Guys, I'm going to bow out of this one. I'm just not particularly into the game and I'm not adding anything to it. Feel free to kill Sev off or use him as you will.

Thanks!
James

No idea if you are being serious or not.

Completely serious. It's cracking me up.

I think I love the Raxus and Cyean show...

Sev chuckles, a grim thing not touched by humor. "Well, to her credit, she alternates between b~*+# and bare. There's rarely much midground, but some fair midriff. So, am I sick like these? Fast disease that, if merely walkin' through gets you the plague. How'd it start?"

"Keep your pants on, Priestess. I'm here." Sev walks out of the Inn, coughing slightly. "This here's Eaglefeather. She says she's a nurse."

Sev nods at the woman and heads toward the inn. Once there, he heads inside, saying loudly. "I'm looking for Eaglefeather."

Spoiler:
Fort 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Sev nods when he hears Thalia's message. "Got it." he mutters.

Sev shudders when the guard falls. He moves to help him into a sitting position, then growls at the people standing around. "What in tarnation happened here? Where's Toanga or Eaglefeather?"

Sev swallows hard. "I'll go in. Jonga or Eaglefeather, eh? The rest of you stay here." Sev ties a bandana around his mouth and takes off into the town toward the clot of villagers.

Sev pulls up, glancing around nervously. "Plague?"

At the bandit's words, Sev's musket is out and loaded, scanning the doors and windows for movement.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Sev enjoys the show, then goes back to cleaning his musket.

Sev isn't exactly happy about letting enemies walk away, but promises were made. He watches the bandits leave.

Sev shakes his head, trying not to laugh as he gathers his gear up.

Sev shrugs. "I figure they'll kill Dessie, but they've got no reason to burn the town, not while it's still useful and producing. We might as well get started in exploring the area. Besides, too much comfort makes a man soft." Sev says the last part with a note of bitterness in his voice.

"So she punishes you by causing you pain when you try to have sex? Seems counterproductive."

Sev laughs quietly at Desmond's rage. "That one needs to loosen up a bit. Too much clenching is bad for a man."

Turning back to the group, he shoulders his musket. Seeing Raxus' concern and the priestess' response, he frowns. "And how does Calistria wish you to get back in her good graces then?"

"Not a bad idea to get out of here. 'Course we should kill Dessie first, keep him from sending the bandits after us..." Sev's grin makes it apparent he's only half-joking.

Sev's not sure about Thalia because, well he's not sure about anyone. We have no real allegiance to each other yet, no shared experience or common goal. Mikam and Raxus are both straightforward; battle and a common enemy are the way to get to know them. Thalia is not straightforward; she's a woman and slippery, and acts it. For all the men know, she's off conspiring with the bandit prisoners. SO, yes, Sev doesn't trust her and won't until she's proven herself or shared some sort of awful experience or saved him; it's the way hard men are.

Raxus Half-blood wrote:
Raxus grunts at Sev's words. "She will learn that we are not hers to play with. If she will not learn on her own, she will be taught."

"I've seen her type before. The flutter in public and poison in private type. They're not the sort to learn without there being a penalty to not learning. Best to keep a close eye on her. She could be useful, if I didn't suspect she was using us for her own ends.."

As the men finish digging, Sev grins at the departure of Felina and Toanga and the cat fight averted by the other female's departure. He leans upon his shovel for a moment, wiping sweat from his eyes. "What are we do about the princess? Her mood swings are going to be an issue."

"Dessie, you don't know me, so I'll give you a pass on this time. I'm not a man you want to threaten. 'Cause if you do, you better be darn sure you kill me on the first try. Otherwise, I'll take you down hard and final-like. Got me?" Sev shoulders his musket and grabs one of the shovels.

Sev is liking the idea of going after this Ox, since he's already been warned.

Sev laughs at Desmond's rage. "That's the spirit, Dessie! We might make a proper man out of you yet!"

Sev wanders over to where Thalia is "interrogating" the prisoner. "You want I should just kill him, Priestess? Or you got "plans" for him?" Sev's voice makes it clear that the "plans" are horrible, indeed.

Intimidation: 1d20 ⇒ 6 to play bad cop to Thalia's good cop

Sev barks one harsh laugh while reloading his musket. "Shut yer noise, Dessie. It wasn't much of a life to begin with."

