I agree. I kinda lost interest in Shatter as well, so my diminished interest probably had some effect as well.

"What do you see? Refuse?"

"I concur"

gather info: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (15) - 2 = 13

Shatter will try to gather some leads, but is ultimately less than successful on his own.

someone who sucks at diplomacy could try to assist, or could count my roll as an assist to theirs

know(psionics) dc 20: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13 wow

"Perhaps such power is easy to afford with their mark up."

is the enemy still near, and if so how far? I'll likely just repeat my last round if possible

Shatter steps up to stare down the swarm, and strange energy flows from his eyes.

Gaze from Beyond, DC 16 Will partial: Those that make the save are shaken for one round, while those that fail the save take damage from the disrupt pattern effect and are confused for one round.

damage: 1d6 + 4 + 2d6 ⇒ (2) + 4 + (2, 5) = 13

with a 30ft move, can i get to where i can hit the swarm with a 30ft cone? ideally, without getting in the dangerous green stuff or hitting an ally with the cone

Shatter meditates for a moment (regaining his focus) and then shoots a black ray of energy at the bee.

ranged touch: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
disrupt: 1d6 + 4 + 2d6 ⇒ (2) + 4 + (1, 3) = 10

Shatter will expend his focus to enact Altered Defense, making the sting narrowly miss him (+1 AC)

ref: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 +2 vs mind-affecting, psi-like, +2 vs. illusion spells or effects., +2 bonus vs. disease, mind-affecting effects, poison, and effects that cause either exhaustion or fatigue

Shatter shoots a black ray of energy at the nearest enemy. (or readies an action to do so if none are present)
ranged touch: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
disrupt: 1d6 + 4 + 2d6 ⇒ (1) + 4 + (4, 4) = 13

fort DC 13 poison: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
fort DC 13 nausea: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

i mean, it doesn't have the [mind-affecting] tag

the below assumes that i can get an angle on one or more enemies without catching allies in my vision cone, having a move action to get in place as necessary.

Shatter steps up to stare down the enemies, and strange energy flows from his eyes.

Gaze from Beyond, DC 16 Will partial: Those that make the save are shaken for one round, while those that fail the save take damage from the disrupt pattern effect and are confused for one round.

damage: 1d6 + 4 + 2d6 ⇒ (1) + 4 + (2, 2) = 9

I had a readied action to attack the first enemy within 30ft, so i will take that. then I will attack it again on this turn, unless it is dead and in that case i will attack the first giant bee after shifting my focus.

ranged touch: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
disrupt: 1d6 + 4 + 2d6 ⇒ (2) + 4 + (5, 3) = 14 half dmg on hit due to lack of it being my current enemy type

move action psionic focus to change my enemy type from construct to insect, leaving humanoid in place.

ranged touch: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
disrupt: 1d6 + 4 + 2d6 ⇒ (1) + 4 + (6, 5) = 16

how far are the enemies from me?

can we get an initiative rundown? I am still readying an action unless my init has come up

S-P-T-V:
i guess i will ready an action to disrupt pattern on it when an enemy is within range (30ft)

vicinity of building where previous conflict occurred:

ref dc 20: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 +2 vs psi-like
nature dc 20/21: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Shatter moves inside the door and attempts to observe the approach of the creature through a window or slot or leaves the door open a crack to view the approach.

"Certainly, accompany me if you wish."

Shatter would spend nights patrolling the building where Kiana is working. During the daytime, he would have been plying his trade as a tattooist, sightseeing, or perusing the markets for items or reagents of interest.

8 a.m. would be about the time in the morning that Shatter finishes his last patrol and decides to stroll into the city, as the city's activity should be spinning up.

"I agree, waiting is no issue. I certainly don't have the gold to dictate otherwise. I can stay here as well."

"Interesting. That our assailant psychoported could explain your missing stonemasons. That they are all stonemasons tells me that likely their captors need them to build something. Something large."

"I have no compunctions regarding remaining here. I also cannot track that sort of movement."

Shatter will speak up, lest the silence condemn them.

"There was a human (gives physical description accurately to the best of his ability) that attacked us. In the ensuing fight, some crates caught fire. One of our band is within, attempting to put the fire out. The enemy fled by way of psychoportation."

Shatter remains silent, waiting for the one who started the fire to answer.

warehouse:
Shatter will attempt to leave through the door, avoiding the fire.

Nice. I wish we could upload or own avatars

warehouse:
"Cow before me."
Shatter turns his head such that only the Riedran can see his eyes, and a sickly glow emanates from them once more.

Gaze from Beyond, DC 16 Will partial: Those that make the save are shaken for one round, while those that fail the save take damage from the disrupt pattern effect and are confused for one round.

damage: 1d6 + 4 + 2d6 ⇒ (6) + 4 + (5, 4) = 19

warehouse:
"The object of fear you propose is nothing before the entropy that awaits all." Shatter says, moving so that the others are not facing him and the 'forged stares at the Riedran.

Gaze from Beyond, DC 16 Will partial (see below)

warehouse:
so do we go again then?

warehouse:
Shatter sends a beam of black energy at the enemy.

ranged touch: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
damage: 1d6 + 4 + 2d6 ⇒ (1) + 4 + (5, 6) = 16

team P:
sense motive: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31

"Your game is over. You know the answer to my questions and are attempting to deceive me. Explain your presence in this place, and why it was set up to trick the untrained eye, and where the trap door leads."

team pierce:
"Do you know where they went? do you know where this trap door leads to? How did you come to be here?" i'/d give him time to answer these questions rather than barrage him but such is the nature of pbp

Shatter also looks to Pierce, the mission commander at the moment, to see if he has any other questions.

Pierce team:
perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
"There is a trap door beneath the body. It is tied to that big empty crate." Shatter says, indicating such by pointing.

He continues, "Also, over there, someone is hiding in that crate up there. You may reveal yourself, person, the ruse is over. We are currently no danger to you."

if there is no response he will repeat it in Riedran.

Shatter looks around with detect psionics.

i assume i dont know him, but i'll ask anyway

"To subvert the Dark is a worthwhile task. I will accompany you, especially as another is seeing to our main goal."

"Indeed, more knowledge is needed before embarking on your task, as well as the primary task. Uninformed decisions invite ruin."

^same

"Someone knows the path, then?" Shatter asks to no one in particular.

know local: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

what would i (if i could) roll to recognize the crest?

"I am interested enough in the study of the Syrk and any relevant shadowy machinations to accept your request, with reservations. Though I must add that I am not particularly interested in interfering with their tribal politics unless more facts are presented to make it apparent that doing so would be necessary for my continued personal safety. I trust there will be some way of offsetting our costs in performing this task for you?"

crowded hut:
"It becomes apparent why I am here, then."

crowded hut:
"Indeed, I am anxious to hear of this business." the warforged states, his expression blank.

crowded hut:
"I do not."

crowded hut:
Xalt nods, remaining silent while urging "S" to continue.

Tawk/Shatter:
"Ah. You are gathering a group, then?"

shatter:
Slightly worried, his face remains a blank slate as always and he follows the strange woman.

I'm unfamiliar with Divine Mind.

I thought Shaper was more like a Conjurer, with the summon-like Astral Construct power?

I'll be playing a Cryptic, so be prepared for Knowledge skills, a little unhinged-brain-flavor, and my main means of attack is a 30ft ray.
