i'm still here, but yes, if there is no activity, then inactivate it.

Sighing with her position as intermediary, Serenity turns to her new minion, "answers their questions please, I grow weary of the need to repeat them."

"Leave the creature for the moment, but keep an eye on it, and lets finish the mission."

Looking down at the construct Serenity reprimands it "You will find me a stern task master as well, answer their questions."

"Well now, that's so much better, so who is this mistress? And why are you blinking?"

Looking at the others, "what do you all think?"

Happy new year

checking in

feel free to roll for me to keep things from getting stuck, especially with just a knowledge check.

Spellcraft 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

"It would do you well to be cooperative before my companions loose what restraint they have. You are not the reason we are here, our quarrel is not with you. Who are you working for, who is this mistress??"

Diplomacy 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Know: any 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 +4 more for religion, othes capped at DC 10

detect magic is one spell that Serenity has been renewing constantly. It is yet one more method of detecting something coming at them.

"just a moment, keep your shirt on." Looking where they are pointing, she studies the creature carefully.

only two of us noticed it...

"Anyone hurt?" Serenity stands ready to render aid if anyone is wounded, otherwise she awaits further orders.

perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

wow, mine is missing too

1d20 ⇒ 1

Serenity will channel energy, selecting any of the mobs that were hit to be excluded.

channel energy, excluding 4 wounded enemies 1d6 ⇒ 3

Serenity casts bless on the party.

What's the visibility, concealment, and penalty to perception?

Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

"'Front, rear, sides!" Serenity hisses and indicates in which direction the most seem to be coming from.

what are we bluffing?

bluff 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

"We have company, looks like some sort of construct, maybe a dozen!"

If they are already within range to be attacking, Serenity casts sanctuary.

If further out, she pulls out and loads her crossbow.

Wrapping her shemagh over her head, Serenity scowls at the blowing wind. "Should we be stopping until this blows over?"

She has been casting detect magic on a regular basis and taking a look around with the reduced visibility, but really doesn't expect to see anything through the flying crud. "Should we rope up to keep from getting lost? If this gets any worse we'll loose all visibility."

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Not a front runner, definitely in the middle.

Serenity stands before the supply tent, ready to see what she can lay her hands on for the coming operation.

"Guys, lets go hit the camp stores, see what they will let us get away with stocking up on before we head off into the Mournlands."

What kind of spell requires dew specific to a mountain? How tall does it have to be before it qualifies as a mountain? I know there are some mole hills south of camp, I can call one of those a mountain, will that work?

"Understood, Sergeant!" Once out of ear shot, Serenity looks to the others, "he didn't say anything about not stopping for supplies on the way. I'm not exactly sure how we are going to maintain a straight line through the mournlands, anyone have any ideas?"

Can we get a discussion thread up?

@Raelc being a GM on these boards myself, I can tell you that I have not seen anything that would indicate that a GM had editing abilities to change or delete posts in threads they 'own.'

I could throw together another character for Xendrik, that one is likely to be a wizard though.

mournlands

Hope you had plenty of fun on your honeymoon, no need for details, seriously, please don't.

crepe's they're easy.

now you get croissants down and you have it made.

I need to get a pastry stone just to keep the butter from melting (I live in Arizona and my wife would kill me if I lowered the AC that much).

pretty much, just a matter of switching who she works for/why she's there.

I can easily make a few slight modifications to fit her to either campaign, as well as working in prior experience with the other members of the group.

Was there anyone else trying out for the healer slot?

Serenity has a tendency to look at the darker side of things, and her humor is generally dry. She will generally get along with anyone that doesn't piss her off.

My Eberron is a little rusty, but I have most of them available on pdf. (I use my ipod to carry my book collection with me.)

I did play one game in Eberron, started around 5, went to 17, GM dumped us back to 9, went back up to 15, with the same character. My kid loves playing warforged.

Signature focus just looks like a feat sink.

So it lets me save 25XCL.

As a focused wizard, I can save $250g in spell components at 10th lvl.

And at 20th lvl I'm up to $500gold?

So what do I save?

Well I can cast identify (100g) for free. but I use detect magic and spellcraft.

Arcane lock for a savings of $25g

best use, fabricate. wall of iron.

Spells with expensive materials

I can see some uses, but most of those seem so situational that I would be inclined to just note on my char sheet X gold for spell materials.

Xen'drik is cool.

Did you think about running to groups in the Sellswords?

Company Cleric, reporting for duty!

Still interested in playing in this pbp.

Point of interest, does it make sense to have the companies divided by caster/non-caster?

One company of warforged is a racial based grouping and could be thought to have melee, ranged, casting, etc. But then to have all casters in one company shorts the other companies from having the protections of casters.

I guess it would depend on how large the engagements are. If the entire company goes on campaign, then having all the casters under one command makes sense.

If casters are akin to specialists, then having a pair or squad in a platoon or company might make more sense.

If the idea is more of something like a bunch of special forces units, then each of the main character types would be needed in any unit.

"It's something you put on fish, tastes good, does that tartar! And if it's his fish, you need it!"

Are we new recruits? Likely that we are all in the same squad? Or will this be a case of newly assigned and not knowing each other?

Profile is mostly done to fill the roll of unit healer and back up face.

congrats, enjoy, and should you fail, I stand behind you, dagger in hand.

Halflings are notorious for providing an upset stomach, they are like goats, eating anything that fits in their mouth.

"I must say this is the first game I know that has a recruitment page with more life than the actual game page...

For further consideration, I will need those wishing to have their applications reviewed to provide a small processing fee. Only one gold, and I will get right to work on reviewing your applications. An additional five gold does move your application to the front of the line.

Now if I could have everyone forma single line here..."

I prefer to flavor my food with freshly ground elf.

Beer-braised dwarf is best served with a good red wine and a rich dark pumpernickel.

Halfling with mozzarella and basil sausage does well with grilled mushrooms and onions, served on linguine or fettuccine and a light garlic wine sauce, a semi-sweet white wine and of course sesame rolls.

"Carnage without purpose is better left in the sewers. While some will giggle and draw attention with idle bloodshed, I shall be enriching those more deserving through establishment of asset reallocation processes."

Replacing the avatar for Serendipity Willowweep.

The thread has been a bit confusing, how about they take us both Xrezth, the way pbps go, someone will drop out at some point.
