About Shogunto HeineousBackground:
Born in the orc Hold of Belkzen, Shogunto didn't stay there for long: being a half-orc in a tribe particularly xenophobic, it was almost a miracle the child wasn't thrown to the fire as it was born. His father was a human slave, with whom his orc mother fell in love. He didn't really felt the same, but was eventually seduced and, for some weeks, they could live a forbidden love. She ended up growing tired of him as well as her lust passed - she was actually proud of her many lovers - and the man ended up forgotten in a cell, just to die days later when trying to escape. Yet, the child was already there, for her terror. How could that have happened? Not much to do, she crossed her fingers and hoped that her inheritance would be so dominant that the child could be mistaken for another orc. If it wasn't the case - well, she could always have others, so she thought she'd be able to simply discard the bastard in the nearby furnace. But things didn't work that way: the child was born and, despite its very strong orc inheritance, it was still obvious that it wasn't a pureblood. To the mother's surprise, she couldn't find strength to discard Shogunto: for the first time in her life, she was actually finding love in something... Someone. The tribe didn't act as she thought they would, either - despite their obvious shame, there was no escalation or animosity. The mother and child were welcomed with love, and the tribe shamans celebrated him as if he was one of their own. She cried - she was wrong. Behind their brute and their violence, the orcs were actually a family, truly rooted in their traditions but yet respectful towards the offsprings as they were seen as a blessing. Yet, she couldn't bare her own shame. Enveloping the child in a thick blanket she fled Belzen towards the human city of Lastwall. The road itself was harsh, but they managed to survive for long - until finally, however, a group of humans (as xenophonic as she thought her tribemen would be) attacked and killed her. She was still able to hide the child before the battle, so Shogunto wasn't found by them - and seemed fated to die alone by the trees of the forest. Once again, the child was favored by fate itself: he was found by a small band of rangers passing by. The men of mixed heritage (humans, elves, half-elves...) received him well and raised him with respect and love. He was taken to their lair in the forests near Kyonin and learned their faith in Erastil. As the years evolved, the young half-orc found in his style a way to mix and honor his orc inheritance with the abilities and believes of his new family, eventually growing up to become an accomplished ranger himself. Specializing in fighting the demons from Tanglebriar with his heavy orc hornbow, the natural talent of Shogunto to deal with traps - being disarming the ones found in the roads, or creating new ones for their enemies - became an useful tool for good, and he migrated back north to join the crusades. Acting as a guide and survivalist, the brute yet warm half-orc found in the loyalty of the Mendevian yet a new family to fight for.
Appearance and Behavior:
Despite having slightly green skin, there are obvious pink-looking pigments on Shogunto's complexion, making clear he's actually not a full fledged orc, but a mix with human. His facial features are also more angular, reminding a lot his father. He has amber eyes, pointed ears pierced by several earrings and long, dark brown hair with shades of green, covering the shoulders and upper part of his heavily tattooed torso and arms. Good hearted and somewhat shy, Shogunto has a calm voice and a conciliatory tone. He's loyal and even a little naive at moments, due to his young age, but having a life dedicated to fighting demons near Kyonin gave him an edge against evil outsiders and a hunch on their intentions. Shogunto is a guide, a trapper and a tracker, and between his faith in Erastil and his life mission, a man seeking peace even if he has to pierce his way to it with his arrows.
