Trox, or as he thinks of himself "The Jinx', 'The Curse', or 'The Undeserving', has been in Sandpoint for some time. He gets by crafting dolls, most of which he sells at the Swallow Tail Festival. When the unpleasantness broke out he almost grabbed his sword and shield but history kept him back. When the heroes went to clear out the goblins he almost spoke up but did not find the words.

Now the heroes are dead. Again. Was this a new sort of jinx? More dead young men on his hands?

Maybe this time will be different. He thinks as he gets his gear form storage. Maybe I can keep a new team alive this time.

The half-orc heads out to see if he can be of help. Determined that he will not be the last alive this time while his companions die.

If you go healer I will very happily run a sword and board. Probably a fighter but maybe one of the others that can do it. In 30+ years I have never played a fighter.

I think a druid would be a cool healer/versatile class to add to the mix.

There are a few classes that can sub in for different categories.

Ok so it looks like Blue is leaning towards a slayer, I am assuming that is melee/skill. Not knowing your build would we still want a heavy front liner?

I can make pretty much any of the others work though being either a front line heavy or ranged damage is my preferred at the moment. I like Sarh so I am having trouble getting myself to a good caster at the moment.

GM are you think we roll with four or five this time? It looks like one recruit will need to be heals of some sort.

I feel like this one may need old school party balance. I was thinking about this last night, because Sarh makes the forth character I have had die in this AP, and I am of two minds. My first impulse is to make a very survivable front line person, either fighter or slayer. The other thing I am thinking at the moment is ranged damage deal, mundane damage most likely not casters.

I have a long term game where I am playing a healer so I don't really want to go down that rout again.

All that said I am flexible what do you guys want to play?

I am good with any of the three thought I would really like to finish Runelords some day.

I am very happy to make a much much more optimized character and hit this one again. Honestly, because I have an overactive mind, I have come up with three different concepts today that range through almost every roll.

I am also happy to jump into a different game if no one else is keen on keeping things rolling.

Of course all this is dependent on the GM. I do not mind a slow game, I am running three at the moment, but I would not want to stretch the powerful Fuzzfoot.

Well... things look bad for our heroes. I suggest that anyone that can run away do so. Get back to town and recruit some new members.

A shame I thought Sarh had potential but I selected the wrong spells for what we are dealing with.

As the dogs lunge her eyes go wide. [i] I thought talking would buy us time. Better ending like this then in chains I guess. [i/]

I could go for something crazy. Sarh has no interest in being captured. If you come in I could summon a horse right next to them. Its a large animal with 15hp so it would not last long but it could be a distraction and nothing in the spell says it vanishes when it dies. Shame you cannot summon them in the air above things lol.

Sarh pushes herself back towards the door without getting fully up. She grunts to move her bulk as she talks.

"Big blond lady?" grunt and slide "Where you come" grunt and slide "from. You the new" grunt and slide "chief?"

A little of both I am sure. Sarh's spells are not really great at this moment. Stone floors stop her from dropping the dogs in a pit.

Expeditious Excavation is fun but not fun in here.

Sarh does her best to avoid the beasts teeth but gets bit very deeply.

She rolls to the side, trying to avoid the teeth of the monster as she moves. As she settles in her no position laying on the floor she points and a thin beam of energy lashes out at the red dog.

Sarh gives a little ack noise and steps so the piller is between her and the dog. Not feeling confident in a spell she jabs around the pillar with her spear.

Sarh again realizes that the spells that worked good for intimidation do not work well in all situations. All she can do is lob off another spark of electricity.

Cursing undere her breath Sarh shuffles into the room so she can see the dog attack Lucien. Again she calls forth a spark of electricity that she launches at the dog.

Back out Sarh looks at the other five doors and continues munching on her most recent food retrieval.

Bowing her head in the manner of someone who has been beaten down for a long period Sarh does not reply. Still she keeps an eye on the goblin as she leaves thinking. If you were chained and beaten you would not be so kind I think. Still.. I need allies and am better at harming then killing, let it be.

