Hey folks. I've been wiped with a cold... then felt rough today. Now I'm awaiting a covid-19 test. I hope to catch up again soon.
"Lord, thank you.", Siegen replies. He turns to face his companions. "Let us avail of the Count's hospitality. A well-earned respite."
Just caught up. Apologies for the delay!
"Lord, Sigfried has the right of it. This was more than a simple raid. There was a plan. In addition, our companion Ziyad has disappeared."
Siegen realises that he cannot catch the wolfmaster. He snorts, not wasting any more breath on the arrogant creature. He then says: "There is still the windmill before us. Let us search there."

Just a note. My rate of posting has gotten more erratic lately. It may remain that way for some weeks yet.

Siegen staggers back under the sheer force of the armoured figure's blow but rapidly regains his stance and with Sigfried launches himself back into the fray!
Siegen refuses to back down. "I shall accept surrender - or your head on a stake!", roars the dwarf as he swings again at the warg.
"YARRRGH!", yells Siegen as he immediately counter-attacks!
"You won't stop me, furball!", shouts Siegen as he blocks a paw then slashes in return!
For a heartbeat, the blood-curdling howl was enough to freeze Siegen. But seeing the manling charge, the dwarven warrior can do no less, and powers forward, aiming for the beast's knees!

"My thanks, Brother Jaco-what was that!?"
"Where did you learn to fight, goblin!? That was almost deft!", barks Siegen at the squire as he batters with sword, shield, and ironshod boot.
Siegen braces himself and swings back, keen to see this bout of sparring end in his favour.
I'll be travelling this weekend and I won't be posting again until Monday at least.
Using no battlecry, Siegen charges straight for the goblin knight, aiming to hack it down!

Unless there is another objection, Siegen will move into position for the assault.
"Certainly. Which is why Pickles scouted. I am uncertain what more information there is to gain though."
"If we wait, more may arrive. Or they attack us. We should assault the windmill now."
"There is now little question about it. That was surely a goblin. If any volunteer to scout ahead, so much the better, but we should advance upon the windmill soon."
"We need stealthy feet and keen eyes upon that place.", replues Siegen.
I may not be able to post again until Saturday. Just a heads up.
"Then show us the way to this windmill, Robin."
"Lead on, Robin, we have no time to waste!"
"Of course, Sigfried. A sack is a finer means to transport such a creature than it deserves."
The other warrior near Dzhimburt nods to Sigfried. He is covered in thick steel plates of clear dwarven forgecraft, covered in emblems of clan and people, with a fine shield and longsword strapped to his back. He wears a bucket-like helmet, with a face of umber grey-skin and beard of thick, ochre-coloured hair, the earth tones of a dwarf. His slate-grey eyes peer at the manling. "Greetings, Dzhim. I am Siegen Ingold, of the hold Nargaakarak in the Grey Hills. We are a group tasked by Lord Murkin to hunt down the goblins that murdered local farmers."
At the sound, Siegen immediately draws his sword into a guarded stance. He relaxes slightly when he sees the bound and gagged figure. "I will lend a hand, Sigfried," the dwarf says as he stows his sword and shield on his back, then moves towards the bound manling.
Siegen turns to Brother Jacob with renewed respect. "See? Your Flayed Lord approves of you once again, if he ever did not." Siegen then glares at the goblin. "It curses us in its own tongue and I know it not. Do any here understand it?"
Siegen looks where Siegen indicates, and nods with approval. "Aye, we would all do well to keep our blades and wits sharp around goblins. They are vicious creatures indeed." He looks at the goblin from a distance. "I know not. We will find out soon enough though." Siegen turns to Brother Jacob. "Of course. I would appreciate your ministrations. That foe was well-trained for a goblin."
I'm also good with recruitment. Mages are handy to have around.
Siegen looks around him with a feeling of grim satisfaction. He turns to Sigfried and aks: "Sigfried, you did well. Was that your first time slaying goblins?"

Dwarf hits level 3 at 4,400xp so a while to go yet for Siegen!
Siegen's face shows the barest upturn of his lips as he fells the stronger goblin - and by the manling cutting down another in quick succession. He advances on any goblin that remains standing, determined to finish it off. The archer can wait for a brief interrogation.

The goblin clearly had some skill, avoiding Siegen's blows and landing a solid hit in return. "This one fights well - for a goblin!", Siegen calls.
Siegen charges straight at the goblin mockery of a knight, to deny the wretch a chance to charge first! His dwarven longsword flashes as the blade swings...
Stauntram readies himself to rush to the goblins and wreak havoc.

Is that one person rolls for all of us then?
Siegen turns to the others and quietly says: "The goblins may be up ahead. It may be other travellers, who came to that spot by ill chance. I doubt we will achieve surprise, but we can make the attempt. Or we can rush them." He looks at the others, seeking responses.
