Although we are all partners in this venture, I feel Mooshy has the 51st share and since he asked for time to recouperate I will wait for him to return.

COOL+3 | Hard=0 | Hot+1 | Sharp+1 | WEIRD-1 | Armor 0 | Harm 2/6 | EXP 2

I think we are all checking in once in a while to see when Mooshy returns. Still no activity but lots of interest. :)

While Scarlet and Seth perform delicate robot surgery, Runner carries the lifeless body of the former Annie's Army trooper to the stairwell they came up in.
He gently sets her down and places the limbs in a natural resting position; arms crossed, legs curled to the side.
When he stands back up and looks down at the dead girl, he shivers at the grotesqueness and violation the electrical cables represent.
-
-
I have enemies I would not wish this sh!t on and they did this to a kid?!?
FVCK Them. FVCK THEM ALL!

-
When he returns to stand behind the group he says quietly,
"We need to find Camo's bird and get the hell outta this place."

As the terrarium sinks into the floor like everything else, Runner grabs the child's body and pulls it free from underneath.

When the shaking and rumbling begins AND at the sound of Seth's voice yelling "Pause Program!", Runner tries to click on the Cancel button.
-
Simultaniously he yells, "SETH, PALLOR - You NEED to see THIS! HURRY!"

Old tech has always fascinated Runner.
He would spend hours watching Seth work wonders with the machines in his workshop back at Walker's.
Much he did not understand but some of it made sense to him.
-
THIS, however, made no sense and creeped him the F*ck Out!
-
As the screen flickered to life, the cables attached to the iguana's eye sockets begin to pulsate.
A green glow seeps out from around the eyelids and a bit of black ooze also.
Other cables, seemingly buried deep into the reptilian bodies, twist and suck at the plump leathery torsos, apparently pulling energy.
A sticky tongue darts out and slurps up a cricket that strayed too near a gaping mouth.
The attached machinery hums a little louder just then.
-
"What the Fuh?" is all Runner can mutter as his foot bumps into a mound of shriveled skin and hair partially pushed under the terrarium.
As he bends down to get a closer look, he sees the sheared-off ends of more black cables protruding from the body of a human child.
It is wearing the same military-style uniform as those kids who were helping them downstairs.

Runner inspects the monitor and tries to turn it on;
-
"There has got to be a switch or something or maybe jiggling the mouse or whatever. How do these things work?"

"Server Farm? Internet?
There ain't bin no Internet for a hundred years.
You seen it?
You had some?
What was it like?"

-
Runner wanders over to one of the "servers" and brushed his hand across the top in awe.
-
"They say the Internets had Holo-Hookers and you could see 'em naked anytime you wanted."

Runner wasn't much on leading but he knew how to run and it seemed they were running from Mutants right now so he heads upstairs.
Holding the pipe rifle out in front as he rounds a few corners, Runner cautiously creeps forward looking for the door to the next floor.

Seth "Volcano" Hafner wrote:
"Super Mutants...lots of 'em...but only on this floor. Up above it's all machines. Probably doesn't trust 'em compared to an obedient and unthinking computer. That's both good and bad. We go up, we won't have to fight 'em...but if we have to turn back, they'll be between us and the exit.""[/b]

-

"Man, if we have a choice between facin' Muties or sneakin' passed them, I'm all for sneakin'.
Besides, maybe there is another way out that does not include running into them.?"

-
With that said, he takes a few steps up toward the next floor to see what is up ahead.

Runner watches all this insanity go down from the relative safety of the hallway.
From past experience, Runner knew Von was the sh!t but it looked like this new guy was just as hard.. or just as crazy.
-
I remember Vonya poppin' that guys head like a grape; up in Pinecreek near the CanAm border.
He really needed to meet a guy up there for something important.
I don't usually care who hires my wheels or why or where they need to go but that trip was super weird for so many reasons...

-
As the scene inside the drug store remains tense, Runner keeps watch on the long hallway outside.

COOL+3 | Hard=0 | Hot+1 | Sharp+1 | WEIRD-1 | Armor 0 | Harm 2/6 | EXP 2

"Holy Sh!t.!?!!"
Runner dives for cover out into the hallway and only looks back in when he hears Volcano's vocal eruptions chastising the two knuckleheads.
-
"Know him? I just met him after we rescued his a$$ from freeway raiders, South Side Kings I think.
He could be as crazy as you for all we know.
But yeah, bein' a new thaw from Vault City would tend to make anyone a little on edge so... maybe give him a break?
Soldierboy, Von is no kid-killer an' he will come around after the Battlehaze leaves him.
Chill and put that thing down. huh? O.K.?"

