My group didn't have too much trouble with him, our group make up was:

Lvl 3 Human Cavalier
Lvl 3 Sylph Ranger-Beast Master/Trapper
2 - Lvl 3 Elven Witch's

We didn't start having issues with combat till book 2.

We are getting ready to play(finally) and our group consists of:

Half-Orc Paladin of Iomadae
Elf Rogue/Magus or Wizard/Arcane Trickster
Changeling Bard
and my character a Demon-spawn Tiefling Oracle or Cleric of Pharasma(have a +4 charisma total, so I'm unsure if I want to give up the Pharasma connection fluff to be a really powerful Oracle.)

Actually this is something I am wondering about as well. My group just lost our fourth, we aren't replacing her, and we are going to three man Carrion Crown. We currently have a Paladin, a Magus/Rogue, and I'm playing a Gunslinger. Would this be a good group to run with, or should I go ahead and make a Cleric or Oracle? Just curious what everyone thinks.

I love the new design of the prd. It's elegant, it cleaner and is a lot more user friendly than the last version. Love it, keep up the good work everyone.

The gunslinger ability that lets them shoot a bullet and then use the superheated barrel to stop bleeding is a really good example. It's a terrible ability from a min-max perspective, but it's just so damn flavorful, I'd be tempted to take it.

I'm sure this will cause someone to chime in and say this is terrible game design, blah, blah, blah, but it seems to be the way Paizo works.

I'm glad that gunslingers have this ability, but they could have got it for free.

They do get it for free. It's part of the utility shot deed you get just for hitting level 3. As long as you have one grit point you can perform a utility shot, one of which is Stop Bleeding. You aren't giving up a feat, you aren't having to make a choice, you get it, and all of the other utility shot options, at level 3. Heck, you don't even have to spend a grit point on it, just have one available.

Musket Master: "Weapon Proficiency: A musket master only gains proficiency with two-handed firearms. She must take the Exotic Weapon Proficiency (firearm) feat to gain proficiency with two-handed firearms and firearm siege engines. Gives the Rapid Reload feat without replacing anything."
I got it, but I still need me a feat!
Also, gives the Rapid Reload feat without replacing anything... not fair!

Mysterious Stranger: Clipping Shot does not specify which deed it replaces.
Stranger's Fortune is worded like it replaces ALL Gun Training(1-4).

Pistolero: Pistol Training does not say that it replaces firearm training (should be gun training) 1-4... thems sum mighty pistols yer got there.

Can I haz for free?

Actually I was curious about this as well. We are getting our characters ready to play Carrion Crown, and I'm making a Gunslinger Mysterious Stranger, if I can augment with Pistolero as well(I only plan on using pistols) then that will rock.

I would just like to thank everyone who has answered all the questions in this post, it's really great to see what's in there while waiting for it to arrive.

I also have a question, other than using the charisma for grit instead of wisdom, any other highlights of the mysterious stranger archetype?

FYI, many CotCT monsters were pathfinderized in Bestiary 2:

Carrion Golem
Devilfish
Soulbound Doll
Reefclaw
Leukodaemon
Giant Fly/Maggot
Gug
Umbral Dragon
Belier Devil

okay good, my bestiary 2.0 is on the way, wasn't sure how much was going to be in there, so pretty much all that's left for me to do is upgrade the npc's? if so that will help immensely time wise.

I know this has been asked before, and maybe I've just missed the thread that concerns what I'm actually wanting to know, but I'm wanting to convert the Crimson Throne to Pathfinder rule set, but still be as challenging as the later adventure paths that use the pathfinder ruleset. If anyone could just point me to a thread that helps or give me any other help or info other than the conversion guide that's already out there(which is nice, but doesn't seem to grant quite the kick to enemies I was expecting, we're running Council of Thieves now and while amazing and fun, pretty tough at times.)

Thanks in advance for any help given.
