Nathan has had enough of these petty thugs and decends to stand next to Angel. "Obviously there are two points of argument with my colleagues statement; what "we" all want, and what is necessary. What I want is probably to hurt all of you enough to create an impression that you remember, and I consider that to be totally necessary." Sentry smiles as his eyes begin to glow "I am willing to defer to my teammates though. What will it be?"

This makes total sense, and is also consistant with Sentry's upbringing: his parents would have been VERY clear about not using anything V'Sori ever. That it would be an insult to his heritage. I'll do the re-org and also fix his Hindrances this afternoon :)
GM_ZenFox42 wrote: Sentry - I just noticed in the Supers book that energy attacks use a Focus roll, not Shooting. It's not a problem since both your associated Attributes have the same die value, it's just a name change. But it IS the entire reason that Sentry has points in shooting; can he swap out some of those points to elevate Focus? (No is a totally acceptable answer, but I wanted to ask. He will have practiced with Gamma Vision a LOT, he will probably never have handled a gun that he wasn't destroying)

My only addition might be the addition ... of Sentry, but that may not actually be consequential at this point so the omission makes total sense.
Fortune Brav0 wrote: Sounds good. Fortune will disguise herself as described earlier. They could walk around first and see if anyone hassles them. Then, if nothing, they can ask around to find out where the gang hangs out and locate their leader. Do we have a profile of the people who are being targeted (other than 'weak'? Maybe we could dress up and/or act like that to see if we get picked on
"With love, I need to be honest, our culture doesn't have a long memory for much of anything at this point; there was a time in my early teens that it was hard for me to show up in public without being recognized, now though, a lot has changed. That said, in costume, I am already known, and happy to be the "poster hero" for a justice smackdown if that's what we need. My parents loved stuff like that."

We might do "Good Cop, Less-Good Cop". It could be that some of you go in soft, plain clothes, make nice ... and then message me on comms when you want the dramatic fly-by. Even people who aren't all that familiar with me are familiar with my parents. You can even say something funny like, "Don't make him angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry." Sentry does kind of laugh at his own joke "Then I can look at a car nearby, give it some Gamma Vision, make some noise, and we can leave."
I've had a few bouts of food poisoning across the years, this was just intense, and tbh painful which was weird. Def on the mend though, thank you. Enough to sit here and fire up savaged and copy out some data for sure.

Sentry gets a look, hard to place, but not quite sad "There was a time when there was novelty and at least a little bit of fun being a 2nd generation hero, there were not a lot of us. At this point though, I'm not sure there are any others left. I want people to remember those times though, the time of heroes. I want the Vs to remember how afraid of us they are."
"I would so totally love to ... but I'd don't know if your base has healthcare, and it would be a shame to damage you when we've only just met." The young man clearly smiles at his own joke, and looks back over his should to wink at Fortune as he walks a little further into the impressive space. "To be fair though, I also come with a bunch of "son of" coverage back in the day, so the easy to find stuff is, well, easy to find. "The Son of Warden & Zephyr inherits power of flight!" "A bullet bounces off of The Son of Warden & Zephyr!" "X-Ray Vision!?!? The Son of Warden & Zephyr out-powers his parents!" At one point, it was a little much to be honest. So yeah, you first."

So sorry! I think I thought I did that for BOTH Sentrys, but it seems I did not. Will take care of it later this afternoon.

Completely agree - glad to write in that there's a "doorbell" but having a base is definately a thing, a cool one. Some of my favorite scene's from Titans are in their huge condo in San Francisco.
He walked. He walked several blocks, which was something he became more and more used to after the attack. Fly somewhere, land out of sight, put on a trench coat, act like you were normal. It sucked. When his parents trained him, they never conceived of this. That ended. Ended quite some time ago. Quite some time ago for someone who just turned 20; maybe for much older people it seemed like a shorter time. Not for Sentry. For Sentry, it felt like he had lived without his parents a whole lifetime. Warden & Zephyr symbolized iconic heroism, not simply for the pursuit of justice, but also for the pursuit of legacy, for having had a son; for actually having created a succession that the whole world kept its eye on at one point. Until the V’s vaporized them. So he walked. He landed several blocks from where Meros told him to meet the heroes. There hadn’t seemed to be a lot of activity when he scouted from the sky, and when he focused, he didn’t seem to hear anything either; all of which could mean the team was on the assignment they’d been given. It would probably be just as well to case the place, see if it had a doorbell, or if maybe he was supposed to knock on a window or something. What he found looked like an old school intercom, functioned like a comm panel, and blended in so well only someone like himself would have found it: ”Hey, uh, my name is Sentry. I’m here about the fish. The dolphins. They fly by night … “ Hopefully that did the trick. His instructions didn’t say to act or sound like a total gooner, so deviating from the vintage vid format seemed okay. Taking a deep breath and intoning “the password I was given is …” would be way over the top and way too Downton Abbey. No sense having everyone think he was lame right at the get go. Perspicacious Wanderer has not created a profile. |
