Apologies for the delay, I'll have something up tonight. Variel won't let Barbara be taken out ...

@Sentry- Like Burgurk said, if you plan on picking up a gun and using it at some point, you will need Shooting. SPC states that you need Focus for it, because using your power and shooting a weapon are two different things, which is why it takes an arcane roll to hit with Bolt, rather than Shooting. If you never plan on using a gun, keep it at Focus. If you do, maybe look at changing some points to Shooting.

@Burgurk- Unless I am missing something, Evade is for explosive or area attacks and are a reaction, but you are in a location that has a bunch of cover, even almost full cover (-8) if you want it. If you are thinking Defend, that is for melee attacks only.

@Terry- I had you moving towards the APC for your turn, but I did not see any other actions. You are there in the same location as the APC and Invisible.

Copy that and thank you (both); I will move Sentry's points to Focus and repost his stats. This is another case of pride & parenting; Sentry will have been conditioned by his parents to rely on his own powers, not the devices of this world.

DM-S & Zen: do I need to adjust this version of Sentry also? Is shooting also worthless in this case because his Gamma Vision needs to use Focus? Just thought I would ask. I can do the adjustments quickly ...

Sentry will race to engage the Cycles before they take aim on the Free Folk

That map is awesome, thanks for the reminder

"As soon as we kick this off, I'll go over there sis; I doubt they'll be expecting air support from this slaving camp."

No problem, Barbara can stay visible, draw some enemy attention anyway :)

Sentry is with Barbara, hovering about 7 feet away from the left shoulder of the G10

Bart invisibly makes a cup of insta-coffee as he waits his turn :)

That's a joke about my characters, this game and others, having a hard time pulling higher than a 5 in savage worlds based games..

Pretty sure your coffee-making is uncontested, so rolling a 5 would totally be okay ;)

Ounce - thanks for the map!

I was going to suggest the same thing for the card/grid location names - it's much easier to locate a square if there's a pattern to its name ("2C" immediately tells us second row, third column).

Everyone please note - apparently anyone can edit the map, so be careful not to click-and-drag anything when you're looking at it. If the grid isn't centered in your screen, use the horizontal and vertical position bars to center it, don't click-and-drag the grid to center it.

ALSO:

(Advice from a professional map-breaker) Just keep in your mind that if you DO mess up, you can catch yourself; if you accidently bring up the map and reflexively drag it, the next thing you should do is click on the UNDO arrow up at the top of the screen. As long as you caught yourself, you should be able to get the map back to its starting point, after which you can move it like Zen said.

That seems totally fair: seems like something he would have practiced when he & Barbara were younger (a couple of years ago)

Can Sentry carry a person with him as he flies?

With STR@d6, I kinda do not think so, but it also has more to do with how much weight we think his flight power negates. But he doesn't have any super str or anything. DM?

"Sis, say the word, and I will take off and get behind them. I don't NEED to go sonic but stafing them and producing a sonic boom over their convoy could be fun."

Sentry is hovering next to the G-10 clearly watching the Coalition Forces with his Telescopic Vision

"A little gamma vision into the rear of that APC should set them into a tailspin; it isn't like they're so maneuverable that they can all 180 on a dime. What do you think?"

"and at some point, someone who isn't me, who knows a lot more about whatever PPE is and what "shaping the world around them" means, will ask our new friends if they can shape the world around them in a way that will help us defend them ... right? Whatever powers they have that make them such valuable slaves could in fact make them really handy in this fight."

Sentry lifts off to fly over to Barbara's position saying, "Just a thought."

I (the player) was a little confused as to how to interpret the other PC's comments, so I passed that confusion onto Burgurk...

I believe Jingu could make me invisible for some time, but its player seems to be MIA.
Anybody have any ideas as to how I can get within my range without being seen?

Provided that Sentry could carry Burgurk, up/over/behind would be my suggestion; I think it's really unlikely these folks would be expecting the G-10, let alone air support. Sentry could bring you to within 100' of the back of their team and you could both let loose.

"That actually seems perfect to me, because if they have Barbara drawing fire initially, and then an ambush dividing their attention, I could very easily fly around the back of their force to take them by surprise."

"If our Glitter Girl takes the high ground, we will absolutely have their attention while you all are making your way out of here, but it's also worth remembering, this is business to them. Getting their "goods" is what they will be focused on. They will be wary of seeing a G10, but they'll be focused on their payout. We may need to distract them."

Burgurk wrote:
"I can mentally stir up the dust and dirt on the ground around the entire camp to provide cover for us. They'll know something's up, but not what. Then we let them get close enough to us for us to hit them, and attack. Anyone else got any other ideas?"

