I'm assuming we can't Take 10, and also that we need to use a different skill each time? Shelldrake tries dodging the sharp leaves, relying on her reflexes!

Yeah that's a good point - is it a 'weapon' or a 'ranged attack' or... if a weapon do I get my usual bonuses (Thrown grenade I'd be +11) not that with a 4 I's good, if STR that would net me a 12

Shelldrake has donned her battle-harness and is firmly 'on the job'. "Nice to be back on Elytrio, nice to hear things are progressing and you will have food and water security" "What are the four tasks? What special guest?"

Shelldrake silently replies with hand gestures.
"How are the Husks and Membranes going with their relationship building?" "We expecting anyone to want to crash the party?" "Do we need to pack nice clothes, or can we wear our battle kit?" Shelldrake finishes reading the dossier "Clearance not granted? Funny, I was there"

Played Yesteryears Truth & Yesteryears Sorrow with this character A battle-hardened female android arrives wearing very functional-looking body armour and webbing whilst carting too many weapons - including a squad machine gun with a sticker that reads 'Happiness is belt-fed'. She also wears a '72 hour' backpack with neatly arrayed pouches clearly containing various tools, extra link ammunition, grenades, and a clearly labeled medical pouch. She checks the safety on her weapon and just regards the room with her artificial eyes. "Shelldrake", she smiles as she introduces herself though not entirely convincingly - robotic and hollow. You can see that she was built largely as a combat android and the manufacturers cheaped out on non-necessities like 'making her seem friendly'. She only had to appear passably human, not act it.

"Fair enough. You mistake us, we are not here for violence and do not seek it, but we only decry needless violence. If that has been what kept your realm safe then it was not needless. What we'd like to put an end to though, is the need for it" "Right now there are three forces trapped in this kingdom, and we in turn trapped in here with the rest of you" "There are a bunch of Yetis who are happy playing in their smokeholes, but wander off and blunder into accidental destruction of property when all they need is food. If they are fed, they have no interest in accidentally trespassing into your realm" "There are a bunch of Gnolls who have the capacity to feed the Yetis, and can keep them from your realm, but those Gnolls really need to harvest the miraculous plants that only grow in your realm, if they could safely access these they would have no need to end up accidentally trespassing into your realm" "There is a majestic unicorn, yourself, who has the capability to solve all these problems with a mere flick of your mane, and in showing such grace, you would show the Gnolls and Yetis the true charity and benevolence of your rulership" "So my question is two-fold - would you like to show your magnanimity and be declared the ruler of the whole realm, or even more enticingly, come to a new and larger realm where you could be adored by millions?" "I am sure my fellows will happily expand on my thoughts"

Shelldrake is paying attention to the mushrooms "Hey there are several circles of lovingly tended mushrooms, including this one that has been crushed by gnoll footprints. "You could organise and armed resistance, but the Muckfurs seem more interested in sitting around a smokehole and eating. They don't seem to have the capacity for subsistence farming and instead more inclined to rest - all that hot fur" "Keep them fat, dumb, and happy, and you won't need to concern yourselves with an attack. You can then spend your efforts on your agriculture, and if you keep building I am thinking you could build a mill or something - I was going to suggest a small hydro-electrical set up, but you don't seem to have much in the way of cabling or electrical devices to run. Now I think about it, the river could probably turn a bunch of fans, and if we set up some evaporative cooling with wet cloth or like materials we could probably solve the cooling of some Yetis..." "They didn't say how one group ends up with dominance, we could have democratic elections run, or even a council of elders where there is a chair that rotates between the tribes each season, or even some other sort of collaborative collective where they all actually become one large diverse interspecies group - thereby there is only one group and it has dominance - no one said we had to play fair" Shelldrake goes back to paying attention to the world around her.