Preferring the open road and never very comfortable in close quarters, Runner keeps watch out the front doors and looks back at the group frequently.
-
"Hey, remember guys, we are in some strangers house and he probably doesn't like us being here.
Can we get the loot and move on, please?"

Looking for Loot...: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 4) + 3 = 8
Runner is slowly coming out of his post-being-an-a$$hole funk and needs something to cheer him up.
Besides valuables, he looks thru the junk for bandannas or colorful cloth items...
...maybe candy but that would probably be hoping for too much.
There is never any candy. Too much scavenging and time has gone by for much of that to be left lying around.
After that he looks into helping Seth deal with the cameras.

COOL+3 | Hard=0 | Hot+1 | Sharp+1 | WEIRD-1 | Armor 0 | Harm 2/6 | EXP 2

Runner continues his impersonation of a shadow and tries to stay as inconspicuous as possible.
He follows along behind the main group and keeps his eyes open up ahead for any threats that might emerge from doorways or stairwells.
Periodically, he itches random places on his body and mutters under his breath.

Runner heads toward the sound of Chief's voice which finally shakes him free enough to collect himself and realize what a colossal sh!tshow he just unleashed.
-
His embarrassment is quite evident on his face and when Chief raises and eyebrow of inquiry at him he just shrugs and says, "tell ya later."
-
He then slides up against the wall and tries desperately to blend into it wanting to completely disappear.

Putting in a show of interest but the timing will probably be tough for me to match.
I am in Seattle (PST) and I usually get home at 7pm.
Mondays might be a little more open as I can get to a computer and stay online from 5PM PST until ???.
I also have a Roll20 account. Such a great platform to use.

Ever since the loss of his memory several years ago, Runner had sought answers to his past.
Was he running toward or away from those answers?
-
Who was Johnathan?
Who was Two-Bulls?
He can see his mother's face but cannot remember her name.
-
Now, after the Sphere stole his strong emotions, he just doesn't care anymore.
No love; no hate; nothing to drive him to seek his former self.
Now he is cold inside.
The only thing he knows for sure is what he sees in front of him at the moment.
These people around him were familiar.
They had grouped together for security and support.
He will continue that.
He will continue.
He will.
He.

Runner secures his Jeep and grabs the grenades and ammo from the back.

Move thru bad terrain...:

When you have to deal with bad terrain, roll+cool, plus your vehicle’s handling.
On a 10+, you fly through untouched. On a 7–9, choose 1:
• You slow down and pick your way forward.
• You push too hard and your vehicle suffers harm as established.
• You ditch out and go back or try to find another way.
On a miss, the MC chooses 1 for you; the others are impossible.

The smell of guzzoline and rubber remind Runner who he is (at the moment anyway).
He leans heavily on the bumper and side panel of Brando as he staggers to the driver's door.
Once inside, (and after unlocking a few secret ignition locks) he starts the engine and waits for the others to climb in.

Runner looks timidly at Scarlet...
Then down at the glow of his stolen life...
Then back to Scarlet...
-
"But I am still down there... was still down there...
I don't know anymore.
Am I Runner or Jonathan?
Can I ever be him again?
I thought I was fine not knowing; not remembering.
Let me have just one more look.
If I don't see anything I will go; I won't look any more."

-
He then turns and calls out to the Sphere below...
-
"HELLO! Jonathan. Are YOU There?
Can anyone HEAR me?"

-
Runner waits...

Runner has a traditional mental block/Dissociative Amnesia with a huge guilt wall hiding his past from him.
Mooshy hinted that he might have had a traumatic event as a child connected with the vault Runner just blew up so he might never find out now.
If you eat his brain just don't leave him a vegetable :)

COOL+3 | Hard=0 | Hot+1 | Sharp+1 | WEIRD-1 | Armor 0 | Harm 2/6 | EXP 2

Runner stares up; blinking the falling dust from his eyes.
-
Was it worth it?
Am I any more cured of amnesia or that emotional void?
What was I doing anyway?

He turns his head to look at the bright yellow light shining through the cracks in the pile of rocks to his left.

Runner can't believe his selfishness has caused such destruction.
He always seems to leave chaos in his wake but this time it is way worse.

He feels the earth reverberate from the deep bass of the drum as both sound and feeling lull him and his siblings to sleep.
-
In the morning, we walks with his mother down to the church a mile away.
