DM: Playing in 20+ games and running 26 (soon to be 27) is time consuming. Outside of the boards I have a fairly busy work schedule and of course a life!
Often I find that if I fall behind in updates, I need to make time to simply update a Discussion Thread to inform the PCs of a particular game that I am either going to be posting later in the day or week or will be on a break form the boards for one reason or another. To save time updating so many damn threads I am going to open this thread and link all of my DM aliases (and PC aliases) to this thread to inform people as to my status. So if I am missing for a time, just go ahead and click on the link in my Avatar and you will be able to ascertain my board status. My sincerest apologies if this is a bit of an inconvenience where you are waiting on me for an action but posting "I will be away for the next 3 days" 47 times (or more) is just not working for me any longer. Thank you for your understanding!
Russel remains quiet awaiting Nomi's response. He does pick up the security tool-kit by her door though. "Nice kit".
Russel clicks his blaster to stun and fires! Blaster Attack
Russel will grab his blaster and head to the door, opening it to se what the commotion is.
"I'll take your silence as a no. At any rate, they are hardened killers... Above my abilities to deal with but ahhh not yours. I'd like to learn a few tricks from you. No need to answer me right now but think on it as you sleep, or whatever it is you people do..." Russel takes his leave to get some rest after the beating he took in the arena, even medical attention is not the same as natural sleep.
Russel follows her and then gets a bit red in the face when she begins to disrobe, "Uh well uh. OK". Russel tries to look at her while not looking at her. "So Kalus confirmed to me something I was suspicious of. You're not quite like the rest of us, you have... gifts. I think I might need someone like you for what I intend to do. You see, I had to abandon you all back on Felucia cause I did not see how I could accomplish my goals there. That I did was fortuitous cause it led me to here and to the information I have long sought. My enemy is a dangerous one but you are dangerous too aren't you? Have you ever hear of the GenoHaradan?"
GM Kip: Did I get anything else out of Jerel that night in our cell?
Russel let's Kalus' comments pass without retort. Instead he follows Nomi, "Hey, can I talk to you for a second. I know you said it's not my business so I won't bring up whatever that was but I have some other business to discuss with you".
Russel is a bit taken aback by the exchange, "Well I was gonna start by thanking you all for saving my ass back there... everything ok between us all? We gotta stick together in a place like this".
Website's been killing me lately. I'll get something up tonight, even if I have to hand deliver it to someone with a keyboard and physical server access. LOL, yep it's been pretty painful lately...
Russel grimaces at the sight of Jerel's death as the man turned out to be not what he thought he was after all. Still, he got what he wanted and the man may have been helpful but he was a slaver and an assassin and probably got what was coming to him... He accepts the cylinder and is glad he will be retaining his head, thanks to his old allies. He nods and grins at Kalus.
In shared company and with eyes and ears abounding though Russel keeps his mouth shut.
Russel in a Cell: He nods but his face registers no emotion as if he knew it all along. "Tell me Jerel, do you know what she discovered or have any idea of what it was. More importantly any idea what GenoHaradan sold her out? I'm putting together a list and I'll need the names for it. Varta's a good place to start but more names would be helpful".
The dreaded post monster strikes again! :-(
"Argghhh. Oh f**~ this droid!" Russel stands and rushes to gun-fu space with the Droid and unloads his blaster at the damn thing.

Russel runs to where Avizzi was and fires at the Droid. Blaster Attack -
Once more, his shot goes wild.
DM:
"Actually it means a LOT to me see cause you are the last point of contact I have to find out about what happened to my family..."

Hmm, I did not realize we were using Destiny Points. Don't have the book with me, can I use a Destiny Point for a re-roll?
Russel shakes his head as the droid continues to target him but he has not done his job yet, Nomi has to get assistance against two foes. Gotta make this one count! Blaster Pistol
Yet once again, Russel is out of luck...
Russel grits his teeth he then shifts to the other side of the rock and fires at the Gamorrean's threatening Nomi. Blaster Pistol
However, the pain of successive injuries is beginning to take a toll on Russel...

Russel moves forward so to get a better shot at the foes, always one for aggression he pushes as close as he can and fires at the Droid. Blaster Pistol - Blaster Damage DM Kip: Though I did get to speak to him the night before so hopefully I will get what I need from him then!
Russel takes his own weapons back and grins at Jerel, "Stick close to me pal and we'll get out of this alive. Just don't shoot my allies, cause ya' know, they'll shoot back..."
Russel winks at the crew as he is lead away, "Uh, you are all gonna fight with me right guys?" DM: Russel comes along without resistance, as he is lead to the dungeons he nods to Jerel, "Just don't put me in with him, I can't stand the guy and it would make my stay here that much more miserable..."
Russel knows the game is up, he need his man and he needs him alive. He whispers to Taril, "Remember, I need Jerel alive and uh... you guys placed me in the Iron Ring as a spy if Darga asks". He draws Jerels' blaster already set on stun and aims it at Gokru! "Drop your weapon you filthy Zabrak, it's over for you!"
Russel waits for his former allies' reaction, anticipating or perhaps hoping for a battle.
Russel palms Jerel's blaster and switches it to stun.
Russel whispers back to Taril, "Let's see how Avizzi's play goes. All I want is fifteen minutes alone with my target, nothing else. Perhaps if you all help me I can help you? We are after all former comrades".
Russel grins wryly at Jerel, DM - Jerel:
"Oh I guess I must have been seeing things then. Wait, I think I see someone here I know..." Russel slides Jerel's blaster up his sleeve and begins sliding towards grin on his face, "Hey pretty Lady, don't I know you from somewhere?" As he gets closer to Taril he whispers, "The one I was just talking to, I need him alive. What are you all doing here?"
Russel holds his face as evenly as possible in seeing his former companions here at Darga's Court. His eyes carefully scan the room. Perception Events move faster than he has time for, Russel slips closer to Jerel and whispers into his ear, DM - Jerel:
"That damned twi'lek botched it! The powder hit the floor and missed the cup, what are we going to do now?" Russel as close as he is now, tries to pull Jerel's blaster from its holster. Stealth + Fool's Luck

