Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Let's try to keep the gameplay ontopic.

Terevalis, I don't know why you felt the need to deal with the chest yourself, the kender would've gotten around to it, after taking care of the important stuff, business before pleasure as they say.

Semus has a +10 bonus to disable device checks, and a pretty good perception too, specially for traps +8.

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

In other words if you have the Heal skill, you should make checks to to beat the poison save DC, if you do, you give him a +4 bonus to his save

Hmmmm, what kind of treatment? Would either Heal skill or CLW help?

Treat Poison: To treat poison means to tend to a single character who has been poisoned and who is going to take more damage from the poison (or suffer some other effect). Every time the poisoned character makes a saving throw against the poison, you make a Heal check. If your Heal check exceeds the DC of the poison, the character receives a +4 competence bonus on his saving throw against the poison.

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Alright, I'll go find more ropes, so we can bind the other prisoners, we probably want to tear down any unused tents, we don't want anybody hiding in those... who wants to help?

Looking for rope: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Semus goes pulls the rope hung across his shoulders and walks to Cole.

Turn around, clasp your hands behind your back

When he does so, Semus ties him up to the best of his abilities.

These are the rules, since we're not grappling, the DC to escape is 21 (20 + my CMB)

I think we should spend the rest of the night here, it's unlikely those that escaped would come back with no one to lead them, and we need to heal. He says looking at his own wound.

Alchemists are the Bomb dot com :)

I like the grenadier archetype, have to try the mutagen route, but it's not my style.

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Semus growls wildly fueled by the pain of the cut he just suffered, and hacks at the bandit that wounded him with all his might!.

BAB+Str+size+Bard Bonus+Fav Enemy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Dmg if applicable: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

on his turn, Semus will take a 5 foot step back, take a shot at the bandit he already wounded, then drops the bow, and pulls his other axe out. May Paladine have mercy on your souls!

Bow+Size+Fav Enemy+Pointblank Shot+Bard Bonus: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 1 = 20

Damage if applicable: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

I forgot to count the size bonus in my previous attack, haven't played a small character in a long time

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

In the surprise round Semus takes a 5 foot step to his left, drops the axe he was carrying, pulls out his bow.

In the first round, he takes a shot at the bandit just north of him (the one inline with the log).

Bow + Fav. Enemy + Pointblank Shot: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Damage if applicable: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

If the enemy is not human, substract 2 from the attack and damage rolls above

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Hanging the rope across his shoulder and an axe in one hand, Semus follows.

Stealth: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 14 + 2 = 34

using my own bonus, if that is no longer applicable, just subtract 2

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

I have 50' of hemp rope, that's probably enough to tie a couple of people

Wizard, given the stuff Serenatholos took, would the sorcerer still be a threat?, can he function without his pouch of ... magical stuffs

Semus was talking about incapacitation, not cold blood murder, though I can see it could be interpreted the other way as well

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

I would say we incapacitate the guards one by one, then deal with the rest quickly and quietly

Most of them are sleeping, it would be easy

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

HGoK, that's all fine by me :)

I do have the books, in fact I ran this adventure (only the first part) when it came out, 8 or 9 years ago. Don't worry I won't refresh my memory, neither will I care for any modifications you do to it.

Premade adventures are at their best when customized anyways, plus it adds to the fun for the GM. :)

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Semus nods to Serenatholos and signals the elf to come along.

I pick options 5 and 6

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

oof, too many good rolls on the not as important stuff :)

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Sounds good to me, we'll go around their camp, and try to determine if this is the camp we're looking and what is their strength. We'll be back to formulate the plan, if they discover us, just join the fray he winks at the group

Follow me... he says to the gnome.

Semus pulls both of his axes and begins moving quietly as possible, keeping a safe distance, moving from one hiding place to another.

Stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Right, you go get those Nerakans... good luck!

Semus, sighs in relief and thanks his companions with a nod.

You guys stay out of trouble, I'll be out town for a few days he says to Mayleaf and her father.

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17

Not Semus' forte

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Semus turns to Mayflower and whispers in Kender Did you steal from this one Mayleaf, tell me... I am not mad at you, you don't need to speak, just blink if you did he says kindly.

If she blinks:
He nods slightly, pulls out from his own purse and gives the man the 10 steel

If she doesn't blink:
He turn to the ergothians I think the only thieves here are you, robbers actually

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Semus pulls one of his Axes and runs up to Kelwick, pointing at the leader with his axe he snarls enraged Not all Kenders are thieves, some know how to fight, you so much as touch that Girl, and I'll chop your fingers and feed them to your friends!