As they begin to ready to move she smiles at Vulpidin. "You are right. No need to be life and death all the time with those who would kill the longshanks." she takes a very large breath and pulls out another snack from her pack "Lets do what we can though."

Sarh waddles up closer to the goblin and fixer her with a hard stare as she speaks first two her companions and then the goblin.

"Can't trust these little pretty one, no." she turns to the goblin "Answer the cat and maybe you can go cause problems for someone else again."

Again she waggles her hand and the ground under the gobliness shakes.

Seeing the harem in a bunch on one side of the room Sarh smiles.

"Look at the pretty little harem. Maybe this is your end too."

Then here eyes lock on the bugbear as she slams her spear into the ground causing the very floor under bugbear to shake.

As much as I loved Sami it is possible that Sarh might turn out to be my favorite character in years. She is at once revolting and compelling to me. I did not even think about how her general presentation plays into some of the themes I know exist in RotRL.

Not sure what map we are on so I cannot find my relationship to the bugbear.

In the morning Sarh is the last to rise but before going about her morning business she reachs into her sack pulling out some hard bread and cheese.

"Thank you for the trust. Here..." she offers up the food "We have dirty work today" deep shuddering breath with a small sigh "and will need a full stomach."

Sarh looks at the others very proud of her self. In her mind she has, by scaring this wretch, proved her value.

"Lets go down. Kill them I think.'

She does at lease pause for a moment.

"Or bury her. Poor thing, not even using her sword like a proper goblin killer."

Sarh's assumption would be that the goblins would be use to noises coming from this room.

Sarh blinks as the blade goes away. Drawing out one more piece of meat on he stick she comments with a big grin on her oblong head.

"Nice trick. Goblin, fox and cat, you have odd company now don't you elf.
Your the respectable one in town I am guessing."

Finishing telling what she knows Sarh pauses for simply saying.

"I can make it easier to kill them I think."

Sarh leverages herself to her feet and take the outstretched hand of Tiyuvi, she uses the had that was not dirtied by the meat on a stick.

"Trusting me will prove a good thing for you. I don't know much any more. I have been locked up" she nudges the body of the recently killed goblin "for some time. Some new poweer is bringing the goblins together but I don't know as much as I did..."

GM, it's up to you what I know I think.

She holds up one finger as she strips the rest of the meat off the meat on a stick and then licks the stick clean before dropping it. Her hand reaches for the pack and another meat on a stick appears in it.

The good news is while seated she seems to have more breath to talk.

"Not my tribe. Well it was but its not. They kept me prisoner didn't like my ideas of not trying to kill the longshanks in town. Goblins kill longshank, longshanks kill goblins, its stupid plan from small stupid goblins."

She pauses and takes a few deep breaths.

"Goblins go with power I have power, tried to force change. There too dumb though. New leaders come and declared me a longshank and made me a captive. There right, I'm tall, size of a dwarf. I will be a longshank and crack their stupid heads."

She look at the group and takes a huge bite off of the meat on a stick.

"They will come after you, I can help, I have magic in my blood and have learned some. I can persuade and intimidate and, if I am sitting, can be a good talker." She smiles seeming very reasonable and truthful.

"If you don't want me after goblins are done I will slip away but alone we can each do little while together we can do much."

The dwarf sized goblin listens to the warchanters pleas and grabs him by the next to pull out from behind the curtain. She pushes him towards the others with one hand while reaching into he back with the other. Her hand comes back quickly holding a piece of cooked meat on a stick which she tears into.

With a gesture she shakes the ground under the warchanter to knock him prone again.

The fat goblin slides into the room, keeping her back to the wall looking from person to person as she mumbles. Her voice wheezing though her common is very good for a goblin, clearly a step above the normal goblin in here.

Once the spell is cast she leans on her spear and moves north, keeping a column between her and Ripnugget as she speaks in a louder voice.