Sounds good. I know that homebrews can be daunting take your time and post when inspired. My Vampire game here on the boards has had some inactivity time when the ebb of my creativity was low but as long as you stick with it all will be well!
Russel wakes in the morning and cooks himself breakfast. He then text messages Aaron to confirm their plan to meet at the Gallery that same time tonight to walk the event together. He then spends the morning grading papers. Mid-day making lunch along with a litany of excuses not to hit the gym. Successfully warding off that particular chore he then calls his patients for the next few days to confirm their appointments. Finally, as the day begins to grow short, he pulls out the Ricky Thompson file that he has and reviews it to refresh his recollection on the investigation... Finally, he gets into his car and drives once more to the Gallery.
I have nothing else to do for the rest of the day, so unless Russel wants to continue our conversation for a while I'm ready to move on if you want to get to the next day. We're good, let's assume we discussed the other case you asked for assistance with.
Russel nods to Michelle as she heads off and smiles at Derek, "I appreciate it Derek but having already eaten pizza I think I need a salad". Turning to Aaron he shrugs, "Any place with a decent salad is fine for me. Agreed, they are kids but sometimes you can gain insight from someone who was closer to the age of the... disappeared than you can from even the most seasoned investigator".
Russel smiles at Diana, "Nice to meet you Summer. I suppose we may all be seeing you tomorrow Diana if Ricky is the reason why you came here to begin with. Enjoy the movie". Russel shrugs at Derek, "I have an early class still on the calendar for tomorrow so it might just be on a Professor by Professor basis. I suppose tonight is not the night for answers. I ate dinner already but if you are all interested I could eat again, my treat. I don't think we'll get much more standing here unless we snoop after hours..." He states glancing at the man who could make that happen.
Russel grimaces and the movement of his face accentuates his burn marks, "Well sometimes scars are on the inside not just the outside. So Derek, that Exhibit is getting a great deal of press it seems. Good to see you. Indeed, as I said this gathering is no coincidence. Nice to meet you as well Michelle. So do you know Jonah Vane?"
Wait no I'm confused, was Russel a professor at Romney state or HIT? I am an adjunct so I could teach at both! Russel has child support to pay after all!!!
At the Gallery:
Russel smiles at Summer, "Good on you, it's important to get people outside and moving around".
Russel smiles and clasps hands with Aaron, "This is a pleasant coincidence. Aaron, meet Ms. Diana Smith, current undergraduate student and future best selling author and her friend Summer. Absolutely, I can always spare time for you my friend. We don't get many in this world Lord knows so when you find a good one you need to have their back! As an aside, I did not come down here for a walk, I came down here cause I got a call regarding the Thompson case and it seems I am not the only one". Russel gestures towards the woman speaking with the Artist. "I heard her asking about Ricky and tried to eavesdrop when I saw Ms. Smith here and decided to say hello. I would bet on the fact that it is not a coincidence then that you are here, you get a similar call?" Aaron: Thanks for the refresh on that one!
At the Gallery: Russel grins at Diana's response, "I am glad you are not a super villain as I am not in shape to do anything heroic today.
A wandering mind is an inquisitive one, no harm in that Ms. Smith, you would be surprised how often my mind wanders when I grade tests and papers. I understand AI has had some solid development it is of course not my field of expertise but perhaps someone should look into it. I mean there are dog and cat psychologists out in LA why not psychologists for theoretical intelligences made manifest right? So do you come down here often and wander around or are you here for a specific purpose?" He asks making idle chatter but keeping an ear out for the conversation that had mentioned Ricky's name.
At the Gallery:
A taller than average black male with his hair in dreadlocks walks near the front entrance. One side of his face appears to have been burned at some point long ago, the skin grafts helped but not much. His belly is a bit large but does not sit too terribly on his frame.
As the woman approaches the artist and asks about Ricky she peaks his curiosity. However, he stops short when he sees Diana approaching and walks in her direction. "Ms. Smith? How are you? This is the first time I have seen you off campus. Tell me, how are you enjoying my Psychology course?" He then pauses and introduces himself to Diana's friend, "I am Professor Wilcox or Dr. Wilcox depending on your preference". He smiles. Diana:
As per our discussion you have me as a Psych Professor in this current Fall semester. Derek: As per our discussion, you came to see me for Psych assistance or Meds or both. Note that I would not acknowledge you based on patient Dr,. confidentiality but I would of course respond to you if prompted.
No worries take your time.
Russel is going tonight to scope it out!
DM: Russel attempts to order tickets online for the event. Once that is done he will call in for an order of pizza, eat dinner and then head over to the Exhibit.
DM: "Thanks again Detective, I will see you there".
Russel will hang up his cell and pop on his laptop conducting a search for the Stroehmann Gallery on Ninth Street to see if anything about the exhibit tonight jumps out at him.
Russel & GM: "Ah, Detective Banner, a welcome call even if the topic is not one that brings cheer to my heart.
Tell me, will you be attending the exhibit? Also, is this something I can look up on the internet or should I get the specifics from you so I don't miss it? I certainly would like to assist in any way I can with the case, after all Ricky was a young bright student of mine and I would like to bring his family closure if possible".
Or we'll all die horribly! I think that is the fun part the DM means :-) EDIT: Updated based on GM comments.
