You've compared Magnimar and Kintargo to San Francisco before, something this San Franciscian finds interesting. What exactly does "like San Francisco" mean to you? San Francisco is one of my favorite cities. I've always admired its topography, its iconic bridges, its liberal bent, the variety of its food, and its diversity. And so there's a big bridge in Magnimar, and it's very diverse, and it's quite the opposite of more traditional/conservative Korvosa. This clue to your political views intrigues me. By the way, have you ever been to the off-topic threads on these forums?
EDIT: The political ones, I mean.

Who got Aroden's record-collection?
Godzilla's even more off limits than beholders. (And if he weren't, he'd be a free agent—he probably fights against the spawn of Rovagug though!)
Aroden made sure to break all his records before he died. Ha! Because Mogaru exists, do we get beholders now?
GM Banesama wrote: The first 3 slots will be a rogue-type, someone with healing, and an arcane-type. The next 3 slots will focus more on warrior types but they can be multiclass/hybrid with rogue, healer, or arcane types. And slot 7-8 will be a lottery.
And for clarification. This will be a long adventure. I'm not sure how long because I've never ran this as a PbP, but I wouldn't be surprise if it takes the rest of 2017.
Okay. My cleric has some healing, but focuses more on buffing preemptively to keep people alive rather than doing damage control. Healing doesn't help you beat the enemy, you know. That being said, I still think she goes in the healer slot.
GM, what slots are you looking to fill? I know we all probably have different opinions on what an optimal party is, but yours is the only one that matters for the purposes of this thread. I just want to know so that I can have some insight into how you plan to pick from all the submissions you are getting.
GM Banesama wrote: Sam the silver dragon wrote: Would I be allowed to have a pet hippogriff? It would be more for flavor, since I can talk to equine creatures. Looked it up. Seems a Combat Trained Hippogriff mount cost 5k. I will allow it but a good portion of Dragon Mountain is a dungeon and any large mount will be unusable for the most part. I don't mind. It would mostly be for flavor and roleplaying, not as an actual mount, since I don't want it to die.

GM Banesama wrote: ElegantlyWasted wrote: GM- Would you consider allowing me to purchase an item that's 1k gold over one of the maximums you listed? I'm specifically thinking of Horseshoes of a Zephyr for my mount. No. The limit stays. Everyone has to go by the same rules. I don't need that much money; you can have some of mine. I will just subtract 1,000 from my money, since I don't intend to even buy a weapon. My character is largely a pacifist.
I guess I can talk to horses now; that could be flavorful.
Okay, I'm going to roll for my alternate special ability, here goes:
1d100: 1d100 ⇒ 94

Can I use the Ecclesitheurge archetype and the Exalted prestige class? Nice ACG archetype as it is nice and flexible, but Ouch on the no armour bit... I am aware, and I know it isn't the most optimal choice, but I'm not really trying to min-max too much, since my build is already strong enough. I eventually decided to go for a cleric of Desna focused on buffing, with the 2 best domains in the game, Travel and Luck. Not sure if I'm going to use the Prestige class though.

Just confirming, this is set on Golarion right?
I would like to play an arcane caster. I will be back with a build once I find a good balanced one.
EDIT: I changed my mind. I will be building an aasimar cleric of Nethys.
Purple Dragon Knight wrote: Stats for Cobyslarni, please! :) You could try using the Oliphaunt of Jandelay from Mythic Realms; it is another giant magic elephant.
I would like to participate in this. I have an idea for a character; he or she would be an aberrant bloodline sorcerer with some ugly deformities. As such, they would be a sideshow attraction at the carnival. I have some more ideas for the character that I will be posting later today; I would like to read what has happened in the campaign so far and figure out how my character could fit in.

I would like to see a lot of reprints, for those of us who are too poor to buy every AP and module in the hopes of getting cool new content for our other campaigns. I would like to see more things in existing categories; in B3, there are some behemoths briefly mentioned in the description that sound amazing, those might be a good pick. Also, can we stop having weird undead from lesser-known mythologies? I like lesser-known mythological monsters as much as the next guy, but we have a crazy amount of undead in this category that either have very specific circumstances in which they form, and even those circumstances overlap. I think we would be better off with some all-new undead rather than trying to stat every zombie or restless spirit from every culture around the world. Some of them are great, but some just don't make any sense. I do want more of these lesser-known mythological creatures, but please no undead, and be careful picking ones that fit into the existing fluff of pathfinder.
DM Mathpro wrote: I will allow the twins but triplets takes up to may seats at the table sorry. If the twins are selected I'll probably end up taking a party of 5-6 to offset the demand that two "pre-selected" characters creates. Not that you guys have been chosen yet. Ok. I already said that I backed down on that but I responded to the wrong post so it wasn't very clear what I was trying to say. Sorry about that.
Thecooldudenextdoor wrote: man, no occult :( still, I may submit something just because I really like this ap. Ok, I did like the idea, but I'll leave that up to them and work on and alternate character

So, what I'm asking is if anyone likes this idea and would like to make a conjunct submission with me! (Since I doubt the DM would allow me to play the 2 PCs, lol)
I'd be more interested in the rogue part, but the other side would be pretty open, just focusing, if possible, on teamwork feats. I would so go in on that with you. Been wanting to do a teamwork build for a while but I can never find someone willing to do it (despite how powerful they can be) Triplets? I would so do this.
This seems cool. I have an idea for a dwarf inquisitor and I will try to post it later today.
Unknown Silver Dragon Unique Great Wyrm Silver Dragon
Now that the holidays are over do you think we can start up again?
119: The GM who is determined to make the paladin fall.
I might want to play as a cliché elf. Can't really decide between arcane caster who goes out of her way to be mysterious or a nature-obsessed druid.
Unknown Silver Dragon Unique Great Wyrm Silver Dragon
This party seems like it will be a blast to roleplay.