"With love, it would take a BUNCH of dust and dirt to hide a G-10, not sure if that was part of the plan. I would suggest that we strategically position our Glitter Girl as either a target or scarecrow or both. I can be undetectably far above her keeping an eye on things, and when their sighted and we have their bearing, I can fly behind them and distract them while this group moves out of the debris field."

Sentry taps his comm, "Barbara did you catch all that?"

"Just a thought really; we could add some sniper fire to that plan and really have something."

Barbara's attention to scanners is derailed a bit by the greeting from the other crew. The G-10 armor raises a hand to wave, a painted stamp on the left shoulder showing a picture of a grinning unicorn's head with scrollwork around it that reads "GLITTER BOY." The pop of a radio comm changing to an open channel signals a modulated, voice-disguised pilot replying, "We're on the side of kicking the asses of slave-takers and tinpot wannabe tyrants."

"Truth be told, we had actually thought we might need to do some of the ass-kicking; guess not though."

Bart Swanson SWRifts wrote:

Bart shakes his head, cursing his luck.

"Well. That was spectacular. Not sure that was all us unless that boom gun hit an ammo depot. Keep your eyes open."

He then cautiously advances. When he passes the first of the new freed beings he will keep his rifle pointed away from them and nod.
"Any coalition soldiers still active?"

"None that I could see on my way here."

Sentry flies down to the camp, smiling at the dragon kitten.
"The great one IS probably hungry, but not planning to eat you or to enslave you. Fair question though; is there anyone hurt or who needs medical attention?'

Sentry take overwatch seriously, looking for problems and looking for prime targets

Waiting for Barbara to be fully entrenched in the G-10, Sentry then takes off for the highground Terry had indicated, flying nap-of-the-earth as he approached; he could go high and bright later if there were a need to draw fire.

When he arrived, he lit up his Telescopic Vision to review the camp, looking for any conversations he might want to overhear.

Barbara Lance wrote:

"The Boom Gun fires a hypersonic flechette round. This means that in addition to flechettes deflecting from the target and saturating the area with shrapnel, the energy transfer to the target essentially makes it explode. So, while the round itself doesn't carry an explosive charge, the massive impact makes the target explode as if it were hit with an artillery shell. Basically anyone who isn't heavily protected and within about... a dozen meters. Like those D-bees."

The Boom Gun uses the shotgun rules for innocent bystanders, meaning there's a high likelihood of accidentally hitting adjacent targets.

"In addition, the sonic shockwave from the Boom Gun will knock down anyone who isn't inside or wearing power armor if they are adjacent to me when I fire it," she says. "So I have to get a little distance from the rest of the team."

"or the team needs to get a little distance from you, yeah. My point in getting behind them was to be a distraction from the rest of our team being in front of them by the way, not to go in by myself. Might not totally be opposed to going in by myself either, but that doesn't make it a good idea. Do we have an idea how many captives there are?"

Bart Swanson SWRifts wrote:

Bart pulls some binoculars out to get a better look at the vehicles.

"Twenty troopers at least. One or two of those vehicles might be a problem. Not the best odds. We need to surprise them."

"Wouldn't take much for me to get behind them, that might be a surprise."

K12 (pre):

"Bertha always means "big"? I think in my head I had thought maybe only some Berthas were big, and I guess I thought others might simply be talented. Size DOES matter though ... "

Sentry smiles, but there are clearly some wistful thoughts flitting behind his eyes as they dimmed and stopped glowing.

"I had to focus on my powers a lot growing up, my parents wanted to make sure that I knew how to control myself. They said that I didn't get to indulge myself, but what they meant is that I didn't get to be normal. To be honest, if Barbara hadn't told me stories, I would never have known what a juicer was."

K12 (pre):
As she offered her hand to the new guy, Terry, Barbara heard a familiar sound from above, much like the crack of thunder although a great deal more brief. She anticipated the gust of wind, knowing her friend Sentry was about to arrive.

Slowing his descent just above the helmet of her Glitter Girl armor, the young man exclaimed, ”Hey! You fixed the HUD wiring! Nice work, that looks brilliant!” Sentry beamed at Barbara as he landed beside her. ”G10 looks ready for anything … who are we meeting?” There were times x-ray vision seemed extraordinary; there were also times it seemed a little eerie and off-putting. Sentry was a good egg though, they’d known each other a very long time. Without powers, aliens like him passed for regular humans, just any other D-Bee really.

”Just kidding, I heard who we’re meeting.”
”Hey Terry! Hey Bart!
”I’m Sentry.”

He seemed as though he was about to say more, but something distracted him.
”So sorry … I swear someone in the castle is burning bananas …” he quickly turned to Bart, ”and that rifle really fires a primary energy beam, an ion stream, and propellant based ammunition!? How is that even a thing?”