Sev gives up on the leader and instead steps five feet away from Bandit 6 and fires his musket at him!

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 ranged touch
Damage: 1d12 ⇒ 4

Sev raises the musket to his shoulder and keeps scanning the area, watching for the bandit leader.

Ready action to fire if the bugger raises his invisible head.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 ranged touch
Damage: 1d12 ⇒ 9

Sev raises his musket to his shoulder and scans the crowd. He readies an action to fire if the small man reappears or shows any sign of his position.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

Sev reloads his musket, then moves out the door toward the little wiry bastard!

Sev will draw his bead on the leader. If he does anything remotely violent, Sev fires.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 ranged touch
Damage: 1d12 ⇒ 2

He immediately begins to reload.

Sev will continue to draw a bead on the leader. He'll keep an eye on the others, but leader is the target of choice.

Ah ha! In that case, I'll find a window or a doorway and take up my sniper position!

Sev moves to just inside the doorway after hearing the thin man's ultimatum. He'll peer outside and draw a bead on the small man, noting him as the leader. And then he'll do what every good hunter does: he waits for the perfect moment to fire...

Sev shrugs. "I'll let the rest of you talk. Just don't get in my line of fire. I'll want to take out the first one fast, shake up the rest if need be."

Loading and checking his musket, Sev shakes his head. "Let's go outside and meet our welcoming party. No sense hiding our heads."

Ser Granger you are from House Medvyed right? Would you know more character or no?

Sev is from that house, but only secretly. He fled his birthright after being accused of murder. He's back and VERY different from the noble he was.

"Hmph. I don't know about walking into a devil's den with nothing but a reputation, pretty lady. You sure you don't want accompaniment? Else, I'm all for visiting this Jorah. Vicious I can deal with, but a mad dog needs to be put down 'lest it bite and spread its disease."

Sev watches the two discussing strategy. "I know this much: once we start making deals, the others, no matter how friendly are going to get treacherous. Now I've no doubt that the pretty lady here can out-treason them all, but the trick is who dies first. 'Cause every one of them will die, sooner or later, friend or foe. My business is the tracking and killing of dangerous creatures. So which one of these bands is most dangerous and needs to be removed first?"

Sev chuckles at the man's forthright immorality. "Heck, at least you're honest about yourself, I suppose. So, as the pretty lady said, what do you know about these bandits?"

"I'm not nearly as civilized as you, miss." Sev steps into the man's home anyway, looking around. "Nice place. How do you rate the fancy house in town?"

Sev shrugs at Raxus, and walks toward the large manor house. Knocking loudly on the door, he waits for a response from within.

"Waiting might get us a death of old age, if that woman was any measure of the hospitality of this town. Well, pretty lady, you seem to be a talker. Why don't we go knock on the Big House and you can talk us in, eh?"

Sev laughs at the exchange. "Peace, Priestess! The road's long and tempers have plenty o' time to flare. Death warrant or not, it's our fate to make. Now, are we set to hit the road?"

"Ha!" Sev barks a harsh laugh at the catfight to ensue. He shakes his head and moves to the back of the group, his eyes scanning the road and all around as he keeps an eye out for any enemies.

Sev walks in, holding his musket against his shoulder and smelling of oil and powder.

"Nice music, miss. Does it always come with the show?" He sneers slightly, not at all charming.

Sev nods distractedly at each of them as they leave. Once they're gone, he moves to the shadows, finding a hidden place where he can watch without being seen. From there he watches the play of social niceties below, trying to determine who is in whose pockets.

Sev scowls when his name is called, and stands only enough to bob his head and sit back down, watching the place with wary eyes. 'Too many that might recognize me. Gods, but I hate social gatherings!'

Ach, I feel like a boob.. Now I've got you all on my Focus page, I'll jump in and join... Sorry, again!

Ah crud, I see what happened.

I've been using the new Focus feature on the website, which only shows games I've posted in. I never saw the thread because I never posted in it. I'm sorry, I am a victim of my own technological reliance...

Given that you're so deep into the game, I'm sorry but I probably should just bow out. My apologies again for not seeing this before now.

I'm here, just waiting for the game to begin.
