Shilyn pauses wondering why everyone seems to be swinging their blades at the wondrous setting. "Hey! Y'all quit acting up and enjoy the scenery!"

With bow still in hand, Shilyn walks in kind of a daze admiring all the sights as her Elven half comes to the forefront. "Pretty neat," she mutters, "minus the little hammer guys trying to put dents in our bodies."

Thanks y'all. I'll try to post as I can, but wanted you to know why I haven't been doing so much lately.

I'm actually in the IT field. Been in computers for over 30 years, but as far as programming, I'm only entry-level (college classes but no experience) as most of my time was in mainframes / tech support. I have faith that the Lord will provide :)

Sorry guys. Strange week. Been unemployed since Feb. 30+ applications and only 3 interviews. Was "top candidate" (whatever that means) for one only to have the position put on hold for another 60 days. Ugh.

Needless to say, got a lot going on so I'm not sure if I'll have to drop or not. Not fair to y'all when I'm not active. Bleah.

Drawing her rapier while moving to Varian's side, Shilyn attempts to drive it's pointy end through the little cretin.

Turning to the others, Shilyn speaks in a soft, low voice. "Um, guys.. there's a little teeny creature over there holding a hammer. In case you're curious ya know."

Her hand casually drops to the hilt of her rapier.

So," Shilyn asks, "which way we going to start?" Grabbing a coin from her pouch, she casually flips it into the air and catches it, quickly slapping her palm against the back of her other hand. Taking a quick peek at the coin, she winks and heads towards the western door, tucking the coin back into her pouch as she does.

"Nice and carefully thought out approach making use of all pertinent information available to arrive at a logical conclusion," she says with a giggle.

"Well, looks like if we get poisoned, but not killed, are driven mildly or fully insane, break out in strange rashes, or have one's gender switched, we still have claim rights," Shilyn says with a giggle.

Looking up from a plate that, although piled high with various meats, vegetables, and cheeses when the venture captain started, now sits barren of all but a leftover bone, a young half-Elvish woman reaches across the table with her left hand to snag an apple while taking a sip of wine with her right.

"Oh, right," she says before letting out a belch a dwarf would be proud of, " Introductions. I'm Shilyn, resident requisitioning and relocation expert specializing in abandoned, neglected, or under-appreciated antiquities or other items of inherent value or interest." She concludes with a mischievous grin.

Waving an apple filled hand in greeting she a bite out of it as she turns to the dwarf. "Deag, you going to eat that sausage?" She eyes the link of meat greedily as if she hadn't already eaten enough for two..

Ok.. *struts around in shiny new stuff* Went with the mithral. Looks soo nice and shiny! woo.

Undecided about arcane trickster. Depends on what that shadowy spirit has to say about it ;)

Hrm.. good point. Since I want to take your advice on the mithral chain (once I get the feat to make it worthwhile), I'll skip on the bracer then :) Hrm.. but then a 10% spell fail isn't all *that* bad. Oh wait.. this is my invoke of the dicebot we're talking.. but it'd look soooo chic. hah.

I'd like to spend 4000 to get the Noqual shortsword (dammit, should have made a rapier) enchanted to +1, 225 for the wand of chill touch (since my acid arrow wand ran out), 1000 for the bracers, and 4000 for the belt of dex. :)

9225 spent.. leaving me 2039 gp Ugh.. I so wanted that ring of prot.. heh.

If that's ok, I'll adjust and add to the char sheet.

Yah, working on that.. but seems HeroLabs has Sorc Unchained version as well as rogue.. Not sure how (if) that would affect taking another lvl of sorc. Still undecided.. 1 more lvl 1 spell.. or more sneaky heh.

Shilyn picks up the now useless wand before retrieving her bow and slipping it over her shoulder. Giving the wand a glance, she shrugs then stuffs it into her pack in hope that it could be recharged later.

"I'm going to take a peek down this other passage," she informs the others before stepping off to see what's down the way.

Expending the last of her wand's charges, Shilyn sends one last acid arrow toward the infernal beast..

"Figures, it runs out just when needed most," she mutters as she drops the now useless wand.

Grabbing the wand from her belt where she'd tucked it, Shilyn activates it and spends one of her few remaining charges to send another acid arrow at the beast..

"This thing is really starting to make me upset!" she grumbles. Quickly replacing the healing wand in its holder, she casts her gaze at the creature and mutters a few words of magic, releasing a dark shadowy bolt..

Tucking her acid wand into her belt, Shilyn pulls one of the remaining two wands from the holder strapped to her left thigh. She taps herself with it and mutters a command word..

Slipping out from under the tentacle, she tries a rolling dive to get away from the creature and out of it's reach.

Seeing her effort is somewhat futile, she changes tactics and twists her wrist to run the sharp edge of her rapier along the appendage as best she can as she gives it another try.

Noticing that the minimal enchantment on her blade doesn't seem to do much to the beast, Shilyn quickly dances backwards. Reaching down with her left hand, she grabs the middle wand strapped to her leg and points it at the creature. Uttering a word of command, she sends an acidic bolt towards the thing.

