martin's Song of Ice & Fire.

GoT Season 5 Spoiler:
Think the scene where Tyene poisons & seductively bullies Bronn in the cells (after he & Jamie failed to kidnap Marcella).

If Sinde'Sithuan had a bite attack, she could swift action apply poison with her saliva, and literally stagger you with a kiss.

I swapped Diplomacy to Intimidate; changed Profession (courtesan) to Craft (traps), & Perform (dance) to Perform (oratory) to better fit Sinde's slum-tastic Underdark origins & archaeological interests.

GM TPK; might it be possible, given Sinde's origins in the Underdark, to swap her Weapon Familiarity racial trait (blowgun, kukri, shuriken) for Darkvision 60ft? They're both 2 RP in Pathfinder's race point system (I had planned on her using the kukri as her backup melee weapon, and likely would've picked up some shurikens).

@Myza, I would advise coming up with something of a backstory without too much delay, as GM TPK said that would be part of the deciding factor, and has given something of a deadline now without the details you're waiting for.

personally, I think Mao would do best in the underdark game to avoid the possible double up of brawlers in the death of a god game. increase the chances of selection for each.

I was going to put my submission under Death of a God, as I would like to play either, and it would even the submissions out more, but it wouldn't be fair to switch last minute after tallying up each campaign's submissions, and I didn't want to conflict with Kuzu.

Kitsune Trickster gives up trapfinding/trapsense for Int mod to certain skills & spell-like abilities. Archaeologist narrows bardic performance to a personal luck bonus and trades it's own increased skill utility for trapfinding/trapsense.

Edit: That's why I went Archaeologist instead of the Vishkanya Rogue racial archetype Deadly Courtesan, which trades trapfinding for some bardic performance. Actually very similar, & still rogue-like, just flavored differently.

With that, and the strange similarities between the equally charismatic, nimble, and similarly animalistic Kitsune & Vishkanya (they're myths from different cultures translated into similar Pathfinder mechanics with different flavors), Suzu & Sinde would probably make a really good pair. Damn.. they've even got that alliteration.

Still, I've got a hankering for an Underdark campaign now, first & foremost. I think most folks said they would go for either campaign, but GM TPK did ask for a vote, or preference, with each submission.

For the record, Myza here is a arcane caster, and could fit into either. However, I am still waiting for actual story bits from TPK before I write up her backstory. However, now is the time to determine gold for her.

My bad. I see you're geared up with plenty Knowledge as well. I feel you on wanting a bit more of a setting to build a believable backstory into. Xundus' & Sinde's backstories put them in the same Drow city, if you wanted to build a story starting there as well.

Generally speaking, as a Half-Drow, Myza would sit fairly low in their gender/race caste system, even if she were born into a noble family. Females are above males in all races, but Drow of any kind are above all else. In that regard, Myza could feasibly have ties to Xundus and/or Sinde, and would actually serve as a good bridge between the two otherwise disparate social realms, if you wanted to go that route.

The more of us chosen in the same starting location the easier it'll be for GM TPK to make his hook. Just sayin' ;)

'Lanta here with a Vishkanya Bard (Archaeologist). Focusing on archery, while being able to scout, detect & disarm traps, handle diplomatic interactions, and do some buffing. DPS Skillmonkey. I noticed no one made much of a healer yet, so I'll be able to do a bit of back-up healing as well (I recently started another campaign as an Oracle of Life dedicated healer, so I'd rather avoid picking up the whole schtick here).

Primarily interested in the Underdark campaign, but I'm not opposed to Death of a God. Basic crunch in the alias, not quite done & I gotta add some gear and write up a backstory. I have two backstories in progress in a word doc, depending on where/how the campaign is actually starting.

Just like to second (fourth?) the request for more details on the campaign when you have the time, GM - are we starting above the surface? In the Underdark? Also, I feel I should point out (since no one else has) that Daniel Stewart's Drow Noble is stronger, racially, than the debatable Drider. So that should probably be addressed one way or another as well to maintain balance. That said, Dan, one of the backstories I'm writing is designed to work with yours.

Starting Gold: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 2) = 6 x 10 = half the gorram average -.-

Any chance I could own a bar, or at the very least have bartender as a profession

Put ranks into Profession (Innkeeper) with your background skills. The value of a physical bar or storefront is well beyond our starting gold, but that's not to say you didn't have one.

Back with more tomorrow :)

Gotcha. There's a bunch of cool shit under the dragon type on the monster types page. I'll ignore that. NG Wyvaran (Ancient Guardian) Druid/(Unchained Flowing) Monk coming soon. She's a slippery one.
