So, I am genuinely confused.. was breaking the alter really the final part of this?? Or was it just taking care of the bodies and wrapping things up? Senach breaths a sigh of relief once all of the clean up is finished. The bodies have been taken care of, the alter sabotaged, and the victims had all been looked after and patched up as best as they could have been. He leads the way to the surface and takes a look around at aftereffects of the battles and the rubble left behind. "Well, we certainly make a statement wherever we go, don't we?!" he quips with a relieved smile. He turns and begins helping the guards to reestablish order, getting the prisoners sorted out for their cells or for the infirmary as needed. He is genuinely surprised when the constable approaches and asks about the bell. Senach takes the note with a puzzled look. As he quickly scans it, his reptilian face darkens and his muscles tighten. Swearing, he hands the letter over to his companions to read. "Damn! Was there anything we could have done to prevent this?!" His eyes search each of his companions before he returns his gaze to the constable. "I assure you, sir, that we had nothing to do with this. Our concerns were the kidnappers and their victims.. and we certainly couldn't have made off with a bell of all things."

As the last of the derros falls, Senach catches his breath for a moment before moving over to the alter and pool with the rest of his companions. He keeps his eye on the mites, but tries to chuffle the surviving humans into a group so that they could be examined and treated for wounds.

Once the alter has been destroyed, Senach takes the larger chunks and begins tossing them to different parts of the cavern, dispersing the remnants as best as he can. Finished at last, he wipes the sweat from his forehead and rejoins Phoebee and LV. "What do you think? Any magic or anything? Any changes?"

Assuming that Orange is still up.. Senach springs from his defensive crouch, mace raised high over his head. His feet touch the rough stone as his mace crashes in on the derro!
"Push forward!" he cries out. "Push them back! Take the high ground!" With these words, he takes his own advice, stepping forward to hold the high point of the bridge.

Senach readies his mace and prepares himself for the onslaught. He slides his feet back and forth on the rock finding their grip, then turns to his companions. "It has been a pleasure, my friends! Lets end this!" As Vulpina's pistol announces to the cavern that the cavalry have arrived and Phoebee lifts her voice in song to quicken their hearts, he also begins a chanting homily prayer to Erastil, begging for strength of arm and heart for himself and his companions.

Phoebee + LV: That works for me if it works for everyone else. The fighters can stand shoulder to shoulder across the bridge with readied actions, while you two hit them until they charge. Once they close, we can mix it up.. it's only 3:1 odds, and from the description, I think that they are already wounded and roughed up. However, unless something develops, first chance that he gets Senach is rushing for the pool to stop the prisoners from being drowned.. I won't leave you guys hanging, but I will be moving as soon as we thin the herd enough to be manageable.

Are they just going for a dip and coming back out, or are they going under and staying there as far as we can see? Edited after looking at map: HOLY CRAPOLA, guys! What do you suggest? I think that maybe we can advance to the edge of the bridge and have them come to us? Melee up front, with Lady Vulpina and her gun, and Phoebee with her spells and CLW wands behind us? If we choose the location right and Phoebee can control the incoming with more grease, it may be that we can reuse the tactics from the ghoul here, and with better effect.

"By the gods!!" Senach exclaims, teetering between incredulity and irrational action. "This is vile.. I don't know whats going on, but we need to intercede! Lady Vulpina, Phoebee.. do either of you recognize this foul power??" I am not sure where the prisoners are located on the map. Also, once they go into the water, are they coming back up at all?? Also, is there anything for the girls to make spellcraft checks for regarding the flashes of light from the stone? Senach is all for rushing forward, but I don't want to blindly charge in either. GM: Depending on where the enemy is located, is there a path available for a charge or will it be regular movement?

As the dancing lights appear, Senach looks to Lady Vulpina. "Thank you. Although I do not need as much light as humans, this does help and I have no lights of my own." Senach turns away from the gold, leaving it for the others to worry about as he looks over the prisoners with Lady Vulpina. Senach also spends a couple charges from his wand, trying to heal some of the wounds from the men in the cages. "We should at least open the cages.. and probably spin the room around to let these guys go back to the prison!" Senach says, worried for the mens weakened conditions. Senach waits until the paralysis begins to lose its grip on his muscles.. something that he has unfortunately begun to get used to. Sitting up, he rubs his face with a hand and looks about. "Thank Erastil that thing is finally dead!!" he says emphatically, breathing a quiet prayer of thanks to all the good gods. I think the best bet is the one at a time approach Kazu describes. If LV can get the blindness to work, we could safely switch to a flanking tactic, but we are running out of options, and a bum rush obviously isn't going to be enough.

As soon as his arms are released from the paralysis, he graps his wand and gives himself a couple of taps to heal all of his wounds. "That was very well done, all of you. I think at this point, we all owe our lives to someone!" Settling back as the healing magic courses over him, he looks to his team. "Kazu, your first idea may work but is extremely dangerous. Seeing that every person so far to engage this thing has fallen to its paralysis, I think that your second idea would be best. Since I am immune to disease, I volunteer to be first in line." Turning to Lady Vulpina, he continues. "I especially like your idea. Do you have to have line of sight to cast your spell? I am more than willing to contribute whatever PP I have left to you, Lady Vulpina. Is therre anyone still standing this round that could grab either LV's wand or mine just to stabilize her?? Phoebe: It looks like you are still up for the round. If the GM would permit a free action to draw from another character as part of your move action, you could grab my wand as you move past and then standard action to use it on Lady Vulpina. I had just signed in for the first time since early Monday morning when I received the message. Mondays are absolutely terrible for me under the best of circumstances, and this weekend/week has certainly not been that by any stretch of the imagination. The reason Mondays are so bad is that it is my transition day between my two jobs. Sunday night I work 1700-0630 Monday morning, then turn around and am at my other job from 1400-0200ish Tuesday morning. (heavy emphasis on the "ish") Typically, I am lucky to get around 5 hours of sleep between the two shifts, and I am wiped when I get home Tuesday morning and sleep pretty much until I am due back at work Tuesday afternoon! I am sorry for how this has affected the game so far!