Hearing Mahasi's warnings, Shilyn quickly drops her bow and grabs the hilt of her rapier. She quickly moves in towards the creature's blind side and tries to stick it with the pointy end.

Shilyn sees the gross looking creature and fighting the queasiness in her stomach, draws her bowstring back to her lips. Taking careful aim, she lets her arrow fly..

Stepping into the shadows, Shilyn hooks the basket of her rapier with two fingers of her left hand and grabs her bow. Setting an arrow to the string, she lets her blade dangle and ready for quick use.

"Well, this will be interesting.." She mutters softly.

" Mushrooms? You know.. I really hate mushrooms," Shilyn quips as Varian comes up out of the hole.

Hearing a noise, Shilyn looks at the others. "Um guys, something big this way cometh and I don't think it's an ambulatory fungal growth."

Hurriedly, she goes over to retrieve her dagger that had been thrown at the now deceased thief and returns it to its sheath after quickly inspecting the blade for nicks.

Feeling a bit better after Deaglan's assistance, Shilyn raises to her feet. "Need a hand?" she asks, calling down to Varian.

Thanking Deaglan for his help, Shilyn turns to Varian and gives him a weak smile. She replies, "Yah, I'm not feeling that great either. Something in that vial I think." Pausing a moment she adds, "He was a fellow rogue as well. Wonder who was paying him?"

Slipping off her pack, she reaches inside and pulls out her coil of rope and offers it to the Assimar. "Well, normally I'd shimmy down but uum.. I think I'll just sit here a moment and try to catch my breath."

With that, she plops down on her pack and leans over putting her head between her knees letting out a soft moan. "And make sure he's dead.. preferably after suffering.. a loong time."

Feeling nauseous and drained, Shilyn is thankful that she has a lighter weapon than Varian's huge hammer. She tries once more to stick this annoying man with the pointy end..

Moving up quickly, Shilyn adds her rapier to the mix and attempts to run the fellow rogue through..

Shilyn grins as she advances toward her foe. "So, you've had some training I see," she mutters quietly, "Let's see you you can dodge this.." Her eyes grow very dark as she utters an arcane phrase. A dark gray bolt shoots from her fingertips..

Not sure if the ranged touch roll is needed for this particular spell.. but rolled just in case.

Shilyn moves south to circle the pond in effort to get closer and introduce the attacker to her rapier.. point first.

Ears picking up the slight click of a crossbow string slipping into place and seeing a shadow move behind the pillar to her front, Shilyn thinks quickly.

She hastily throws her masterworked dagger at the movement, hoping to at least cause a distraction, while shouting, "Contact!"

Carefully drawing her rapier and dagger, Shilyn moves forward a bit so that she can scan the whole room before her before moving on. She tries to keep her footsteps light, paying close attention to where she's placing her feet as she moves toward the side of the pond.

stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

Shilyn gives Mahasi a quick smile and replies, "I will, thanks. Careful is my middle name." Turning to drop down through the trap door, she continues, "Of course.. I never use my middle name."

Closing the lid on the last crate, she turns her attention to the trap door. With a tug, she pulls it open and peers below.

"Ok, strange place for a trap door in the maid's closet, but hey, who am I to judge?" Shooting a quick grin at Varian, Shilyn takes a couple moments to examine the crates for anything other than cleaning supplies.. like something shiney or antiquities that need relocating to a less dusty environment.

Hearing Mahasi's query, she turns her head and replies, "From what we've seen so far, that wouldn't surprise me.. demons in one closet, why not skeletons in another?"

With a "hmph" of satisfaction, Shilyn grins as the last tumbler clicks into place. "Ok, now to see what's be hind door number three," she says as she stows her tools back into their leather pouch.

Standing, she stretches a moment to get the kinks out of her legs from kneeling down so long. With her right hand, she draws her rapier while opening the door with her left..

Reaching into her pouch and pulling out a leather wrapped bundle, Shi lays out her tools of the trade. "Hrm, let's see.." she ponders quietly as she carefully selects one of the thin metal tools. "Hopefully this will work," she mutters, selecting one that is composed of a handle and a long thin piece of quality steel. Carefully, she begins to work..

If possible, she'll take 20.. (20 + 13 + 1 = 34 (master crafted tools) ) If not..

disable device / master crafted thieves tools: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 13 + 1 = 18

Going back to the locked door, while straining to keep from letting go a string of expletives while in a chapel, Shilyn spends a moment examining the door to determine if it would be possible to unlock from her side..

Muttering under her breath, she retreats across the hall and tries the last door.

"Ok, this way is temporarily blocked.. from the other side," she mutters. "We'll have to go around the long way." Letting out a soft sigh, she wanders back to one of the doors she passed to dry off and gives that a look.

Casually flipping the sheet back onto the statue, Shilyn turns to her right and looks at the door. "Hrm, let's try this one first even though I don't like the thought of the doors in the entry way behind us," she says with a shrug. "Why backtrack? I'm already here.." With a grin, she turns her eye to examining the door prior to opening.