My character is finally ready! Tell me if you have any questions critiques, or suggestions. Looks pretty good, although you need to either cut the line that says +3 armor, or change the AC to 15, and you only get two traits unless there is a drawback im missing. But in all seriousness, the character looks sharp. Thanks. Will do. I look forward to starting.
EDIT: All better now. The extra trait was an alternate racial trait that I took that I put in the wrong spot, and the AC issue was because I based my character of a different character sheet that had +3 armor and I forgot to change that.
kyrt-ryder wrote: Just for clarity David, when you say Average plus one each additional level, do you mean....
Rotating low-high average plus one [so d8 results in 5 at level 2, 6 at level 3, 5 at level 4 and so on]

Average round down plus one [so d8 results in 5 at all levels]
Average round up plus one [so d8 results in 6 at all levels]
I already gave my word to play in Sam's game so I won't be participating here, but since I sort of initiated this movement I figured I'd watch it and go ahead and ask for this clarification early.
I don't really have time to run a game right now, so go ahead and lay in this one
I decided to be an Elf Cleric of Gozreh, because elves are amazing and Gozreh is the second most thematic deity after Besmara for S&S, I don't like Besmara much. I will be the Ecclesitheurge archetype so that I can be the most versatile, and I found some sick stuff for Gozreh in Inner Sea Gods. Mechanically I will focus on summons and battlefield control.
I would like to play in this so that I can figure out what my all cleric Iron gods will be like. As for a character, I think I want to be a cleric of Gozreh, but I don't know about race yet.
david barker wrote: Sam what ap are you going to run Probably Iron Gods. Sorry the recruitment isn't up; I was out of town this weekend.
david barker wrote: i should have something posted by the end of the week me too
Thank you so much everyone for the help. I will make the Recruitment Thread shortly.
kyrt-ryder wrote: SodiumTelluride wrote: Clerics have always been my favorite class; they are (or can be) as diverse and thematic as the gods themselves. Might build a character for this. What books/resources are open? I'm hoping the GM's allow All Paizo Material, but thus far none of the GM's have initiated a recruitment thread as far as I'm aware. I will allow all Paizo material. I would make a recruitment thread, but I'm new to these forums and don't know how.
Edelsmirge wrote: Alright, I am down for making a cleric who acts like a bard and I personally know you can cleric like a thief (trickery) for the right god and get disable device as a trait, and I also know you can smack face hard w a front line cleric. Personally no Iron Gods for me too futuristic. Let me know and I will post a character post haste If you don't want IG, could you suggest a different AP?
I know I've never liked the weapon proficiency rules. I might make Technologist into a feat tree that allows better tech crafting and proficiency.

GORUM CHAINSAW BLAAAAARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thunderbeard wrote: You mean half-elves, who get one feat *more* restricted than the one humans get?
The main problem with an all-cleric Iron Gods is that nobody will actually be able to use the majority of the plasma cannons/grenades/etc., and you'd wind up with a party of mostly traditional clerics in an unfamiliar setting.
I might make a house-rule to help with that. Dunno what it would be though.
PirateDevon wrote: I also would vote first for Iron Gods "ray guns for the gods" is just to good to pass up IMHO "For Iomedae!!!" *pew* *pew* *pew*
So far we are leaning towards Iron Gods. Remember, we will have at least to games going and we are going to do different APs.
The Dragon wrote: Sam the silver dragon wrote: kyrt-ryder wrote: My vote is split.
Wrath of the Righteous IF used without Mythic
Iron Gods if WotR without Mythic is too much work on the GM. Why don't you like Mythic? I could modify the mythic rules if you want. I think the reasoning here is that the AP is much too easy for mythic characters to present them with reasonable challenge. Well, I do love buffing monsters.

Let's start voting on APs. I will put the main ones suggested below; please leave a post saying which one you would like to see me or david barker run.
- Wrath of the Righteous
- Hell's Rebels
- Iron Gods
- Skull and Shackles
kyrt-ryder wrote: If you're planning on running a game Sam, my suggestion would be to initiate a Recruitment thread like this one, including a note on which AP you're planning to run [I recommend an AP because they're the best 'start to finish Published Paizo experience' available] and a note that you're only accepting Cleric characters.
Then provide a link in here to that Recruitment Thread.
I would, but I'm not good at using these forums yet.
As for an AP, I'm thinking Hell's rebels or WotR.
PirateDevon wrote: I'm a little lost on where things are shaking out. Is there one game? Two? REcruitments or is there enough interest here that we will use whoever has chimed n to this point? Ack! I need clarity! lol. At this point I think two games would be great but I don't know how we are going to do recruitment. kyrt-ryder would know better than me.
kyrt-ryder wrote: Wrath of the Righteous sounds excellent.
If both David and Sam are planning to run cleric crews through differing adventures that gives twice the experimental results and allows twice the players to play.
Since I offered to help Sam I'll play in his game.
Good idea. We are still looking for adventures to run and suggestions would be welcome.
I'll do it whenever I can
I have Wrath of the Righteous and Reign of Winter
david barker wrote: if i had any ap i would run one Is there a way I could send you the PDFs?
I might make another thread about making awesome cleric themes and builds.
Inner sea gods would be an amazing resource for making Clerics.