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Semus who had been quietly listening to the information just handed to them, speaks to the Herald.

Sir Herald, In your dreams, did you see me?, are you certain? there are many kenders in Pashin.

Expecting a nod from the old man, Semus continues, Did you happen to see how many people are in Pegrin's gang?

Semus attempts to recall of a place, within the described distance and direction that would serve as a hideout for Pegrin and his gang.

Knowledge (Geography: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

I think I have a reasonable idea of where they might be, I can lead you there. He says to the rest of the group...

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Semus, who had been waiting at the Wounded Crow for some time, saw the crowd gather long before the Herald appeared.

People hear what they want to hear, and thus some wouldn't not like the Herald's tale, Semus didn't expect things would get out of hand though.

Semus pulling one of his axes from his belt as he moves in front of the Herald, he gets ready to chop at anyone that gets past the knight and the elf. At the same time, he looks for an opening in the crowd that would facilitate a retreat if needed.

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Semus chuckles by himself for a bit and finds a quiet corner to rest for a few moments. After he catching his breath, Semus heads to the wounded crow, stopping by a street vendor to buy something to eat along the way.

This would go well with some of that fizzy pop..., on second thought, almost anything would!

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

I'll save the fizzy pop bonus for a diplomacy roll in case i need to do some explaining, Semus has no ranks in knowledge local, but thanks for the reminder!

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Semus starts shouting as he darts away dodging the ogre's clumsy attempts to grab him: Coming through!, move aside, angry drunk ogre in pursuit!

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

I hope he is intoxicated enough to get a penalty to his AC :)

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Semus grabs a rock from the ground and steps away at a safe distance (just at the edge of point blank), and throws it at the Ogre...

Rock: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

I am not sure how much damage this would do, but probably not much, semus intention is only to sting him, whatever it is it gets +2 to dmg (Str + pointblank)

He then shouts at the Ogre: Hey Big Ugly, I bet you can't catch me! bolting away at a sign of pursuit. Semus will then use his knowledge of the streets to either lead him to the closest place he is sure to find some dark knights, or to an alley too narrow for the Ogre to follow.

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Semus nods to the solamnic and waves at the others, I shall meet with you at the Wounded Crow one hour past the Sun being at its highest point.

Semus is going to be doing some research on his own regarding this Pegrin character, his possible location or any other useful bit of information.

Diplomacy (Gather Information): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Semus holds his mug for the gnome girl to fill up and raises it with the rest to toast. Eager to taste the fizzy drink he gulps down some and with wideeyes, nods approvingly to the gnome.

He then turns to face the others.

I'll help you, elves are not the only ones these gangs abuse of

My name is Semus, and I currently make Pashin my home

Semus whispers in Kender at Terevalis' comment.

I hope you never have to depends on others charity to feed yourself or those that depends on you

Semus doesn't speak elven, I'll asume you're speaking in common unless you explicitly say otherwise

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

What are the expectations in terms of frequency of posting? :)

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Semus moves quickly in front of the elf and raises a hand in front of him and speaks in a low voice I can help you, but not here, not now... and discreetly points to the Dark Knights

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Seeing as his introduction will have to wait, and always wanting to help those with the odds against them. Semus walks up to the elves, pulls an arrow from his quiver and cleans his finger nails non nonchalantly.

Aye, as any betting man knows, odds can change pretty quickly, you should be wise to know when to fold...

Assist Intimidate: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

That was a stealth check, not perception

Semus is about 3 feet tall, he wears leggins, boots, chain shirt and cloak all his clothes being a mix of earth colors, worn and patched. His hair is short and dark, his eyes move quickly, squinting often.

He carries a small longbow and quivers, and 2 hatchets hang from his belt.

Male Kender Ranger (Trapper) - 1st

Semus starts looking for a target, walking from stall to cart and generally snooping around, unlike most Kenders he feels fear, this has saved his life in more than one occasion, and so he looks for a target unlikely to cause him harm.

He finally spots a female gnome, a most uncommon sight in Pashin, and closes in silently, trying to avoid being seen...

Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20

He then stops and listening to their conversation, it appears he has run into a group of tourists...

He quietly awaits to be acknowledged by the group.

"Welmet folks, I hear you need someone to show you around these parts?"

Semus is an afflicted kender, he was able to survive Malystryx's invasion on Goodlund thanks to he help of many folks, and know he is returning the favor however he can.

I have not picked a Favored enemy for him, I would ask help from the GM for this.
